We all know what we all think of BA but in the last two games he has missed a sitter, scored and rattled the woodwork.

That's three serious threats and a goal in two games. He did some great turns tonight and the run across the pitch was a joy to watch.

For all the flak he has gotten, deserved and undeserved, his did cracking tonight.

If he keeps this improvement going, by the end of the season we may all have red faces!

How good is Rodon though? Maybe one of the best Leeds buys in decades.

BA arguably playing better in the Prem than in the champ. Great to see.

Rodon becoming a superb player. Fabulous find by recruitment.

25 Oct 2025 08:35:33
Agree mot. Ba falls over too easily but can’t fault his effort. And if he continues like last couple games more goals will come. Good on him for buckling down and working hard.
Can we play rods instead of the footballer ( funny calling him that ) known as dcl. Rods the defender has double his goal tally and Can run and tackle too.

25 Oct 2025 10:25:17
I have been a critic of BA, and justifiably so, but Credit where credit is due. That’s the best BA has played in a Leeds United shirt. It’s probably the first time in games where he turned on the ball and run at the opposition. Exactly what is needed. His turn and run from inside his own half and deflected shot that clipped the top of the bar was very unlucky. He just needs to settle down on the ball and get his head for his final ball, a bit like DJ did last season in the championship.

His effort cannot be faulted though. I hope GG injury not serious. JJ was solid when he moved into left back, and has a bit of a dig on him, which we need. Rodon fantastic, and he’s now believing he’s going to score from set pieces. Much more aggressive attacking the ball. Okafor is getting more confident each game and settling in nicely. Even ampadu went on a mazy run from inside his own half, but got a bit excited and spooned his shot wide unfortunately.

25 Oct 2025 10:39:20
I've been thinking about the whole BA conundrum.
He gets clattered a lot by big players, but does sometimes go down too easy. He was properly bashed on several occasions last night by 2 players at once; that means that 1 of those players is out of position = more space elsewhere.
Additionally, we saw last night what the kid can do given time and space. I'd guess that oppo gaffers know this, and that's why he is shut down / smashed so quickly.

You've got to know therefore that DF sees this as a positive for free kicks, and space creation.
Re Rodon - I've always been a bit "meh" with regard to him: too much gesticulating, posturing, blaming others, feigning pain. that said, I think he's really growing this season, was fantastic in every aspect last night, deserving of his MOTM, and has used that dremel I lent him effectively on his 50pence head!

25 Oct 2025 01:56:40
Dcl is quite possibly the worst footballer I have ever seen in my life and I mean that. I am gobsmacked he is starting. Absolute disgraceful waste of money. Namecheck did more with the ball in his 5 min cameo.
Good we won. Just. 3 vital points.
Very poor performance and tactics against rubbish opponents.

Far too wasteful with the ball.
Nearly ballsed it all up. I was never comfortable we would win.
Pluses. Rodon again and ba.
If we are going to sit back and invite pressure make sure we have speed to chase long balls. Ie James.
Can't grumble too much. A win is a win. Ish.

I can't agree, Aus. He isn't a prolific goal scorer, but he is great at winning the long balls with his bonce and is enough of a threat to always be marked or double marked.

He draws in defenders leaving Bogle, Aaronson, okafor and GG to assault the box.

It would be nice if he scored more but as daft as it sounds, his talent isn't with scoring, it's more being a complete menace to defenders, which gets us goals.

25 Oct 2025 06:30:18
You enjoyed the match then Aus 😄 Can't see quite how it was a poor performance and tactics, we were positive and controlled the game, went two up, maybe took the pedal off the gas a bit after. Second half was always going to be different without Okafor and Gudmundsson.

We got too negative but still looked pretty resilient and solid, Perri was rarely troubled, thought he had a great game too. There is much more to DCLs game than scoring Aus, his work rate is amazing and he creates space for others. Happy with the points and the performance.

25 Oct 2025 07:59:15
DCL brings a lot to the team - not all about goals.

25 Oct 2025 08:00:56
Nope. Not taking opinions on dcl. My mind is set.
Agree oks and gabby a big loss second half and playing without a striker always going to be a problem. Just think we sat back and asked for trouble.

Subs too late too.
But as I said. A win is a win. Regardless of how we played.
We gave the ball away numerous times and left gaps at the back too often. Any team above us would have got at least a point.

25 Oct 2025 10:42:45
Not taking opinions on DCL?
OK. here's a fact for you to take: you're wrong.
Job done. Carry on.

Very good point re Perri, Vid! Thought he looked solid, and commanding. No chance with their excellent goal. Darlow deserved his opportunities, and did fairly well, but Perri looks much more capable.

