I know it's difficult but we're all going to have to probably wait until 11pm transfer deadline day to see all of the new additions Farke desperately needs

I expect there could be as many as 8 more signings with Sinisterra and Adams definitely leaving and possibly Gnonto and Summerville staying with Gnonto going to have to make a grovelling apology if he is to have any chance of building bridges with Leeds.

Until those new players arrive I think we'll do well to pick up any points but you never know we may see at least one new signing this week that makes the team a lot stronger than at the weekend.

Not the start we all hoped for though and fuelling very worrying imaginings.

50 bucks no more than 4.? At most. 45 says 3.

2.) 14 Aug 2023 15:05:22
I will pay a season ticket price to see that little rat start grovelling! Now that Mancini has gone, his chances of further international caps are stuffed anyway! Anyone who disrespects our club, and therefore all of us, only deserves disrespect back imo. Rat.

I'm just wondering whether Leeds are just putting Meslier in the shop window till the transfer window closes in the hope another club comes in for him with at least a bid of £15 million.

All the positive quotes from Meslier seem to me to be a bit artificial and solely designed to give the impression that Leeds are not desperate to offload him which I think we are in order for us to raise vital funds to bring in a couple more players we need.

We shall see how this pans out but I'll be surprised if Darlow was brought in to be Meslier's understudy.

I would be very surprised if Meslier was shipped out. My thoughts are that Darlow is in for back up let’s not forget Darlow was on loan at Hull his stats are pretty average and for the Premiership not very good. His price was a reasonable reflection of standard.
However he is a competent keeper and one that will hopefully keep Meslier on his toes because if Mez does start making many errors again, Darlow will take his place in the Championship.

Are we all taking for granted that because Farke got Norwich promoted twice he will get Leeds promoted straight away?

Let's face it the pressure and expectation at Leeds is considerably higher than at Norwich and so we can't count our chickens that Farke will be able to deal with all that and have us storming the league.

Vieira doesn't fill me with much more optimism except he does have what could be considered more experience at handling pressure situations but that is going back to his playing days, similar to Gerrard so not exactly a convincing and decisive factor in choosing between Farke and Vieira.

In all honesty I think we need someone who can handle the stress and anxiety the best and I'm starting to wish Rafa Benetez was in the frame but out of the two who are left it's 50/ 50. no guarantees with either.

Absolutely people are!

No manager guarantees promotion.

All the nay saying about VIERA is for me unjustified.

Rumours he fell out with eze, but we only hear one side of it all yet people use that as a damning indictment.

I’m more bothered about getting the player recruitment right and giving the manager the tools to work with rather than just a set of tools! ?.

2.) 22 Jun 2023 14:32:13
Personally, I feel Farke plays exciting attacking football.

3.) 22 Jun 2023 16:53:56
I’m not taking anything for granted! We’ve got a great opportunity but we have to make the most of it! Lot to do and to do well whoever is manager!

4.) 22 Jun 2023 18:46:53
As Ron Atkinson once said, we should have great bouncebackability….!

5.) 22 Jun 2023 22:52:59
Macca of course no guarantees but who would you put your life savings on to get Leeds United promoted from Championship

Someone who has achieved it twice before with the mighty Norwich ?

Or someone who has . umm what has he done? . err nothing ???.

Oh Sweaty the irony of calling out Leeds fans opinions on who our new manager should be as being "ineducated" did make me smile.

I'm only only teasing you but in all honesty I think Vieira would not be a good fit and I personally would prefer Farke.

Indeed Macca
Sweaty normally spot on posts but definitely not that one.

I felt very upset not surprisingly yesterday and the thought of Championship football again really turned me off football all together but after a good night's sleep and with the sun shining I feel a brand new level of optimism about Leeds United.

So no Bermo, I won't be rushing out to buy a Man City top, I will like all of us face what comes next season which hopefully we get off to a good start and our young guns plus some experienced heads can give us the very opposite of what this season and most of last season gave us. entertainment, pride and joy!

I'm trying to be positive Macc. We beat spuds 4-0 Bournemouth only have to draw and we're safe ???????.

2.) 22 May 2023 10:08:13
Unless Leicester win one and draw one.

3.) 22 May 2023 10:23:06
Actually the more I think about it the future's not as bleak as everyone may have thought yesterday for Leeds. we probably need to get relegated to clear the decks and come back much stronger as hard as that is to face.

I'm hoping we will have the last laugh this time next year and Everton will finally get their just deserts because I'm sure next season they will start with a significant points deduction that they somehow inexplicably avoided this season.

