I will tell you what’s good about Meslier, no matter how much crap he gets he keeps coming back, it’s a lonely place between the sticks when you make a mistake, you are literally remembered for the cock ups but never the super stops that he makes quite regularly but a striker, well he can miss loads and be ok, but a goal keeper is a different kettle of fish!
Meslier is 100 times better at commanding his area now, his distribution is getting better and his shot stopping is a lot better.
He gets himself misplaced sometimes and he makes mistakes that are excusable due to his age.
His game will grow along with his confidence as he grows into a more accomplished and mature individual.
The only thing that has upset about Meslier this season was the unfortunate mistake he made at Sunderland, what upset me was not the mistake but the laughing with the Sunderland manager at the end of the game! That was a big big no no for me and if he does that again then there is no way I will defend him, you play for Leeds United, you live Leeds United, I for one was not laughing as many of you weren’t.
He’s a good lad though with a lot of learning to do.
MOT ALAW ??.

His shot stopping was better 3 years ago behind closed doors in season 2020/ 2021 ; his distribution too.
Pasr 3 seasons he more often than not concedes from first shot on goal
He has marginally improved though in coming for crosses and catching ball rather than punching . but its still not good.

As a striker it is certainly not ok to keep missing woody. Not sure why you would think that. He has improved slightly on catching the ball. That s about it. He was always a decent shot stopper. His positioning is woeful and his distribution has got worse.
Sunderland players and manager annoyed me too. Very childish behaviour.

Le Bris was his former coach at Lorient, I imagine that was pleasantries with his former boss, nothing more.
But you are right that he doesn’t deserve all the flak he gets on a pretty constant basis.

I don't hold any grudge against mes as some leeds fans do . I think he is a young keeper who maybe make it at a top league side one day. I do think that this year as we have been so dominant he is not as exposed as say the Premiership years.
I think leeds could do better in that position and I think if we get back in the prem being more under pressure mes will struggle and we will need a alternative option.

It felt at the time like Le Bris may have opportunistically sought to stir things a tad through the laughing with the naive Mes in what was a disastrous end to match for both Mes and LUFC.
A consoling hug from Le Bris for Mes, nowt more, would have been far more appopriate!
Last laugh is for us though as Sunderland can't buy a win now and in freefall ?.

Interesting point baz. No wins in 5 games ?
Imploded ?
Karma for sure.

The mackems ZERO wins in SiX matches Aus . and just a meagre 3 goals scored.
Pleasing stat imo.

Sunderland were not going to continue their good run all the season, they’ll definitely be in the mix come the end of it though.
A damaging game for both teams as they’ll be without important CB’s for their up coming games due to the red cards.

Not sure that makes sense Opti. Why would a team on free fall be in the mix?
Heaps of teams panting to be top 2. Including Leeds on first half performance. Seriously mez. Seriously. Omg.

Every team has their bad spell, blip or whatever you want to call it, it’s hardly a free fall when they are only 5 points from top spot.
On another note have a look at the Blades fixture list over December, I can see them possibly dropping a few points here and there. Ours looks a little less bumpy, but who knows in the Championship, any team can beat another on their day in this mad league.
