That surprises me. I guess the money attracts everyone at that age! He’s still loved by the Valencia fans, perhaps that’s why he doesn’t fancy Sevilla! I’d love him to give us one more year, like to see that passion and aggression in the championship but probably hard to meet his terms. Good luck to him!

Not sure I’d write off Pascal! The last three years have been a bit strange for him. Previous to that he had only played 5 championship games for us and suddenly he was CM at Anfield! After that CB and LB in the premiership! In a way the clubs need has probably stunted his natural development as a goal scoring CB. He’s now got the chance to re establish himself at a level that he’s never consistently played in, so I’d keep him and challenge him to win a place and see how he does.

From what I know about Rodrigo from his time at Valencia he is a loyal player and likes to be settled, happy, contributing and liked. Unlike a lot of the others leaving I’ve got a hunch that he would like to stay and be part of a recovery . Not all only about the money for him I think, there’s a chance and in the championship he could be very good!
Willy might actually be one that we sell, make a bit of cash on and look back on as the right decision! Not totally convinced about his attitude and consistency after his early promise.

I suspect Farke will want his own goalie to put a stamp on his team and style! Obviously mixed opinions on Meslier but a lot rate him so probably a good time for all sides to cash in and move on! Like OP I suspect he will have a good career away from us. Not much funny being Leeds goalie over the last two seasons and so think that’s took it’s toll. Hope the lad rebuilds his confidence and does well.

Agreed, the priority must be getting rid of people who don’t want to be at the club and don’t feel they owe us at least one more season to make up for the disaster we’ve just seen that they were part of! If that costs money but leaves us with a group of better more motivated and committed players that stand a better chance of getting straight back up then it is good value! Players I would fight hard to keep if we had any chance, Adams, Harrison, Rodrigo, those I’d keep with a good attitude check would be, Summerville, Gonto and Webber because I’m not sure they finished the year happy bunnies.