4.) 22 May 2023 14:29:07
Unfortunately Farsley, Bournemouth away fans won’t be urging their players forward to get a win or draw if that has any possibility of helping keep us up - more likely chanting for them to shoot whenever they’re facing their own goal and considering a back pass to their keeper.

5.) 22 May 2023 17:22:58
Spirit lifting posts Macc! Spot on!

I notice that CDK has played 11 times for AC Milan since he snubbed us and decided to sign for the Italian giants for £30 million and has not scored yet.
He scored 18 times for FC Bruges last season playing just behind the main striker as he is for his new club so he clearly isn't finding it as easy at a higher level and I would wager that our failed pursuit
of CDK will turn out to be a blessing and in Gnonto we have captured the bargain of the season.

On paper 2 points behind with 3 to play is a good chance but like I said I think it's a slim chance because of Farke's team set up and substitutions over the last few weeks demonstrating to me unfortunately Farke is not seeing things clearly and so he doesn't fill me with as much optimism anymore.

However I'm hoping he has a few wise heads around his coaching staff at least that can persuade Farke to tweak his rather stubborn and predictable approach.

I think maybe have Gray instead of Rutter at 10 with Gruev and Kamara holding and then I would find a spot for Joseph interchanging with Gnonto and Summerville out wide. Just mix it up now and be more attack minded.

I think Farke's reluctance to not start Joseph today was a very bad error of judgement and then the subs were all over the shop as was the gameplan but we will see in 9 days
time if Farke changes to a more pro active side.

If we don't go up Automatically or the play offs then so be it I'd still keep Farke despite my critisms I'm just disappointed that so late in the season the wheels look like coming off but I do think either way Farke will learn from this and be a better manager for it.

At the end of the day people make mistakes, we all do, were only human but also when a big red flag keeps constantky waving at you and saying things ain't working as they are, you need to take notice and change the approach.

I still wish the team and Farke all the best and will be cheering them next season whatever league we are in and would love us to still make top 2 or go up via the Play offs at Wembley so where's their life but
today and the last few games have been sobering and my initial reaction to today's defeat is we've blown it now but time will tell.

Farke was a striker himself but his judgement calls on this most important area of the pitch is breathtakingly poor atm when the stakes are high and the pressure at maximum you have to be able to recognise what is lacking and what is needed.

I think although not impossible realistically we have only a slim chance of going up automatically now and that's because Farke's decision making these last few games has been so erratic when calmness is required and a clear tactical gameplan deployed which isn't happening and the players now look unsure and low on confidence and I'm struggling to see where we get a win from unless there's an Epiphany inside Farke's head and he seriously rethinks his current strategy that looks destined to end with Leeds playing in the Championship next season.

Yes I think last night if it wasn't already the final straw as far as Bamford starting up front is concerned it will be now for the final 4 games and none of this oh he isn't getting the service nonsense and he isn't the only player that is not performing at an acceptable level.

The simple truth is we need a more threatening presence up front a quicker stronger target man for others to pick out and take their chances which against Sunderland and Coventry especially has been desperately needed.

We can still do this but Farke has to drop Bamford from the starting 11 against Blackburn and maybe a couple of others too and if he does I'm confident we will win on Saturday and get the points we need from the other 3 games to scramble over the line and earn an automatic promotion spot but my oh my we ain't half making heavy weather of this.

Excellent summary of the circus that is Leeds United Sweaty.

In my humble opinion we are completely broken unless the next 2 weeks proves otherwise and we have to accept mediocrity and being rinsed for at least the next 5 years, hopefully we don't slip any further down the pyramid and all the young talent we have grows into a great team worthy of promotion back to the Premier league.

Maybe we're cursed I don't know with attracting penniless owners who invariably make a pigs ear of running our great club competently while we watch with envy at the likes of Brighton, Brentford and Bournemouth overtake us as a prefered destination for the cream of Championship talent to go to instead of Leeds.

Boro have been suffering mostly mediocrity for the last ten years since Orta left their employ and I've seen nothing so far from our new supposed saviours to indicate we won't take a similar trajectory.

Depressing times aka groundhog day!

I know Oldbri it's one of the worst aspects of following Leeds or has been for the last few seasons. like pulling teeth.

I really hoped The 49ers would hit the ground running, despite Victor Capone's best efforts, and we would have had all our new signings done and dusted by now.

Hopefully Adams's sale triggers an influx of at least 3 new players otherwise we are going to be playing catch up to the likes of Leicester and Southampton who look ominously set to occupy the top 2 places.
