I'd give Piroe a chance to show what he can do in the premier. Current top scorer in the champ, not saying he'll be guaranteed a start but definitely keep him. Remember Paddy surprising us all in the prem when we went up a few seasons ago and ending up with an England cap? He maybe lazy, so was Viduka.

Pitoe is currently the ONLY natural finisher we have
Scoring ( enough) goals in EPL will be our biggest challenge.

Piroe isn't good enough for Prem
Last Seez many said MJ was going to set champo on fire
That hasn't ever worked
Piroe in Prem won't work either
In June July we now need to set sentiment aside and act in BEST interests of club and not player
We seen what happens when players believe ( wrongly ) their better than they are over last 2 seasons
Mass exodus, and no issues with it
We now need to start a massive culling of a squad that would not cut mustard in Prem, easily need 6-8 new faces of a better quality or else in Southampton+Leicester all over again.

Once in awhile a trend is broken, but by and large it's safe enough to say an awful lot of our squad are not good enough
I take your point indeed , but as new kids in town we won't have time to " see " if Joel can do it
We need goals immediately, and That's why I believe we need a higher calibre,

The only way we would be buying six to eight players is if we decide to buy cheap rubbish or get very lucky.
For once Baz is right concerning Piroe, so long as we are strong in all other areas there’s no reason why Piroe can bag a decent amount of goals.

It is possible to find bargains that are good players. 9ers have done wonders with recruitment so far and I have faith we can continue but we need to get the right faces in the recruitment team as a priority. Having said that, we should already have a list of targets from the outbound team so we shouldn't be starting from scratch.

It’s not hard to imagine the derision around here if Leeds spent £3.5M on a player for the EPL, a bargain! …”doing it on the cheap”…. ”asset stripping”…. ”no ambition”…. ”clueless about English football…. ” Is only a flavour of what was said when we loaned Rothwell and signed Tanaka.
Aa for Delap, he’s good but I don’t all the hype personally…he’s got 12 goals in his first season in the EPL, good, but hardly better than Bamford, who no one thought at the time was good enough.
I’m sure we will strengthen there, but I hope if we do so, it is for someone demonstrably better than Piroe and he won’t be that for £3.5M. Rodrigo cost us £33M, and he’s been our striker for a while, but that’s what you need to spend to get anyone appreciably better.

I did say or get lucky, but to get lucky with eight players might be a big call.
I still don’t think they’ll be bringing in that many players, yes there needs to be upgrades but you forget Farke like Bielsa, doesn’t like to work with too many players in his squad.
So i would imagine possibly four to five coming in which would be realistic with the not so much money that we are allowed to spend due to PSR and being a newly promoted team.

I am agreeing with you Chris; I was just highlighting that when we have spent numbers like £3M, this board lights up with derogatory statements about the club, right from the Bates years to now. Tanaka cost us £3M and setting aside whether he is good enough for the EPL, someone would pay £15-20 now. It would be great the for the Ed's to rake up some of the comments when we paid "nothing" for Rothwell, but sold Gray for £45M. I honestly think we will buy 2-3 "EPL" players and then loan, take on free agents because that is the limit of our spending power.
