See we are top of the injuries list for the whole league
Does anyone think we need a full review of why we are getting so many injuries all the time, every season it appears
I wonder if Thorpe Arch is a problem, where it's situated and is a contributing to the injuries
We also bought a second hand pitch from Spuds a few years back, why did they want shot, is that a contributing factor as well?

The 2nd hand pitch from Spuds was only there temporarily, it was installed Jan 21 and then ripped up and a brand new one installed at the end of season 20/ 21 ready for the start of season 21/ 22.

Probably because we have a smaller squad plus some of the players have a long history of injuries and you can add Dan James to that list as well, don’t think we’ll see much of him this season. Although probably fit to play Wales qualifiers then back out injured again.

Part of the 49ers strategy is to bring in players with dicey injury history as you save money. If they overfill certain positions the theory is we will always have someone available and if we can sort the injury issues we get a high value player for a lower fee.
It's a calculated risk and they do the same in the NFL where it has worked in their favour for the most part.

Correct Alf and in fairness to the 49er’s strategy on that was there was probably little to no other alternatives other than doing a pistol packin’ Pete and mortgage the club out to fall foul of PSR.