25 Oct 2025 11:06:33
If you can't see the value in DCL (yes we'd like him to add goals too of course) then I'd say you don't understand the game that much Aus!
The space he creates for others through intelligent running is excellent.

The way he wins and holds up the ball creates so many opportunities for the breaking players.
But it's all about opinions and you are very welcome to yours, if we all agreed this site would be boring.

25 Oct 2025 11:52:21
Fact. 1 goal in 9. Fact. Crap.
What planet you on bright.

25 Oct 2025 12:09:27
Chances created, Aus? Chances missed by others from Chances he's created, Aus?
Aerial duals won, effective take ons, free kicks won, completed passes, ground covered.?
All also facts / factual data points if you wanna widen your perspective before diving feet first into inaccurate assessments and conclusions.

24 Oct 2025 22:47:25
I know its a little bit old news now but I must say, having experienced it, I feel for all those Sheff Wed supporters. In the same breath I have to say, commiserations but also congratulations. It's not a nice place to be but with a little bit of luck it may well be the start of a new and exciting chapter in your story.

Your nemesis has gone. Stay positive. Support your team and through the dark days (and yes there will be dark, dark days) keep looking ahead.

Respect to Wendy fans, it's not farking right
Slab head + fidget spinner =180 mill

A fundamental club to our leagues on turmoil

Hope he will be ok Wendys.

25 Oct 2025 04:45:24
Shame. Hope it works out. Def down though.

25 Oct 2025 10:45:13
As per my earlier post, Leodis, I totally agree! Got some very good Wendy mates, and really feel for them, having been there. That criminal now needs sorting out for nearly destroying a historic club!

24 Oct 2025 22:18:54
Genuine question.
Does anyone think DCL offers anything different than Bam Bam?
Bam Bam used to hold the ball up really well and bring others in, as does DCL, but they don't score. So why replace!

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Oct 2025 22:43:23
I think we will have to wait until the end of the season to answer that question Dougie, there’s still a long way to go yet and DCL’s fortunes may change. We’ll see what happens, if anything?

25 Oct 2025 03:31:54
I think dcl is worst than bam and coming from me, that’s saying a lot. The bloke has 1 goal in 9 games. Why is he even starting. Piroe and Namecheck should be given a go. I wouldn’t even have dcl on the bench. He even fell over while jogging yesterday.

Nobody around him. Maybe he was drunk? Ba cops some flack but at least he does good things and works hard and occasionally makes errors. Dcl does nothing. Can’t run. Can’t tackle. Can’t control the ball. Can’t shoot. Ridiculous.

25 Oct 2025 04:10:11
I think we should have kept Bamford because we paid him anyway. Not as a replacement for DCL but as a partner.

Can you imagine the damage they would cause by running the defenders ragged, allowing the wingers the freedom to take shots.

25 Oct 2025 08:01:58
Running into each other more like and taking up physio time which we need for all our other signings.

25 Oct 2025 10:46:44
Really hope DF follows the advice of a couple of peeps in here, and let's Harry play off the shoulder of DCL! That would be exciting!

24 Oct 2025 22:12:49
BA. - his best PL game by far - well done to him. Very important 3points.

24 Oct 2025 23:38:03
He deserved the goal that hit the woodwork. I felt for him.

Great game by him though. Hopefully this is him on an upward trajectory.

24 Oct 2025 22:10:57
why of why do we just invite them to play - should have hammered them, but oh no we just sit back and let them play. is that a managerial thing or the team deciding we don't need to do anymore. A win is a win, but that could have gone the other way.

Agree2 Disagree0

24 Oct 2025 22:47:02
For me, that's on the players. Nerves? Tension? Desperation?
Tbf to Spam, Fernandes and Potts made a difference when they came on, and Farke responded quickly to tighten the MF with Gruev for AO.

24 Oct 2025 23:38:39
The players didn't tell one another to sit back Bright, come on.

25 Oct 2025 01:19:21
True, but their biggest threats came through Bowen, a terrific bicycle kick that Perri saved and the assist for the goal notable among them. If Wet Spam get relegated he'll surely be looking for a new club next season, he started off with Hull City, so maybe he'd fancy a return to Yorkshire.

25 Oct 2025 10:52:12
No they didn't Mo, but when you're a collective, playing in a team, you pick up the vibes, the movement, the body language, the positioning of those around you. You track with them, align with them, hold position/ formation with them.

It only takes one or two to drop, and the whole formation slips back too. It's what coaches teach from very early development stages.
If you're suggesting from your post that Farke instructed them to do that, then, well, I'm lost for words for once!

24 Oct 2025 20:11:13
Haters? Get innnnnn!

Agree2 Disagree1

24 Oct 2025 20:33:47
What about the sitter. he. just. missed 🤣.

24 Oct 2025 20:41:21
Nuno looking p#ssed off😊.

24 Oct 2025 21:00:04
Imagine being so sh! t that you allow 1-in-40 Aaronson to score.

Fair play to him though.

