So glad DCL is getting the opportunity to prove his many doubters wrong, you can guess perhaps what he was telling Willy after the match, keep sending in those kind of balls and I’ll make sure it goes in the net.
He has lacked good service into the box by his w.

I think my only frustration last night was that we didn't get that ball across at the first opportunity; we seem to want to create the perfect cross - which of course Willy did in the end. Amps did well to get that ball to him.

15 Dec 2025 18:34:20
That’s what Gnonto can do unlike Aaronson who probably would have fell over.

15 Dec 2025 19:24:21
I think they may have been working on the supply to DCL, I hope it wasn’t just a one off from Willy, they really need to target him with quality crosses, I think he can out leap any defender in the Premiership, Ronaldoesque if you like.

Still concerned that we’ll lose him to injury at some point though, fingers crossed and that goes for Okafor too. Lose both of them and we are in trouble.

Last season Bogle supplied lots of first time crosses, hasn't got forward as much this season as expected, but this formation will hopefully allow him to get back to his best.

16 Dec 2025 04:45:19
He had the opportunity for the first 11 games opti but failed. The new system obviously suits him and long may his hot streak continue. He is currently doing what he is paid to do which is my prerequisite. He wasn’t before.

There were some chances that he could have done better with but in the main the service he received was little to poor. Bogle who last season was impressive with his assists but not so far this season and with no James and Gnonto it meant very little was coming his way.
More to do with that in my interpretation than the change of formation.

So farkes fault with choice of formation and tactics opti? Not dcl?

16 Dec 2025 08:59:46
I believe it has everything to do with the change of formation Opti but that’s what makes it a banter site.

Agree service was poor previously, but that’s because we had three defensive midfielders sitting deep zero creativity, and Gabby and Bogle seldom had the opportunity to cross the halfway line let alone create something when our wide players were an unfit Okafor and BA.

DCL missed some very easy chances but we knew he was far from fit and all players need match sharpness.

In the new formation DCL has a partner to share the workload Namecheck/ Okafor consequently DCL looking fitter for longer each game.

Don’t matter who or how we score them but the Brentford goal aside the DCL goals have been tap ins or pens, but the signs are promising of late.

Brilliant cross from Willy and can’t DCL leap!

Onwards and upwards and whoever was instrumental in the installation of the software update of DF 2.0 Thank you! (Aus? )

We have fight and passion back and a team to be proud of again, rather than clinging onto reasons, excuses to explain the previously inept performances witnessed at Brighton, Forest and Burnley.

Credit where it’s due Daniel keep going and make hay whilst teams lose players for AFCON.

16 Dec 2025 09:38:39
Like he said himself, he's fitter than ever, and that's another game under the belt with a full 90.
Re Boges. I did get twitchy a few times the other night when Rodon of all players was interchanging passes with him down the right in very advanced positions! Was it just me?

16 Dec 2025 10:07:29
Spot on class. Can’t wait for version 3. He will be a monster manager ?.

16 Dec 2025 10:43:56
Without doubt the 3-5-2 has given us another option that works well, it should be noted that against Liverpool it wasn’t working until we reverted to 4-3-3.
I’m very happy that Farke has been more flexible in his tactics but definitely not accepting that the players were disinterested and couldn’t be bothered against Forest and Brighton, they were in my opinion both much better teams than Brentford and playing them both away they did play the better football and made us look poor, that’s also down to our low quality.

We will still struggle in away games with whatever formation he plays and that's simply us being essentially a Championship club.

DCL’s involvement is getting better and as Class points out that will be down to fitness and not forgetting having to gel with his new teammates which quite often doesn’t happen overnight.

Stach and Gudmundsson are also players who have also needed time to adjust to their new teammates.
This all bodes well for us so long as we can avoid a calamity of injuries at the same time like we did with Bielsa with a thin squad.

I’m glad fans are happy for now and not calling for Farke to be sacked as I felt this would not be necessary in the long run of this season. However I haven’t changed my mind that we are still in a battle for that 17th place, it’s that or relegation as far as I’m concerned but I’m very hopeful that we will just nick survival.

It wasn't just you Bright, he may have heard me yelling from here to get back in position!

16 Dec 2025 12:52:10
That's a really great point too, Opti! Let's face it, the equalising goals have both come from subs in good time, and a reversion to a flat back 4.
Stach and Gabs both starting to shift up a gear, plus Amps starting to settle back into MF is a huge bonus.

And Brendan, for all his detractors, has injected energy and a spark as a sub too.
Also worth pointing out the lack of B plans from opposing coaches when Farke makes tactical tweaks!? Maybe limpness in tactical nous is part and parcel of gaffers these days?

16 Dec 2025 17:22:43
Lol Canada! I was yelling too! ??.
