Anybody else think we should play a back 5 in away games? 5-4-1 for me, use Sini up front for pace on the counter, BA and JH on the wings. It’s working for Palace. 99% of away games I’d be happy with a point.

Thinking the same myself. Against better teams and away.
Defense as it is simply not good enough.

It certainly can’t hurt to try after that shambles of a defensive effort yesterday.

Yep, defence is horrendous. Surely a back 5 of Firpo, Cooper, Koch, Ayling and Rasmus would be far more solid? With the energy of Jack, Roca, Adams and Aaronson in midfield and pace and composure of Sini breaking forward we could actually compete?

Didn’t see the game so maybe I don’t have a right to comment, but I think getting Cooper back in for Llorente will bring leadership organisation and somebody who won’t get bullied and that might make a big difference without needing to disrupt the system so much.

I don’t disagree with playing a back 5, but to be honest it wouldn’t have made a lot of difference yesterday. A dubious penalty, an unstoppable free kick (with the shortest guy on that side of the wall) , two horrendous individual mistakes when under no real pressure. Lorente needs to have a few weeks off (we have the international break fortunately) . Hopefully a performance against Forest and then some time on the training pitch.

Park the bus away from home low defensive line. pace of Sini JH and Summerville on the counter. Gelhardt, Bamford on bench.

I agree. work on the premise we start with a point. Quit playing out from the back; get rid old school and let those up top use their speed.
