Think we are running into a bit of other teams knowing we need a striker for the prem so asking over the odds for their players.

Agree Aus, unfortunately that’s market forces, the market was stagnated until the completion of the WCC and now that’s complete, the likes of Newcastle, Liverpool and Chelsea can offer more for one player as we’ve spent on our entire window to date.

Goalscorers are always come at a premium and where previously £35million might have secured a top striker Fulham will be expecting, and are probably justified in pricing Muniz at £50 million.

It’s stick or twist time for the board, but generally, you still get what you pay for at the sharp end.

Same with a top keeper who saves as many points as a top CF gains.

Three top signings required with £75million probably needed to purchase a top top keeper and CF.

I think our striker/ CF deal will be kept as low key as possible, maybe with severe NDAs floating around.

I wouldn't be shocked if they just turn up in Germany on the quite.

Sunderland on verge of signing Lauriente from Sassulo. Winger/ striker. 19 goals from 34 appearances.

On the four in so far we have spent £30m, I understand Longstaff and Stach will double that to £60m.

The transfer budget was rumoured at circa £120m+?

We would then need Keeper £10m, No 10 £15m Winger £15 and a Striker £30m+?

After that we would be in loan territory. Also need to shift dead wood which may recoup £20m/ £30m possibly?

All the names being mentioned look like the quality required and it appears we are doing our transfer dealing in the right way.

It also appears we are bringing in the cheaper positions to fill first so we are not making headlines with the first buy we made at £30m and then every club would think we would pay over the odds for any players. This might be a trap Sunderland will find themselves in.

If they scrimp on a 9 we are in trouble before we play our 1st game imo

Chances will be so hard to come by for us as is, and if we can't capitalize on the few we get, then I fear all the billy big balls talk of 9'ers will sound very very hollow

This isn't rocket science really, goals win games

And we ain't winning nothing with Paddy or his calibre player nowadays in Prem

Prem defences will fold him up.

Have you seen the all new Paddy physique Chris? Makes Adama Traore look like a weasel! Don't think anyone will be folding BamBam, tho he may yet fold himself!

Bright, take it from me
I have trained in gym religiously now over 30 years

You you can't put on that much size weight in 2-3 months, he was his usual self post season, so he won't have changed that much

Only juice gives those type of changes.
