Is it feasible to over spend on PSR by say £30 million on a new striker and then before next June's PSR deadline sell a a few fringe players to keep us within the rules?
James and Aaronson would bring in not far off that amount.
The first season back is the hardest to improve the squad and imo the January window is a tough one financially.
It makes sense to me but I'm open to be shot down.

It's an interesting question Corkster and I would say worth thought. Of course the risk is if certain players perform badly selling them to balance could prove problematical! You are kinda doing a Radz and maxing the club credit card on an unknown eventuality. Dicey!

Don't see why not Corkey as long as when the accounts are submitted next June, everything is within the acceptable loss amount so yes splash a bit more now and look to off load a couple of players later but I think the offloading bit would have to be in January because the next transfer window is in July after the accounts have to be sorted.

I believe Leeds have more cash to spend but it’s the PSR rules holding the club back.
With the Sky, extra sponsorship and just being in the EPL the funds are there for the club to speculate.,
Unfortunately due to the elitism set in place certain promoted clubs are at a disadvantage. When I say certain clubs I mean bigger teams like Leeds who generate large income yet are put on the same standing as clubs like Burnley Sunderland and clubs like Luton in previous seasons.,
Again maybe I’m way off but it’s the way I see it?

In theory of course trouble is everyone knows everyone’s business, if leaked over psr that leaves us vulnerable to poor offers. Bit like the risdale fire sale.

It worked for Forest and Villa. Ok just about.
I always knew it would be a tough season but I honestly believed our recruitment would be better.
I’m so disappointed I must admit and anyone who disagrees must be delusional.

I would think the problem is if it doesn't work you are leaving yourself in a situation where you are forced to sell gems like the Archie, Gio and Cree scenario. But 7nless we get quality offensive players in our duck is rubbered.

You can only be dissapointed at the end of the season… I remember being delighted by recruitment under Belisa and that turned out bad. Proof is in the pudding and until that pudding turns out to be sour I think we should all enjoy and support it.

I agree anyone who thinks this summer of recruitment was a success is utterly deluded.
You are right Cork, Villa and Forest gambled with PSR and look where it got them. We should should do the same.
