Leeds make an enquiry to Manchester United for Nick Powell on loan

Kieran Agard to Bristol City - fee agreed.

strandloper

{Ed013's Note - He has great ambition}

1.) Isn't powell on loan elsewhere?

2.) 20 Aug 2014 20:39:48
He must be in agreement with Neil Kilkenny

3.) We agreed a fee for Agard he got greedy AGAIN, he deserves all he gets.

4.) Nick Powell would be a cracking signing if Cellino can pull it off along will Adryan we would be looking at a very talented midfield could also do with a general in there

5.) So Asgard has chosen Bristol city after not having the right attire for mr c. You would have thought he would have agreed with everything mr c said. Some people don't know a good thing when it's in front of them!

6.) 21 Aug 2014 08:43:52
This is what give footballers a terrible reputation, all of them there all the same, they sign 4 or 5 year contracts for a kings ransome and then a year down the line say there not happy and get another contract out of it, how many times do players see out there contract or sign for random clubs in Turkey, Russia, USA, the Middle East make another fortune and then come back after one season, rant over but what makes Agard think Bristol is a step up from LEEDS(the club he supports) look at Ross & Becchio & Beckford they just see the £ signs, hope it all goes wrong for them, BUT Powell by all accounts could be a good signing, maybe if he looks at the league table he may look for a better option? MOT

7.) Robbie
Im only guessing but let's say MC offered him 10k a week plus bonuses. City offered him 12k a week, that's 100k more per annum gauranteed.
Agard is a greedy individual who tried to twist Rotherhams arm before he eventually signed. He has now took the EASY option but he or his agent will be kicking themselves if we EVER get into the premier league he could have doubled his earnings. ;)

YEP saying Bianchi and Silvestri have signed but nothing on OS?

strandloper

1.) On OS about Silvestri this morning

2.) Der der der der der der der

MAR - KO - SIL - VES - TRI

:)

3.) On OS now about Silvestri. Bianchi deal also completed but just awaiting confirmation. Daniele Cacia and Jonathan Rossini also signing shortly. Keep em coming Cellino. Could do with another defender, winger and striker.

MOT!

Hockaday joins Swindon - no not Town, Supermarine. lol.how the mighty have fallen, what was Cellino thinking of?

strandloper

1.) Strand
I think he's also in panto with BW, at the Millwall Hippodrome

2.) I would not ever work with the hock, I am far too professional to work with someone who sounds like orvil the duck and a far better football manager. Only thing I would let Hock do is clean my penguin but he spoke so much Peruvian I think he would make it worse. that said I do kind of miss the hock in a weird way, kind of how my Mrs misses the Lester Roadhog Moran and His Cadillac Cowboys.

3.) Just seen the end of my post was that I spell check or changed by ed? I have no idea what lesterroadhog moran and his cadilica cowboys means. my ending of that post was rather more crude

{Ed003's Note - must have failed the swear filter bw.}

4.) Lol love it, great name for a new band Lester Road Hog Moran and his Cadillac Cowboys

So 5 games left for Redders then.

strandloper

1.) Redfern Out.

2.) Here here

3.) I'm guessing BW was just being sarcastic - or maybe not lol. Hard to tell with him sometimes

4.) 02 Nov 2014 17:42:31
BW, you serious? Smitch, I know you are. Redders will do a good job.

5.) No in all honest no way redfern out, we always lose to cardiff, they are decent team and Redfern had about 30 minutes to prepare team. I like redfern and will support him until he gives me good reason not too (as Hock and darko did) losing to good team is not reason to turn agnst coach. One bad performance is not a reason to turn against coach (everyone can have bad day at the office) when I see long term problems not being address and same mistakes happening again and again or really underperforming I will say redders out. But I don't think that will happen. I never called for grayson, warnocks or mccd's head and I don't think I will ever call for redders. MOT and up the table we will go soon. Are we better than 19th yes and in time players and coach will show this by moving up the table MOT

6.) Ok BW, fess up. What you been taking? And can I have some?

Is Milanics contract to be head coach or is it that he is an employee of Leeds United, if the latter why doesn't Cellino put him in charge of the Academy rather than pay him for doing naff all.

strandloper

1.) 28 Oct 2014 23:54:42
So our youth don't become too defensive. He all wrong for Leeds. At least we now have Clough's record beat. That ghost laid to rest. Come on Redders!

