Some say that the manager makes the team. It's hard to deny the positive influence that Farke has had on the team because, here we are, looking down the barrel of lifting a cup, scoring record amount of goals and earning 100 points.
If that is in part due to the managerial quality of Farke, how much of that is due to Paraag? Our previous owners were obviously rubbish, do our new owners have half an ounce of nouse about them
In the same way the team has talent that can't all be attributed to Farke, and that Farke has talent that can't all be attirubuted to the 69ers and Red Bull, I think credit, where credit is due to our new owners.
Thank you, Paraag, 49ers and Red Bull for your contributions.

I’m very pleased with the outcome mot. And all deserve praise. Top to bottom. But.
If sheff hadn’t imploded like we did last season then we’d be in play offs. It’s a great time and I love all the players hearts and they and Farke deserve the praise.
My honest belief is. We should have won this league by 10-15 points. The owners got 100 % lucky not strengthening the squad. But we up. So. Let’s learn by past mistakes. I doubt Liverpool will strengthen squad after walking prem. No need.

Marathe deserves credit for his vital "chat" with Farkey post Swansea match dropped points
. and the subsequent vital positive much needed outcomes
And yes Aus . the Sheff Utd implosion hugely helped too.
Welcome back Aus . some much needed balance restored to this forum.

Not sure it was only down to luck Aus, the Championship is a very difficult arena to be in, for any club.
But of course there is some luck in football it goes with the game, as much as I thought Ipswich had a bigger slice of good fortune than I expected last season, that’s why in my opinion they are coming straight back down and I said that at the beginning of the season.

I agree Aus, We should have walked the league this season. My prediction was to win by six clear points. Now we are looking at winning by six+ clear goals.
They are doing a lot right, Bermo. Not just with the team and coach, but larger movements for the club as a whole. Buying back Elland Road? Expanding the capacity by 20k? Turning ER into an entertainment hub and linking it with the White Rose Centre? All amazing moves that we haven't seen from any previous owner.
As cliche as it may sound, there really hasn't been a more exciting time to be a Leeds supporter than right now.
To reiterate a point, I don't think many fans or supporters fully realise what will happen next season.
A lot of fans are looking at just staying in the prem next season, our owners are looking higher than that.
With the support they've given the club so far, I believe they can achieve a top 6 finish next season.
I can't wait to thrash Man U at home and away.

absolutely agree MoT - fans will be shocked by what happens next season and the following few. 9ers are NOT messing about.
next season will still be very much about consolidation and possibly a 15th place finish the goal as the first stage in a 2 year rebuild (top 8/ 6 would be dreamland. Not saying its impossible but i feel it will be too far next season) aimed at stabalising our position before really pushing on after that. I estimate that they will want things to align with the new stadium completion in 2028.

Top 6? woah some prediction.
How?
29 Apr 2025 17:06:50
Said the same I think we will be closer to euro thst relegation next season and at the risk of sounding cocksure I’m very rarely wrong with my predictions (by that I mean never wrong and always right… there I maybe did sound a bit cocksure )
29 Apr 2025 17:43:31
15th next season sounds way more plausible indeed Alf
6th even 8th would be startling.

Bottom line Aus, is that Blunts DID implode. That's football. It was us last season, and others benefitted. It's all part of the game.

If I’m not wrong clubs that are newly promoted are not allowed to spend the same amount of money as the established clubs in the Premiership and I believe that is for three years. So there will be a cap on spending.
I think not getting relegated is the first priority for next season, if we achieve that then we are hopefully on the right path.
I’m happy that the 49er’s are ambitious and so they should be, but we are not going to be qualifying for Europe for a while yet.

I'm with you Bermo.
If you consider where Leeds were two seasons ago, we were a club imploding. Talent fleeing left, right and centre, we couldn't hold onto people, we had no money and didn't own our ground. Now look at us. Our team this season would spank our premier league team 6-0.
We have the best recruitment in the league and some of the best signings in the league. Consider Bogle and Solomon; two players who their own fans said were crap. Whose the best wing-back in the league? According to Sky sports, Bogle. Whose the best midfielder and best signing of the year? According to Sky sports, Tanaka.
Now, take that change in two seasons, or the change between last season and this season, and imagine what we could do next year.
We will spend £150 million + transfer money, buying players for low amounts who have high talent. Tanaka is worth 20-30 million and we paid 3 million for him. Bogle, Firpo, Piroe, Rodon, Solomon, Rothwell, Tanaka, Gruev and on and on. Name a player whos value hasn't increased.
Combine all of that with the investment from RB - the largest investment in english football history. They didn't choose man u, man city, chelsea, arsenal, notts, QPR, Liverpool, Tottenham, Everton or the rest. They choose Leeds and they're going to make sure the prem teams know our name and fear our new, flashy stadium.
With Alf's news on new positions for the boardroom staff, we are absolutely on path to dominate the premier league and, if I;m honest, fans saying we want a 15th position place are offensively short-sighted.
We won't be Man city, liverpool or Newcastle level next season, but those clubs will fear coming to Elland Road.
This time next year, we will have made such a name for ourselves in the league, that man U glory supporter fans will flood to our little city and stadium.
TL-DR - IT'S A GREAT TIME TO BE MARCHING ON TOGETHER!

Red Bull also have sponsorship at Spuds btw but not the others.

Really interesting thread! I’d probably settle for solid survival over the next 2/ 3 seasons but it is a real opportunity for the owners to prove themselves capable of moving us on both on and off the pitch. The quality of the retentions and acquisitions this summer will be a big clue! Having owners who want to be in Europe every year isn’t enough, they’ve got to show themselves capable of delivering it consistently and we’re still a long, long way away from that. First phase accomplished!
I’m happy, I can remember being able to pop in to Elland road on a match day, buying a ticket and then visiting my grandparents before coming back for the game! Even in 2016/ 17 I was buying match day tickets easily! It was the Christensen spell where I really felt the recovery starting to build and the club were offering half season tickets at Christmas, it suited my post retirement circumstances and I was in! Some brilliant days and nights since then! Some pain as well but hopefully lots of learning that sets us in good stead!
Really looking forward to the summer and the new season!