24 Oct 2025 21:06:19
He scored. 2 nil Chris.

24 Oct 2025 21:11:14
Nuno looking clueless JR! Pleased we didn't pay the £8m+ compo fee to get him before Farke!

24 Oct 2025 21:57:30
Obviously he's done an important thing

But he's been his usual self since and don't say different

He scored a Tammy Brighty let's not forget how. lomg. somve his last assist even?

24 Oct 2025 22:15:01
One may be forgiven in thinking you aren’t happy we’ve won Chris?

24 Oct 2025 22:17:28
Wouldn’t you believe it, Aaronson scores a vital goal, well I’ll be damned, good for him to prove so many including myself wrong.
Can he do it again?

24 Oct 2025 22:17:33
Hope you also watched him for the rest of the game Chris? You're really getting to the point where he's clearly your pet hate, and he will never do anything to get you to give him a break.
He wears the shirt for effs sake, and had a fairly good game today.

24 Oct 2025 23:33:12
Np Brighty, I ain't blinded

I am on side of, he's still she_ite, he scored a tap in tonight
mid gen don't worry my impression isn't blinded by nothing other than stats

It's so hypocritical, some on here lambasted Baz for these very same things

Claimimg silly little caveats were him trying to force his agenda

Brendan scores a tap in

Somehow that's vindication for his abysmal stats since he came back

Do me a favour

Delighted with won obviously

Let's see how vociferous ye are next 5 games

Does Brendan back it up?

24 Oct 2025 23:39:45
Yeah he had a great game. He deserves the flack when he plays rubbish but he did great today. In the right places and chasing down the ball.

Here's to hoping it continues.

25 Oct 2025 00:29:15
It was his best game but Chris is right, he missed a very good chance.
Replay showed me he bottled it and pullednout as he's a very soft player. If he'd not bottled it, there was a very good chance we'd have got a penalty if he didn't score.

25 Oct 2025 07:25:24
Think you are wrong about Baz, for him it was only about agendas, but to be fair to him, he’s not the only one on this forum.

A number of posters complaining about the performance, especially in the second half, newsflash, it’s very rare that a team can dominate a whole match.
No matter how crap some might think West Ham are at the moment they’ve still got a number of individual players who are of a higher quality than we have in our team, who can cause damage.
There are no easy given games in this league, there weren’t in the Championship either, it would be ignorant to think there are.

Some might not be happy about that game, for me i'm happy to be proved wrong by Aaronson, pleased with the selection and performance by the players, it was a good reaction to the Burnley game to win all those three massive points.

Anyone who wants to call me a happy clapper can go a do one.
Onwards and Upwards.

25 Oct 2025 10:58:03
I ain't even going to get dragged into a BS debate on that prick, Chris. He got what was deserved eventually, and it woulda been more had he ever been face to face.
As for BA.

I've said my bit. If you don't have the nouse or cajones to hold your hands up and give credit where due, that's for you to reflect on / ignore. Again, not for me to be bothered about.

25 Oct 2025 11:35:14
Brighty i. draw the Baz comparison based on how divisive he was, and when he made a point that so many said
Oh here you go again, .
You said this
You said that
You keep on reminding people of that

Then when it's to others point people on here do the exact same thing, to justify their point / counter point

For me it's simple Brendan is a woeful footballer and his stats whilst playing here prove it, he scored a tap in last night

Big deal, let's see what he follows it up with

I also said Lewin was going to be a flop which now people seem to accept as right

Imo others are blinded by non acceptance of stats

we shall agree to disagree

And maybe come back to this at end. of Seez

Much needed 3 points last night

Albeit hanging on in end, but a wins a win

End of.

25 Oct 2025 12:16:59
Really don't know why Baz has anything to do with anything in here anymore.
Listen, there are many things I agree with you on, and clearly some that I / we don't. I've said it before that BA is not my first choice to start, but when no alternative is fit and available, and he plays, it's pointless slating him.

He had a good game last night, which proves he ain't as shite as you reckon, not all the time, at least!
He is a useful and capable squad player imo.

24 Oct 2025 19:03:34
Well he made some changes, but how the Farke does BA get to play . as somebody said, the new Tyler.

Agree2 Disagree2

24 Oct 2025 21:13:26
No other fit enough option I guess?

24 Oct 2025 22:12:59
Cos he played well and scored. Give it a rest.

25 Oct 2025 10:58:20
Well said, Dougie.

24 Oct 2025 18:59:58
Must surely be last chance saloon for BA. Can he step up - I fear not.
