Good performance, got the absolute best of the players we had available tonight, Rothwell excellent busy and always looking forwards, be surprised if Sunderland are up there come the end of the season.

Gnoto probably the best player in the division when he plays like this, simply cannot legislate for the very sad ending.

Whilst it’s true when keepers make mistakes and it’s often catastrophic when they do,

BA poor tonight but can be fairly easily replaced in his position especially when everyone is fit.

Our crime is we have nobody to challenge Messellier, Darlow certainly no better, Mahaddy has tonnes of promise but nowhere near ready.

Agree, with others don’t let that be the biggest event of the evening it does a very hard working and committed team a massive disservice.

I would still buy a keeper in January though.

Class we don't need a keeper, I'll tell you what the weak link is. It's Rodon. Another player I like and who gives his all, but he is not a stand out defender. Struijk is by far our best, as is Mez as keeper. The issues we have IMO are in centre midfield.

Well said Class; agree with everything you say. Obviously a very disappointing end, but this is a very hard working team that is starting to click. I was very happy with how the game was going. I think the team is starting to learn how to break these defences down. I know not every one listens to the Sky commentary, but if they do, in both the last two games, the commentary was claiming how difficult it was for Leeds to break these defences and within 30 seconds they scored.

It was always going to be a tough 3 games and I think everyone should agree, we were easily good enough to win all three, despite big players missing and definitely still not reaching the levels I think we can. Several players still not at their best yet.

Feel for Mes; he gets a bad rap regardless, so this was doubly bad for him. Thought it was good to see the team support him.

Have to agree to disagree on Rodon and Mess I’m aftraid HSpoke, what’s that saying form is temporary but class is permanent.

Rodon agreed, is way out of form, but he was our best defender by miles last year, and he will come good again, I’m sure if it.

Sadly in my humble opinion, Mess has a number of technical flaws (positioning m, high balks in his six yard area) which he’s truly never been able to eradicate, solve, consequently there will almost certainly be other “glitches”.

I like the young man but as a goalkeeper unit (including coaching) we’ve fallen short for a number of years now, and for bookies favourites we must be stronger in that area, but I doubt we will sign a keeper in January so he’s our number 1 for the foreseeable.

Put another way, how many championship sides would take Rodon from us? How many would take Illan?

Very rarely disagree with your posts Class but respectfully i do so on Meslier, sorry mate but my opinion is that you are totally wrong on wanting to get rid of our number one.
I don’t think Farke either has the same opinion as you and others I’m sure.
I’m totally behind Mez and back him 100%.

Fair enough OP fine to have different opinions on our very young keeper, you make the most valid point that Farjey rates him best keeper in this league so nothing is changing there.

I rate him one of the best shot stoppers and 1v1 keepers in the league but overall I think there’s already five, six better keepers than ours in this league.
