Evans' interview is a bewildering and infuriating read.
None of it makes sense, contradiction after contradiction.

The biggest take aways, "we want to avoid doing business in January"
And
"We're averaging two points a game at home".

Agree8 Disagree0

Deluded to say the least.

Seems to be talking out of his backside. Evans and Underwood both got these jobs without any previous experience, how they achieved this we will never know.

Yet if we do avoid relegation and stay in the Premiership these words of contempt towards our recruitment people and managing director Robbie Evan’s will be conveniently forgotten like last season and replaced with statements like, "oh the recruitment was fantastic again, well done them"
So typical of some fans to shoot everything down before anything has even started, like they know everything already.

Agree OP,

03 Sep 2025 23:41:13
Think everyone would loved to be proved wrong OP, but there’s such a massive disconnect between 49ers and the supporters and this Evans idiot they’ve rolled out, gaslighting us all about how keeping the same players over new recruits as some miraculous achievement, simply beggars belief.

The game is gone, if idiots like this are the link between the club and the supporters and were meant to swallow it, jog on Evans.

MD’s of a Premiership football clubs are not going to come across as your mate from down the pub. I think sometimes this, it’s them against us gets a bit murky and isn’t necessary.
It’s evident in any very high profile business you can’t divulge every single detail of information, it just doesn’t work like that.

04 Sep 2025 08:04:10
I'm with OP, LaD, Ani and Alf obviously in the main on this whole issue. I agree that the finishing touches were not made to the playing squad. What Alf has said is 100% logical, and who didn't expect sales to generate the required funding? Accounts will eventually show that all of this need to find a darker, more sinister side to the club operations is proper "guff", to generate fodder to complain about.
I hope the footie is back ASAP, and deflects away from the mongering, back to the main aspects of the matches themselves.

04 Sep 2025 08:24:00
How did you feel about his answers in the interview then OP?

04 Sep 2025 11:13:33
MDs of Premier league clubs are like politicians, they only tell you what they want you to know and are happy to br in the public domain. I confess to being content with most of our transfer activity right up to the last few days. I'm concerned where the goals are going to come from, but only time will tell. Making snap judgements after only 3 games is pointless, let's see where we ate after 10.

04 Sep 2025 12:24:59
Feath, look, it’s like JR has just posted these MD’s are like politicians, you are not going to get the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth. If they did most clubs fans would be protesting and causing an uproar.
Their job is to glide carefully over the sensitive news and tell you want to hear with the rest.
Nobody is born under a rock these days and we tend to know already that part of the information we are being fed is not true anyhow.
It’s just the way it is and that will not change.
I can also assure you that it’s no different at any other club.

04 Sep 2025 13:52:13
I don't disagree with you regarding the truth OP, it was for me, an interview with very patronising and contradictory answers.

03 Sep 2025 17:51:03
And what about Harrison would make it hard for largie to get minutes and that’s why he was loaned out! Unbelievable stuff.
