Hi Chaps, looking for some advice, myself and the missus want to bring my 7 year old daughter over to her first Leeds match, we will be travelling from Ireland, I get over at least once a year for a match but finding it more and more difficult to get my hands on tickets year after year, what is the best way to go about it, if I get us all memberships will we be a guaranteed a ticket, I've even looked at hospitality but I can't even get that for the Plymouth game, any pointers would be greatly appreciated?.

Decfromdublin

1.) 07 Oct 2024 19:59:08
Membership doesn't guarantee you a ticket it just allows you the chance to buy one. I would say your best best is to contact a supporters group near you in Ireland as often these groups get tickets allocations and see if they have any spare. That's what I'd do initially as memberships are £65 per person (adult) so a lot of money for a one off. If you have the money hospitality might be an option alternatively.

2.) 07 Oct 2024 20:11:43
Membership would increase your chances, but only marginally to be honest, since you wouldn't qualify for Membership Priority which gives you a 24 hour head start over "new" members. I am away when the Plymouth game goes on sale and I also looked at hospitality as that is always on sale first, but as you say nothing available now.

Personally, I think you have a better chance nearer Christmas since, folks have other things to be doing and / or saving up for the games over Christmas. Your best chance of a guaranteed ticket is either hospitality direct from the club [for a later game], or you pay the cost of the third party sellers who charge €170 - 200 per ticket. I did it once, but have to say it is very expensive for what you get [I had a pie, a pint and priority odds for betting! ]

A long shot, if you have Sky is to join one of their ballots; I won one once [two actually, but the second one was for Arsenal! ].

3.) 07 Oct 2024 22:11:28
Membership helps, but even that doesn't often help, it's really luck of the draw. I have been a member for since day dot, and I really struggle, but I would say outside hospitality it's your only option unless you go to a ticket company. Good luck pal, might see you there if I can get one.

4.) 08 Oct 2024 09:35:58
Thanks lads, I appreciate the feedback, looks like I'll have to join the prawn sandwich brigade in hospitality, I suppose it's nice to be posh once in a while!

5.) 08 Oct 2024 10:06:00
Go for the cheapest Dec. More chance of mucky fat than prawns!

6.) 08 Oct 2024 13:06:31
You would be surprised the amount of tickets still available match day from tick office, also try Champions Travel they do good hospitality tickets, their actually in Ireland.

7.) 08 Oct 2024 15:12:52
Thanks lads, I'll eat the mucky fat if it gets me tickets! I'll check out out Champions Travel, it would be too big of a risk to wait for match day to try the ticket office after spending so much on the flights and accommodation but thanks anyway?.

If we get Sallai/ Hamer, Tanaka, schmidt today if would be a good end to the transfer window and would be confident we will be there/ there abouts come the end of the season. Would love Danny Ings or Inneacho to sign to top of a great transfer window, here's hoping there is some nice surprises today.

Decfromdublin

1.) 30 Aug 2024 10:36:14
For all those on here stating Leeds would sign Sallai or Hamer ( or both ) . give yer heads a wobble lads .

Ain't happening.

2.) 30 Aug 2024 10:39:29
I admire your enthusiasm.

3.) 30 Aug 2024 10:39:57
And looking extremely likely no CF signing

Are the 50 something goals and assists of CS and GR going to be replaced?

It's good job that the Champo is gonner be weaker than last season.

4.) 30 Aug 2024 10:57:36
How much have LUFC received in transfer sales this summer and income red bulls investment, parachute payments etc etc

And how much has been spent on player incoming again? ?

Yeehaw fellas.

5.) 30 Aug 2024 12:05:42
Iheanacho has gone to Sevilla earlier this summer.

6.) 30 Aug 2024 12:37:29
Me bad, I was looking at the Prem released list and hoping he wasn't snapped up already, we could do with someone similar.

7.) 30 Aug 2024 13:59:35
Think Ramazani and a fit Solomon (?) will contribute towards that shortfall Baz. How much I can't say, but I'm expecting big things at this level from then both. MJ will score 15+ this season once he puts first one in the onion bag. Gnonto should get more with him looking more important for us this season. Think we'll be fine. But feel free to argue with me at end of the season if not, mate, haha.

8.) 30 Aug 2024 14:00:37
Having said that still want another CF.

9.) 30 Aug 2024 14:37:10
Hope so Dill . but it remains a concern .

Silver lining might be that there are no very strong clubs player squad wise in Champo league this season it seems.

10.) 30 Aug 2024 14:50:59
Yh I'd agree with that, mate.

11.) 30 Aug 2024 14:55:20
You’re right that we have lost two very capable players, but IF we get the extra couple of signings over the line, we will have much more strength and with it ability, in depth. You’ve said before that the likes of Cree and Gio not delivering at the end of the season, and playoff final, is what cost our promotion. What we will have, is the ability to hook players who aren’t delivering, for players who are equally capable of getting goals and assists. I really do feel we will be in a stronger position than last season, based on this.

