So a personal hero of mine, Leeds spin doctor Angus (mongoose eating) Kinear.

Issues the following statement on recruitment with the summary….

“As a board, we have always tried to be transparent with supporters in the belief it is better if our recruitment strategy is disagreed with by some fans, rather than misunderstood by many. ”

Oh thanks Angus, bless your heart cannot beat being patronised on a Monday 👍

“Our strategy clearly impacts our evaluation of transfer targets, where our analysis indicates that many January options, requiring an eight-figure investment, would not be a material improvement on the current performances of emerging players such as Bate, Hjelde and Joe Gelhardt. ”

“Moreover, signing other options would block such youngsters’ development and would offer nowhere near the long-term potential. ”

Kinnear also made it clear moving for players in January would have a knock-on effect with the business they may look to do in the summer window.

“Simultaneously, any January activity has an opportunity cost on more optimal moves in the summer window, ”

Much easier to say not a proverbial pot to pee in!

I have no idea what is going on between Radz and 49ers but recent survey has Radz net worth of £500 million, next Tony Bloom Brighton £1.8 Billion, Villa and West Ham over £9 Billion each yes I get FFP comes into it, but you need funds when you need them.

I can accept if we ain’t got the money we ain’t got it but just say so.

Not a fan of this smirking PR guru think he’s contrary to all that is currently good at Leeds.

Just stop pissing down our fantastically loyal supporters backs, whilst telling them it’s just raining that’s all.

Cant stand AK as disingenuous as it gets.

Kinnear is a condescending arrogant unlikeable person . As you say Class stop trying to instill a false narrative into the fans minds .

Company mantras always spew out the poor mouth whilst company directors never go without .

On the 1 hand he singling out a few lads but in the same token why not then say we are balancing that against some players who would struggle to hit the back of an EMPTY NET,

If Leeds don't sign anything worthwhile this window and we're relegated the board should be sacked for gross negligence.

Sorry lads as much as I love him/ loathe him, I can see where he is coming from and the logic behind it.
Why panic buy now and deplete finances that would be much better spent in the summer.
This presupposes that a target (s) has been identified and will be snapped up early doors.
We all laud the skill and effort of our U23s so why bring someone in and push a young gun even further down the ladder, only for him to get disillussioned and seek an exit.
We all know Bielsa's strict insistence on "being up to Bielsa speed" so we won't see, whoever, until Late Feb/ Mar anyway.
No I am now of the opinion that we/ 49rs should spend big in the summer.
With all our first team sick list back and firing (I am thinking only Paddy and KP) our run in should see us easily safe. Ready to plan and go again next year.
As for the disengenious AK Tell me one company that doesn't follow company speak when necessary. He has to put a spin on most matters and quite rightly so to placate far more than just us supporters. It's for us to pick the truth out of the words and add our pinch of salt. The only man I know who stood up and told a semi truth was Gerald Ratner and look what that did so, we know what we know let's just keep Marching on Together.

Hear hear Chris I remember getting criticism from some on here last year when I referred to AR and co as negligent re summer transfer in safeguarding LUFC EPL status . nothing has changed on my stance.

Leo . ' why panic buy '? the club have had months to identify a goalscorer and midfielder.

Other clubs have strengthened their team and squad this window

Waiting till the summer to recruit is all very well as long as the club is still in the EPL : an unnecessary risky strategy.

Read your counter point Leo, good view points, but balance that with this view

Let's suppose the plan really is, no players in this window

Big overhaul in summer,

In theory better late than never

But attach the possibility of relegation this season and what do you think will happen in the summer then?

Oh due to relegation we can't spend big due to being in the championship, hence wages + attracting players down to championship will then be the line pedalled by the board .

I feel we will avoid it, BUT it's not impossible that it could happen, so where would that scenario leave us?

Yes Chris I get you and it is a very valid point. If my scenario is correct then a big gamble/ decision has been made at the top that we have enough on the ooks to see us throgh. 17th is a win. There are no guarantees in this life and I feel Radz has decided that the benefits outweigh the risk. Maybe right, maybe wrong but he is the only one who can make it. Besides a pundit recently said that change now only guarantees one thing, that's change. let's just see if buying saves Newcastle? Not just us helping them.

Nothing wrong with being the underdog punching above your weight finishing 9th with pretty much a whole team of championship players. Brilliant!

As I said in my previous posts I can accept in the have and the have nots, and that we don’t have any money for whatever reason.

My trust in Bielsa remains the same (that’s my own stubbornness if you like) but AK is not convincing anyone with this rhetoric.

If it was really true, the strategic intent, blueprint for the club, then why did we buy James and Raphinia thus blocking any chance for Summerville (who joined before both) and has since been blocked?

The reality is there is no more money, the reason doesn’t actually matter. With regards to the Ratner analogy he was dealing with shareholders (public, customers) in this instance, there is no public ownership other than the known board of directors.

The whole sorry charade undoes a lot of the good relationships built up over the last four seasons.

We support the team whatever the league or situation it’s reasonable to expect the truth in return.
