I have to admit I’m not a fan of toxic atmosphere. I think levels of decency should be maintained. Bit of banter but not hostile and abuse. The players are human beings earning a living. No need for hatred.
27 Oct 2025 07:42:09
Well he won't be coming to manage us then, jolly good. Touch of sour grapes and I guess he has to blame something other than himself for losing with very strange tactics and awful defending, 9 goals conceded from set pieces in 9 games, LB at RB and vice versa to name just one.
Strange no other manager or player has made such a statement even if they thought it!
27 Oct 2025 09:11:05
Certain fans being what some might say, obnoxious or over the line is nothing exclusive to Leeds United fans, it’s everywhere and isn’t likely to change anytime soon.
Nuno is clearly frustrated and needs to vent it, that's his choice, it won’t change the result though.
What most opposition players and managers comment on about Elland Rd fans, is the noise level and that can be intimidating to some.
27 Oct 2025 10:05:43
It's fake and not real.
Still funny though.
27 Oct 2025 20:47:25
Nuno definitely over exaggerating. Can’t lump us in with the likes of certain Turkish teams. We are a civilised nation and it’s definitely sour grapes from him to suggest his team were beaten partly due to the hostile environment.
26 Oct 2025 21:16:10
Great results today I think?
Glad Burnley won as to keep wolves right down there. Forest losing as well another bonus.
If it possibly comes down to us and Burnley staying up I totally fancy us.
27 Oct 2025 11:24:35
Dunno why that has 2 right handed thumbs, assuming that right handed thumbs are old school disagree reactions?
{Ed033's Note - Only 1 left hand thumbs up now.
27 Oct 2025 16:56:59
👍🏼👍🏼 this one, Ed?
{Ed033's Note - Isn't that 2 left handed thumbs?
26 Oct 2025 18:53:45
We've beaten the bottom two, woeful, sides and an at best mid table Everton. As not too good as that may seem if we carry on at the same ratio we would gain 46 points this season, more than enough to stay up.
Jesse Marsch had us on 13 pts I believe in mid table at this point of the season yet we capitulated and went down. Need to start beating some teams like Fulham Brentford etc.
26 Oct 2025 20:13:03
I believe we are now level with what we had under Bielsa in his first season in the prem Corkster and he went on to finish 9th. Can't really compare because the situations/ teams/ opposition are so different. This is now all that was then, but I am convinced we will have a good season and finish comfortably in the league.
26 Oct 2025 20:54:58
🤞🤞🤞.
26 Oct 2025 22:13:16
In the last 10 years, no newly promoted side with 11 points after 10 games has gone down. We have that now after 9. Obvs don't think too much can be read into that, but it's a stat that's been thrown around by a few pundits, and motd.
The biggest thing for me is that we have only really had 2 "poor" performances in those 9 games, and statistically it could be argued that we weren't that bad in one of those!
26 Oct 2025 23:22:21
IMO we have been unlucky and coulda had 5 more points than what we have. Our unwanted trend of conceding late goals needs correcting.
27 Oct 2025 02:13:52
The loss at Fulham was certainly down to a freak event, and with a little better game management we could've got 3 points instead of 1 against Bournemouth and maybe more against Spurs.
The big problem is our conversion rate which at only 5.4% (9 goals from 167 shots) is the third worst in the PL, we need to start putting a few more of them away.
27 Oct 2025 09:47:51
For me Bright I think we’ve only had one bad performance so far and that was because we were completely outplayed by the best team in the league so far. You could also argue that being only the second game of the season with a lot of new players in our squad we were quite raw in bedding in our new recruits and were possibly a little disjointed.
Burnley game, arguably as you point out, iI thought it was only a bad game in the sense we didn’t put away our many chances.
Only one defensive error and their wonder goal, I’d say we were very unfortunate to be the losers in that game.
I still don’t understand how we didn’t notch up victories in both of our games against Burnley last season, well dodgy ref being a part of it with two clear as day penalties!
They are are side that is wearing out it’s recent luck against us.
27 Oct 2025 10:07:51
Bright, more unbroken records have been broken by Leeds than any other team.
I think we were the first champo team to be in the top two at Christmas who didn't make promotion.
Sorry to ruin a sunny Monday. On the brightside, other teams around us will collapse as we stand tall and firm because Leeds have team spirit like no other.