2.) Agree George. Didn't dislike Darko. Seems like a nice guy. Maybe a good coach. Would have given him a bit longer probably. But in the end, and what was worrying all along, were the negative tactics that were his undoing I think. I know the old adage if you don't concede goals you can't lose - but I prefer the one that says to win a game you just need to score 1 goal more than the opposition

Reading MC's comments about the new head coach ''I’m thinking about a foreign coach, an international coach who I can work with. We need to meet and talk but I think he could be good for
us''. hmmmm. foreign and international, a foreigner whose managed internationally, there's only one in the current betting that fits that profile and that's Carlos Quieroz.

strandloper

1.) See this was MC's plan all along and I called it months back. He always wanted a foreign coach but if come in at first and didn't work we might of got on his back and many would of said. we want an english coach who knows this league. so he went english as poor as he could to make it bad for very few games and then bring in his proper guy and things improve and MC is a hero. I love mc and think he is a very clever man. I personally look forward to the man MC really wants and think he will do well as I think MC knows what he is doing MOT

2.) MC has missed a trick here, I really can't understand why it has taken him two weeks to say Redders isn't the right man to be coach & he needed in the academy. Who in their right mind would want to coach a team when the owner keeps changing his mind when he said in Wednesday's YEP that he hadn't seen a better candidate for the coach's job than Redders

3.) Sorry but disagree shagtastic. if mc said redders not for job would that affect the players. maybe so? so MC keeps cards close to chest. MC has praised Redders rightly so also said nice things are redders will probably go back to his rightful job. MC has been respectful to redders, let the players think redders might be the boss to get best out of players and even ruled him out making players have one last go for redders on tuesday before maybe bringing in the right man. also MC has been clever leaving door open for redders to take reigns again if new boss goes which is always likely with mc's record

4.) 15 Sep 2014 17:58:37
He said an International coach, this could mean one who has managed in more than one country rather than one who has managed a national team. I can't see it being Sabella personally.

5.) Bermondsey don"t you think it would have been better to get a coach in ASAP so he could have worked with the players during the international break? we need a coach that can take us to the next level & I am afraid it is because of the uncertainty around MC keeping coaches on long enough for them to make a difference that the coaches that can do that will not join our club.

6.) I do agree it would of been better to get a coach in before the international break and always best to make appointment asap. not sure of reasons why appointment has not been made quickly but I do feel we have been in good hands in mean time with redders, maybe mc wants to get this right.

Also think the coaches won't come theroy is could not be more wrong and here is why
1. he has signed 32 coaches if it was a problem the coaches would of stopped coming after say 20 at most
2. it is part of job now days and expected
3. it is a great job people in football want to work and be in work because they love football it is not road sweeping
4. getting sacked is no longer a fear as it doesn't affect you getting next job look at steve mcclaren and roy hodgson as two examples of 100's
5. no one wants to be unemployed
6. people have confidence in themselves and think they will make it work
7. stay in job or get sacked win/win due to massive payoff becoming a football manager is almost a none risk job

do not think any manger/coach will not take job other than, not looking for work or have a better offer in pipeline. anyone at our level will manager a club at our level whoever runs the club. in this I have full faith and think bit silly to suggest otherwise

7.) Sorry Bermondsey your reasoning doesn't add up, you are right people take a job to make the difference the problem is MC's track record proves he doesn't give coaches long enough. To turn your logic on its head has it occurred to you what he could of achieved at Cagliari had he given coaches a bit more time?

I've got a left field one for new coach for you - Patrick Kluivert. Looking to get into coaching (currently being mentioned for the Ross County job), would be able to live near his friend and mentor Van Gaal, has all the experience you could wish for, and more importantly for MC would be cheap as is looking to get into coaching. What do you think?

strandloper

1.) I think in the future Kluivert would make an excellent coach, well respected and I imagine would advocate positive passing football, but I feel at the moment we need a tried and tested coach who knows the English game.

Alioski filled in at left back for a game earlier in the season and looked amazing. Couldn't understand when Douglas was out a couple of games back, why we didn't put Alioski in there and start Clarke (I know Clarke is right sided but we could have shuffled it to accommodate)

Please god no, we need goalscoring midfielders. this guy has scored 3 goals in 8 years!

Much as I like him I don't know why Redders was offered it in the first place, yes he won a couple of games whilst in temporary charge but his overall record is worse than the last 3 managers. Got to go back to the academy where he was doing a great job. We've missed out on Zico, Lennon, Pulis, Mackay and Steve Clarke, but there are some great managers still out of work or some who might be tempted. My personal opinion however is that no manager will succeed until the structure is changed back to a traditional managers job rather than the way we do it now which Redders said is different to anybody else. Give Glenn Hoddle a go!

I'd love Solanke, just think Liverpool must rate him too high as they would have sent him on loan somewhere by now, he's been there a while. Really think Maupay would be a great signing.

{Ed001's Note - he is going to Palace.}

Why is no-one looking to sign our divisions top scorer Neal Maupay? In a poor team to be top scorer is some going. Come on Leeds snap him up!