12.) 30 Aug 2024 15:46:13
Brighty. a CF, CAM and goalscoring 8 should have been signed after £120 million of sales

We gave signed some good players. but they aren't replacing 50 plus goals.

13.) 30 Aug 2024 16:35:15
And you’re sure of that Baz? BA, DJ, Gnonto, Amps, Largie, Manor, Ao, Rothwell, Firpo, Bogle, MJ……. all able assist providers. Plus whatever else.
We will see, I guess.
(And I’ll ignore what I guess was a glaring omission or typo. )

Waiting on Farke's presser with bated breath here, hopefully he will give us a clue of the board's intention over the next 10 days, we really need to hear some positive news to lift the doom and gloom surrounding the club at the minute.

Decfromdublin

1.) 21 Aug 2024 12:42:11
Look at his last 20 presses. that will tell you what's coming today. Run the tapes back.

2.) 21 Aug 2024 12:43:00
Clarke, Dejan guy and a full back at leadt to come in before the close of the transfer period. That's according to my mates dog was lost the other day and found outside ER chatting to Parag.

3.) 21 Aug 2024 13:39:36
Hopefully done a she-ite against his leg to counteract all the she-ite we have faced these last 18 months ?.

20 Aug 2024 18:16:44
I posted on here on the 31st July when it was practically confirmed that Summerville was being sold, that the new owners better have a masterplan to replace our best players that have been sold, it is now 3x weeks since my post and not only have we not replaced our best players that were sold but we have sold another one of our best players in Rutter. Bogle and Rothwell are ok, but we need better. The likes of Bamford, Gelhart, Aronsson, Meslier and Pioe are dross and should of been shipped out. There definitely should be a protesr to let the owners know this is not acceptable, we are getting taken for mugs again and we shouldn't be accepting this.

Decfromdublin

1.) 20 Aug 2024 19:23:06
Well said fella.

2.) 20 Aug 2024 19:34:53
Think board hedged their bets by not. getting a 9 in pre Seez .

Matt gave them false hope that he' would hit ground running immediately, and no surprises it hasn't happened immediately.

Now. in a normal cub environment when there's worthy backup, and a board who haven't sold their main 3 players without any big name incomings, that wouldn't be as big an issue as it is here due to really poor recruitment speed and fan backlash from aforementioned firesale.

Marathe is now here long enough to understand what club means to fans, yet here we have board dragging their heels on the nonchalant approach to sorting this out for Friday

If Leeds lose Friday without anything raising fans hopes, fans will be seething with board.

3.) 20 Aug 2024 19:40:50
I have a ticket for the game against Hull on the 31st August, if we haven’t signed suitable replacements, I think it will be a very hostile environment towards Paraag and co ….

4.) 20 Aug 2024 19:41:36
The transfer window is still open.
If there haven’t been any signings by the 1st September then it’s fair to say a large section of the Leeds United fan base won’t be entirely happy.
I’m saving my opinions until the 1st September.

5.) 20 Aug 2024 19:58:36
I just listened to amperdu on BBC radio Leeds. He doesn't sound confident about the team, the game on Friday or, reading between the lines, farke.
He genuinely sounds happy for Rutter to have moved on and will miss him and his character.

The positive is he jokes about not knowing about people coming in. It sounds like they're waiting for the ink to dry about incomings.

Have a listen and see what you think.

I'm going to put my optimism on hold and say we will get a spanking on Friday.

6.) 20 Aug 2024 20:19:57
Same here OP - it's not ideal that we haven't signed more but I am willing to wait until the window is closed. The club are working hard in the background to bring players in so we just have to be patient.

7.) 20 Aug 2024 20:57:10
I have been biting lip hoping something positive is going to happen after these disaster couple of months but the board are not filling me any enthusiasm with their silence of late, I am normally an optimistic Leeds fan generally but I am getting seriously frustrated like the rest of you are, I really hope they can pull a few rabbits out of the hat and surprise us all, but it's not looking likely with 10 days to go!

8.) 20 Aug 2024 21:33:49
Ditto Alf and OP. Pointless blowing my gaskets just yet!

9.) 20 Aug 2024 21:53:52
MOTagain . just my opinion. but I think Leeds players have lost trust and confidence in Farke esp the Welsh lads

Ampadu and Rodon in particular. My main man Danny James too.

10.) 20 Aug 2024 22:17:51
10 days a long time in football. The EPL teams won't even decide who they are letting go until next week and that could spark a lot of activity.

11.) 20 Aug 2024 22:36:18
I appreciate it’s not easy to bring players in especially so close to the end of the window, and nothing was going to stop the players from leaving, when they did.

But I continue to despair at the lack of communication (no not them saying that they have x to spend or Y are our targets)

Maybe Marathe could have followed up on Farke’s comments of how many players he wanted stating the board remain as committed as ever will support the Manager in any way they can…. etc etc

And of course lots will say what’s the point’ well the point is read the mood of the supporters at Brom on Saturday who let the team know in no uncertain terms whenever they played backwards.