27 Oct 2025 11:27:53
100% agreed OP, hence my "almost a" caveat.
Like I said Mo, I don't think too much should be read into it, given our penchant for destroying trends!
27 Oct 2025 12:09:01
Fine margins opti. Burnley beat us fair and square. Getting a 3 point banker for them.
Tap in wonder goal still a goal. Still needs to be canceled out.
Deserved to be beaten. Farkes tactics v gunners was reason we were trounced.
The rest have been 50-50 in my eyes and as I said a little bit unlucky not to get 5 more.
27 Oct 2025 12:57:21
Just depends on how any given fan views a game Aus. Guess you and I just see it oppositely.
27 Oct 2025 13:22:04
Yep opti. You see all our games as unlucky. I see we were well beaten in 2 by teams top and bottom ish and deserved more from the rest.
27 Oct 2025 18:16:24
Not just unlucky Aus and I think you know that, but I think we’ll leave that conversation there as it will go no where to debate it.
26 Oct 2025 11:19:43
Fair play to Sunderland rode their luck but definitely deserved their win against a strangely inept Chelsea. Looking at both teams and coaches, there’s really very little between us and Sunderland.
Agree with OP it’s going to be very interesting to assess both teams when we play them, but I still expect us to win. The only difference I can see is goals and more obviously likelihood of scoring, when comparing Wilson Isador and DCL for example.
I get that’s a no **** Sherlock statement, but I also believe de Bris has been braver at Sunderland and he has clearly said to his side let’s not stop trying to win a game as opposed to let’s try and nick a point, and to date, fortune has rewarded his bravery. I do believe DF has not been great tactically or in his use of substitutes to date, but I also accept injuries have probably hampered plans.
However poor substitutions (Fulham away, Spurs home) or playing players out of form Struick and yes BA, have cost us vital Points, I believe. Pleased for BA on Friday but think his only true attribute is his ability to run all day, be a nuisance and therefore, if he has to play him. Play him in the pocket behind DCL as the majority of DCL headers and knockdowns invariably fall to the opposition as we are set up in two rigid banks of four. (There’s a lack of bravery to commit runners into the box)
In summary, that was a massive win on Friday, but I fear we may struggle to collect many more points in the next five games unless DF doesn’t look to change and adapt based on the opposition. Season to date we’ve been offered a gift with so many fancied teams underperforming Forest, Villa, etc and we haven’t monopolised on that opportunity.
I believe through a lack of bravery and belief which has to come first and foremost from the coach. Extremely fine margins, of course but we need Daniel at his absolute best if we are to survive, we need wins as we are not capable of securing enough draws to stay up.
I fear us all commenting after the next few games, oh we were really unlucky in those games, and it was only by one goal again.
26 Oct 2025 13:20:09
De Bris is actually a far better coach than DF.
26 Oct 2025 13:28:03
Agree Alf.
And how can you mention out of form ba who scored playing out of position and note dcrapl 1 in 9 as doing his job but didn’t score playing in position class? Baffled.
26 Oct 2025 13:39:55
Think so Alf?
I’m not disputing your point, I suppose I naturally thought DF had the more successful CV.
And given our performances last season against them, but then we had a far superior team and budget, and the PSR irony of that came home to roost.
26 Oct 2025 16:46:30
Understand your points of view Class, but the Premiership takes no prisoners and although it looks very cavalier like performances from Sunderland I think over the entire season it will go against them at some point.
Farke’s more pragmatic style may come across as a bit limp but again, over the entire season, his more pragmatic style will more likely ensure survival in the end in my opinion.
As iv’e said before, for this particular season I don’t care how we do it just so we achieve our objective and stay in this league.
This season also looks a good one for the promoted teams as there are two or possibly three teams really performing badly, that may not continue through the whole season, but it certainly helps our cause.
26 Oct 2025 17:01:41
Good points OP and I accept the rationale behind them, just prefer a front footed approach from a coach, but of course I would be delighted if his pragmatism does pay off come the end of season.
26 Oct 2025 18:14:55
Le bris can be fearless because he has nothing to fear. He could lose the rest of the games in the prem and the Sunderland fans (the ones I know at least) would be happy that he got them in the prem against all odds.
