I think as a championship manager he’s what you need. Gets his players fired up. Wouldn’t ever want him as mate premier league manager. A bit like a Neil warnock type. Off the pitch wilder is a lovely man. If you rang at 2am broke down at the side of the road he’d help you type guy.

I actually quite like Wilder but obviously in the minority.

Totally on board with Corkey on this one. Hate him for an oppo, but respect him as a gaffer. If we were to go down again, I wouldn't be looking much further than him to get us back up!

I have a mate who knows him well and says he is a top bloke.
People say don’t rate him in prem but went from leauge 1 to 9th in prem with compativaly small transfer kitty.
Has a style and knows how to get best out of lesser teams. I’ve always rated him.

Berm, he had an outrageous budget and if villa failed to be promoted they were fluffed. However I still think he can get the best out of players and does fire up them up.

Live away days? He had an outrageous budget to get sheff utd from 12th in leauge one to 9th in prem? 100% certain he spent less than Belisa who took leeds from chasing promotion under mink (we under achieved after monk) to 9th in prem.
Pound for pound Wilde did a far better job and don’t think any one can dispute that? Can they?