Momentum can be lost very quickly and if they release the third kit tomorrow, or anytime before any new signings, I would not be surprised if our magnificent supporters make their feelings known both home and away.

It may have been unavoidable but do better on communication as we lose our greatest asset.

12.) 20 Aug 2024 23:50:35
In Ampadu’s interview he sounds very confident that although it’s a slow start they all have a lot positivity that they will perform better and that nothing is decided in the first month of the season.
Sure he does state that they all enjoyed Rutter’s infectious character but on the same hand they are also looking forward to more incomings before the end of the transfer window.

The biggest wind up story is Brother WUM Baz on the Welsh players that have apparently fallen out with Farke!
Baz are you a click bait journo, sent to wind up Leeds fans on this forum? and where did you acquire this juicy bit of information ?
Complete and utter drivel post from your very own personal agenda driven self, there’s having an opinion and there’s also posting made up bollox stories.

13.) 21 Aug 2024 00:13:02
I do agree in part what you are saying Class, but in these scenarios where the manager as in Farke in this case, clearly is venting his spleen and wants some more players. This I find can go either two ways, one they sack him or two they say nothing.
The directors making comments to the fans can be potentially more problematic if their actions don’t go to plan as opposed to simply saying nothing.
It could be by saying nothing is the lesser evil as far as they are concerned. ?

14.) 21 Aug 2024 03:29:35
I must admit that I 'bought' into Marathe's ( failed) promises in his first ever interview as Chairman in summer 2023 . man was my trust in him misplaced.

15.) 21 Aug 2024 03:33:30
haha OP . tis as i say AIMO . would not expect you to concur .

16.) 21 Aug 2024 03:35:53
OP . it's " Baz Intuition". watch this space.

17.) 21 Aug 2024 07:24:54
Baz needs his own series of X Files. B Files tho; for BullCack.
Total nonsense, made up to suit his own agenda. The Welsh lads have it in for Farke, clearly! I’ve dribbled more sense under general anaesthetic.

31 Jul 2024 21:11:33
I was raging at how poor Summervile performed in the playoff final and would of sold him in a heartbeat straight after that, but now I'm pissed off with the new owners, selling off our best players and not replacing them, I really hope that have some masterplan up their sleeves or it is going to be an another frustrating season.

Decfromdublin

1.) 31 Jul 2024 21:46:06
Summerville is best of been sold. Gnonto to follow hopefully.

Our squad is looking stronger with every signing and the 49ers know talent. Look at Rodon, amperdu and Gruev. Cheap buys that have paid for themselves.

In the case of amperdu he was going nowhere. Now he's a known superstar in the champo.

Summerville did us proud but it's obvious the 49ers have a plan for a squad. Bogle and Rothwell look very promising as well.

Not only that, Summerville will be a medium fish in a big pond. Look at the lads that have left Leeds and it killed their careers. Grass ain't always greener but if he wants to go, it's best he's gone.

2.) 31 Jul 2024 21:56:38
Tbf mate, we replaced Gray with Bogle and we've literally just found out about the Cry deal and he's not even gone YET, so how can they replace him yet? Give em a second at least.

3.) 31 Jul 2024 22:12:39
CS went AWOL mostly last 11 matches not just playoff final

He ensured he got his move

Not a fan of his and not at all sad he has bolted

Am fuming at the fee though and the message it sends about Mr Marathe/ Leeds United caving into a very low offer.

The only positive of this is the timing. selling him early (ish) not last minute. com.

4.) 31 Jul 2024 23:16:52
Baz, look at it this way,
Archie goes for 40 mil
Prince goes for 25 mil.
That will dent his ego. Mr Maranthe has the last laugh.

By October, Summerville will be Whoville?

All the best to him in the future but I'm glad he's gone.

And if that's not enough, Leeds don't need the money, they need the space for the new blood players.

5.) 31 Jul 2024 23:18:10
Dill, guaranteed Leeds have replacements lined up already as they obviously knew Cree would be leaving.
Only problem is clubs will be overpricing their players after this sale.

6.) 01 Aug 2024 07:07:44
Great posts MoT and Corky ??.

7.) 01 Aug 2024 07:46:21
Talk some waffle you, Baz mate. CS awol and the rest of the team were where exactly? Should all the pressure be solely on him? Because he's performed well all season the expectations get a tad ridiculous for him to score or assist every game. Every single player lost form towards the end of the season. Singling the player out who contributed the most this past season is wild.

Feels like the Raphinha bs all over again. Fans love to get on the backs of players who've dragged us thru the season. We were lucky to have him last season otherwise we'd have been mid table. I guess you are seeking perfection, so you're always going to be disappointed. Unfortunately that is not football. Form differs for everyone.

8.) 01 Aug 2024 07:50:09
Ain’t replaced him yet? ???????.

9.) 01 Aug 2024 09:12:27
Dill . yes other less talented players went missing too . but he waa the star player that could have got Leeds United over line when it really mattered

There is a reason I love the likes of Pablo.
