IIRC, we had this very same level of suspicion around the last couple of windows!? Accusations of filthy lies, dirty deceit, and conspiracy theories galore.
And just like the definition of dé jâ POO, we have the same turds of discontent floating up on the sandy Leeds United beaches again.
A reminder of what happened last time; Hazaar! Accounts were published! And everyone was "oh! We were really close to crossing the thresholds of PSR safety, weren't we.? "
That is all. Carry on!

Good point Brighty, and of course the club aren’t going to be able to hide their spending capabilities when accounts are published.

For myself, I found Evans statements crass and patronising, fully appreciate you cannot spend what you haven’t got but there were contradictory statements from the chairman (who wanted to speak) and emphasised spending unit the last day and then we have DF openly talking about the risk of a strike force with such a record of injuries.

Why so many centre backs if PSR was always the limiting factor.

Take the example of Woodster and the money and commitment he gives every week of every season, Evans just doesn’t seem to get the average supporter and sadly shareholders are way in front of supporters interests or concerns.

And people can say it is what it is in the modern game, but as is mirrored In politics you can tell people they’ve never had it so good for so long, but when it’s wholly contrary to the evidence in front of them, then things break down and become fractured.

I also know communication will almost certainly will not improve under the 49ers but don’t be surprised if the anger and level of resentment continues to grow.

Supporters are getting taken for granted more than ever Class. At one time a lot of owners / directors, in our case, Silver and Fotherby were Supporters as well. Unfortunately these types are becoming few and far between.

Good post class.
I think there will always be discontent until we get what we have needed for years.
I think the window was set up wrong with no back up plan like not being able to sell anyone.
Purchases should have been structured differently.
It all went pear shape at the end due to poor planning and inexperience.
We may well be tottering on psr. Time will tell.
But their attitude toward hard and high paying fans is poor. They don’t understand the percentage of wages done fans spend.
It’s a business to them and they are there to make a profit and can’t argue with that.
They just need a better appreciation and understanding of the other side of the fence.
If we survive then they can claim partial success. If we don’t fake will be long gone and we will be stuck with them.
If it’s true and they want to flip us they are taking a huge gamble. But they probably honestly thought the window would be better. It’s their fault it wasn’t.

Their comments of been up against PSR don't stand up to scrutiny. The choice to focus on defence and midfield - which we've done brilliantly in for players, is odd.

To pay Bamford off and keep Meslier when Bamford could have at least been a back up 9 is strange.

Anyway, onwards and upwards.

To put this in a more global perspective, the relationship between club’s hierarchy and I the fans is at an all time low and if anything it will only deteriorate even further with time.
The fact is in these modern times society is equally disconnected therefore we only follow a pattern that we have all created ourselves.
It’s only because of our generation we remember the times that were but they are long gone, society has evolved into a new beast where we don’t really communicate face to face anymore, social media and all its trappings make all our lives a very different experience compared to before.

So to expect, so to speak, a family way of communication with transparency and trust in modern day football, the reality is that it doesn’t exist anymore sadly.
We live in the new dawn of AI and make believe, nothing that you hear read or even see is potentially true or real anymore.
What do we do?
Like we always do, we adapt.

I have a feeling the Farke is going to be the one that hits his career high in ability level.
I don't like or rate the bloke but I'm confident he will turn into a premier league superstar this year.

I can see him moving on to bigger and better things when his time at Leeds ends next summer.

Well MoT, he is certainly going to have a supreme test! But he has proved his mettle to this point, for sure there is no one better equipped at this moment in time, he knows the club and players inside out and the spirit seems good so yeah, I believe you could be right and if he does that gives the board a lot to think on! I think maybe too this could be set up for Harry to have a breakout season!

Excellent posts Aus.
I agree they got the signings arse about face. Definitely should have got the major buys in first as this would showed intent.

I do find it odd, that actually bringing three strikers in is somehow interpreted as buying no strikers.

I am not sure who I was chatting with on one of the live matchday discussions [one of the friendlies], who was lambasting the club for not buying a new keeper, until I actually pointed out, the new keeper was actually playing in the game he was watching!

Seems some just want to harp on regardless.

The transfer window is closed; we have what we have.
