Just watched . You could see at about 20 mins into the game, after nutter started loosing the ball that the heads went down and the careless mistakes started creaping in. Not necessarily because of Nutter, but it was like watching last years team. They have lost interest and that's because they either have been told we're in the playoffs and have lost sight of the goal . For the goal, how the heck was he left alone, where was the defence? Unless something drastic happens, Ipswitch, southampton are up, and it's a toss up about else who goes up, I know it's not Leicester and probably not us either

But MOT.

If they have ' lost interest ' as you say . that's a damning indictment.

2.) 13 Apr 2024 17:19:07
I said exact same watching game
We pushed hard first 20min
And then it just felt like we lost confidence because we didn’t get the early break through.

3.) 13 Apr 2024 17:33:23
Drastic Ipsbitch draw maybe?

4.) 13 Apr 2024 18:28:59
They haven't bottled it per se. They were exhausted and now they can't even play. Plus Farke has gone mad.

5.) 13 Apr 2024 18:37:56
Baz, as always you know best . The amount of careless giveaways, poorly played balls what else could one think. It's not the managers job to be able to put a corner on a head, or a cross on a head, or pass the ball to your team mate. SUre the manager can make mistakes, like playing Nutter when he's clearly not into the game because of fitness/ injury - but the players as a whole seem to have bottled it. Now that could be because they see the manager playing the same players weekin weekout, and have thrown in the towel, or it's because they think they can win in the playoffs . either way it sucks.

6.) 13 Apr 2024 18:53:39
Farke has done quite well but unfortunately not quite well enough

Not sure he is mad George, just not quite as good as some think.

7.) 13 Apr 2024 19:28:40
Baz Combination of not as good as people or himself claim and pressure got to him. I prefer Aus as manager.

8.) 13 Apr 2024 22:47:02
To me, to you.

9.) 15 Apr 2024 08:57:18
Lol Alf! Chuckle brothers sound intelligent and mature by comparison!

ILK - you had it right in the first part of your message. Stu is a top man and is Leeds through and through, and as he said the time comes for all players to hang them up, just not the way he wanted it to happen.

He should have been captain or co-captain a true leader by leaving everything on the pitch.

Stuarty ought to go for his coaching badges and then take charge of a Leeds academy in due time. He is a legend for ??? no doubt.

That was farken bad . nutter back to his old self, bamford just to slow, james was back to his old self- yes it was a pk but we can't rely on the ref to give us the game . changes needed to be done much earlier

MOT.

Farke fork up again on team selection, tactics, subs

Players half arsed . dreaming of their next moves when Leeds don't go up

Reminds me of last season.

2.) 09 Apr 2024 22:21:11
Poor poor poor, nothing more to say, even your mate Stan James was woeful.

3.) 09 Apr 2024 22:25:36
I agree Baz apart from the part about not going up. Still very much in it for autos. Top 3 form has been all over the shop. As frustrating as that was to watch we still have eyes on auto spot because we can still get one.

Last 5 games:

Leicester 5 points
Leeds 8 points
Ipswich 9 points.

4.) 09 Apr 2024 22:55:33
Dougie. most of play went down left
. how about team pass it more down right.

5.) 09 Apr 2024 23:35:05
This time of the season can be crushing for the players and the fans (and the manager) . None of the top teams are coping well with the situation.

For the first time (in my opinion) the players were playing within themselves, preferring to not to make THE mistake rather than take that risk.

To much dross around the back, but to be fair to the back three, Gray and James offered nothing on the right. When the ball eventually got to them after beating the initial Sunderland press, they just turned back and put back into our home third. Rutter shouldn’t be playing; he was well of it (again) . Up the left was “best’ option, but Sunderland knew that and flooded that side.

The ball over the top to Bamford might as well have gone to my granny and she hasn’t been around since the 70’s.

Farke must have had his reasons for the initial selection (even I was surprised) and for the late substitutions (baffled me completely this time) . I don’t want to be critical because it’s clear the pressure is on and no one is coping well

Another chance squandered …will we get another?

6.) 10 Apr 2024 02:28:12
In a word " maybe " . but it will be squandered again as DF is as. stubborn as a mule.

7.) 10 Apr 2024 07:09:54
Indeed Baz. I really did not get the fascination on focusing almost solely on the left? Did the team have no trust in Archie and DJ, or what? Now that baffled me!

Tractor boys just won't go away . But we made that tough going.

16 games to go . 12 behind Leicester, and we could end up 2,3 or 4th, don't think it will be any lower than 4th. Whilst hopes are up for 2nd and if not that, at least 2 games in the playoffs, my mind turns to next year. We all want to go up, but even if we don't make it, there's going to be BIG changes before August. This team will not survive in the prem.
MOT.

1.) 15 Feb 2024 18:53:07
If this team does NOT go up . what makes you think it will be better next season. lots of changes yes . but better changes.? I doubt it.

2.) 15 Feb 2024 18:56:43
And IF this team does go up to EPL at end of this season

then some upgrades definitely required to compete effectively in EPL

but not necessarily lots ( 'big ") changes to stay up.

3.) 15 Feb 2024 19:07:53
Well that’s looking on the bright side then CA?
I think our attack although youthful will create some surprises in the Prem. Yes of course if promoted we will strengthen especially in defense.
I do believe this team we have now is evolving and will get only improve all the time.
Don’t underestimate what we’ve already got.

4.) 15 Feb 2024 20:28:14
Aesthetically, Farke's football translated quite well to the EPL, but he was severely lacking the quality players to implememnt it to the degree needed. This team is growing and getting better in front of our eyes. Come next season I think we'll be pleasantly suprised with how well our current crop will get on in the EPL, should we go up (I think we will! ) .

If we invest in the right areas (mostly defensive areas and I'd like a clinical CF) then I can see us becoming similar to how Bournemouth have done last season and this one so far.

Not setting the world alight, but well enough to not be scrapping at the bottom.

Just need to bare in mind it will take some time to get to where we actually want the team to be at in terms of first team and squad depth.

5.) 15 Feb 2024 21:41:05
Always looking on the bright side - op
Some things in life are bad
They can really make you mad
Other things just make you swear and curse
When you're chewing on life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle
And this'll help things turn out for the best
MOT.

6.) 15 Feb 2024 22:08:03
Bloody hell CA. Let’s worry about getting promoted first before we contemplate our top flight survival chances!
I believe this team is stronger than last season’s first eleven. Strange but true imo.

7.) 16 Feb 2024 07:58:41
Agree Cork. On another note its in our own hands if we go up, if Leeds, Southampton and Ipswich win all their games, and providing Ipswich don't score a million goals we are up, simples. Let's not fret, just enjoy the ride, and yes we definitely have a better side than last year, and we also have a far better manager, we are in a good place.

no deductions this year as it's the EPL not the EFL.

I think sometimes with the way our sport is these days, it's not how long you're going to be at a club, but what's the payout when you get the sack .
