If announcement is 4th will be very disappointed.
It's not about their egos. It's about Leeds. An English club.
We don't give two monkeys about 4th July.
Time is of the essence here.

I’m with you on this one Aus - wouldn’t surprise me if it’s on 4th, fairly typical of your average yanks over inflated ego.

It’s got nothing to do with the SF49er’s deciding on the date of the takeover. It’s the EFL, and until they have done all their checks and clear them, our club simply has to wait.

Farke has agreed terms with the club but will have to now wait.

Reports saying they going ahead with appointment and announcement before epl ratify opti, which if true will point to ego.

Don't give a fig for their egos, let's just get farke announced and start building a team for the start of the season!
Proof of their intent will be how they back the manager.

Aus - 49ers can’t announce their ownership before EFL ratification, and I’ve not seen any reports of them intending to do so. They can, however, announce Farke as new manager (with Radz’s agreement to the appointment) - and that is what they intend to do today. That has nothing at all to do with ego - but with the basic practically of having Farke in place to greet the players as they return to Thorp Arch and to take charge of preseason training which commences tomorrow.

If the EFL does somehow complete ratification today, then perhaps that too will be announced.

Even if the 49ers had somehow manipulated timing of ratification for today, to coincide with ??Independence Day, it would likely have far less to do with their egos than with marketing in that country - to help bring more money into our Club’s coffers - which I personally would have absolutely no objections to.

Efl is a nonsense excuse.
If Radz agrees we sign him at any point we want before the efl agrees.

According to Phil Hay, Farke has been involved in the transfer discussions already, so it’s not like any delays in his formal appointment has significantly affected recruitment etc. He’s apparently already had a tour of TA, presumably to meet the staff and see the facilities, and will doubtless have been working on his ideas for preseason training etc in his own time, in between sorting personal arrangements, and those of his three coaches, for moving to Leeds.

Clue. If they can announce him as manager on the 4th. They could have prob done it two weeks ago. Pretty sure they knew then.
Maybe they naively thought efl would be quick which points to a lack of understanding of Leeds past.
Ego or naive in my opinion.
Let’s get the ball rolling. Get rid of dross and splash the cash.
With radz approval if need be. Stop effing around.

Aus - think they only came to the final decision on Farke the Friday before last but understandably, wanting to have a clean break from what had happened during the latter part of Radz’s watch, hoped to have takeover ratified before announcing Farke, ushering in a new dawn for our Club.

As per above, it’s not stopped Farke starting to get to grips with things last week.

Not sure why anyone would want to be looking to find fault in the motives and/ or aptitude of 49ers Enterprises before they’ve even got their feet under the desk. Yes, there have been significant causes for concern for fans of many of the clubs controlled by US based individuals/ entities, but that doesn’t mean that all US based owners are inept and/ or totally self-seeking - and don’t forget that the second largest investor to date is an Aussie Leeds fan whose family have a very long association with football ownership and governance.

Pretty happy about Farke being the new coach, he does tick most of the boxes and am pretty confident he’ll get us promoted next season. I don’t say that likely because it most definitely won’t be a breeze and will depend on recruitment and who he keeps.
His test will be, can he keep us up once back in the Premiership?

What I cannot get my head around is the club are making plenty of announcements regarding shirt sponsors training kit sponsors etc.
But we cannot announce our Manager?

I admire your trust clue. Built on logic? Time will tell.
Not sure anybody can deny the communication has been poor.
Did I miss a club post about farke being agreed on Friday?
Not slagging them off mate. Just dosent all add up.
And I think it could have been handled better. Did they need all those people on the board to pass the test?
Anyway. Onwards and upwards.

No Aus, you didn’t miss a Club post on the matter, presumably because the 49ers had undertaken the interviews etc, despite it being Radz in control. They will have hoped EFL would have moved faster so waited as long as possible to try to avoid having to go to Radz for sign-off. In the absence of an official Club communiqué, they will have done what seemed to them to be the next best thing - briefing itk journos like Phil Hay, who since that time have been intimating that it was a done deal, without stating it was.

Unfortunately in these kinds of circumstances, Supporters sometimes have to know whose articles to read and believe - most people know that, at least on matters of objective facts Hay, Adam Pope and Graham Smith are usually accurate - most national media and clickbait merchants should be regarded as at best questionable. And of Hay is suggesting something is a done deal, and some clickbait merchant in France suggests a well planned recruitment has effectively been ripped up in favour of some potential left-field whimsical appointment, I know who I’d believe, even if a whole host of folk with nothing better to do choose to regurgitate what Monsieur Clickbait said over the next few days. Sometimes I can’t help thinking the guys at Leeds Live and others such as MOT Leeds etc would do us all a favour if they were more considered in what they choose to pick up on within the clickbaitosphere.
