Think we have to be happy with a point, they are good tough side at their ground, especially after going one down.
A big improvement has happened recently, think most of us feared we’d be in bottom 3 after this run of games, nice to have slight space.
We need to invest in JANUARY, ideally I’d like to see another striker and think that we still need creativity in MF.
Probably stick to 3 DMF against top sides but at home and against bottom half of teams, drop one of them and have someone who can make things tick, again down to 49ers.

In and out of phone reception as on way to Esperance.
Overall happy with that. Think slightly negative first half but they were always going to come at us. Better team in second half and slightly unlikely to get the 3 points.
Think dcl should have got a penalty.
Whole team put a shift in but overly impressed with stach, amps and gabby today.

Totally agree Aus about the penalty claim.
The ref couldn't wait to point to the spot when Thiago threw himself to the ground, but it was exactly the same for DCL, and he had no interest.
I don't think either should be given, otherwise we end up with 10 pens a game, but if you give one, then you have to give the other.
Apart from that, I am really happy with the turnaround in performances, and our ability to attack and score, while looking solid (ish) at the back and in the middle of the park.
Couple of quality signings in January would be nice and very much needed.
I think we need a prolific striker (who, I have no idea, an attacking midfielder, wide man and maybe another CB for backup/ rotation. I know it's a big wish list, but it's Christmas!

It was 100% a penalty on DCL, even moreso that they were awarded one for diving and it was only the fact that he was offside that it was disallowed.
I can't blame Farke for setting up how he did. They've only lost to man city at home and get their goals on the break. Their goal was a deflection off of Bijol so another case of points dropped because of a bad luck deflection.
We neutralised one of the most effective home teams In the league.

delighted with the point - was always going to be tough to go to Brentford. I think we could actually have taken all 3 but beggars and choosers etc.

The pen the ref tried to give was an obvious dive as Ouattara somehow managed to claim he'd been held back but still fall forwards. DCL was clearly held back by Collins to prevent him getting to the ball, so an obvious pen.
The key question is not why the ref missed it, which I can accept, but why VAR took no action, which I cannot accept.