Farke has his job, career and reputation to lose, combined with his natural, risk averse personality, creates the divide between the two managers.
It should be fairly obvious which tactic works the best.
27 Oct 2025 09:53:50
LeBris is a decent manager but it’s definitely debatable to say he is a better manager than Farke. Let’s reserve that argument till the end of the season and see where both clubs stand.

{Ed's Note - Shappy has posted a new article entitled, Manchester United Overview So Far This Season
26 Oct 2025 06:40:47
Don't think we will get anything from Brighton or city but should be looking at points from all the others coming up.
Notts, Chelsea, villa, Liverpool in current form.
Maybe between 8 and 12 points.
26 Oct 2025 08:55:44
4 points if we're lucky, but against the big boys I'm not going to blame Farke for losing. We just take it on the chin and move on.
We will get nothing from forest, Chelsea or Liverpool and will scrape a draw with villa if we're lucky.
It is what it is.
26 Oct 2025 09:39:55
Forest under Ange I would've fancied our chances for 4 points, but Dyche prefers "route 1" and set pieces so if we stay solid in defence we could still get something. Chelski or Liverpool a few days ago I'd have said no chance, but both have shown vulnerabilities lately so maybe a small (very) chance of a draw, Brighton probably the same.
Villa our best chance if 3 points. City zilch. My best guess another 4 to 6 points by mid December, 8 -10 by Christmas.
26 Oct 2025 11:21:40
4 points from 6 games not enough. Must be able to get more than that. Forrest 3 Brighton city 0. Chelsea 3. Villa 1. Pool 1.
26 Oct 2025 12:54:19
I only predict this; unpredictability.
This is going to be one of those seasons where we pick up points where we don't expect, and drop points where we believe we shouldn't.
That's my view at least.
26 Oct 2025 13:22:49
What points have we picked up that you didn’t expect to opti? So far.
26 Oct 2025 17:02:11
Based on your own points estimations to date Aus, how many points clear at the top would we be already?
Let's not get too carried away at only 9 games in.
25 Oct 2025 20:21:59
Well siblings, I think so far the big big thing for me is the team spirit and ethic, those guys love playing together, there is a unity that is priceless. All the time that is there we will achieve. UTWDTP.
25 Oct 2025 23:55:04
Agree it’s certainly a team to scrap and fight to the death.
26 Oct 2025 13:29:18
Comfy club are back.
26 Oct 2025 17:03:42
Baz is reincarnated in Aus, but Aus ain't realised yet.
25 Oct 2025 18:35:05
Is it safe to come back or is farke still out?
Good leeds win as yet again i'm out of the country if I emigrated we’d end up on champions leauge.
25 Oct 2025 19:12:35
Come live here for a month or two Berm and if we do well enough, we'll start a go fund me for ya.
25 Oct 2025 19:20:46
Lol, it's always safe to come back Bermo, this is the Leeds family! Depends what you say that is the catalyst for everything, per example the last 5 words of your first sentence, could be construed as inflammatory per chance.
25 Oct 2025 21:39:23
The further Bermo is from Elland Rd the better we do.
25 Oct 2025 23:57:10
Very true alf as you know mate
I might start learning French and take Canada up on his offer
J’em un ket un par (said in thick cockney accent)
25 Oct 2025 18:11:10
Perri was assured last night I thought, had to have been a bit apprehensive for him to slot back on and reclaim his status
Jaka, a bit ropey playing out from back so hopefully he works on that
Delighted with 3 points, and good to see the lads battling with intent.
25 Oct 2025 18:29:34
Absolutely Chris, I thought he as you say was very assured, commanded his area, anticipated play, good distribution but quite a few hoofs! An excellent reintroduction. Spirit of the team was top notch, fought for everything, good understanding all round and you can see relationships building between players, Gabby and Okafor for example.
JJ looked good slotting in, Bijol bit rusty but again a good introduction. DCL ran his socks off and is a real menace for defenders, plus always heavily marked! All in all very positive mate 😁.
25 Oct 2025 19:13:21
Was pleased with JJ especially as Bowen was playing well at that stage.
26 Oct 2025 08:43:42
Farke has been very impressed with Bijol and I think he’ll get another start against Brighton. If he can build on yesterday’s performance I think he’ll force Pascal out.
