Looks like Adringa from Brighton is now going to Sunderland, €21m + €3 in add-ons.
Why are we seemingly so slow getting any deals done?

Tight budget most likely.
Ground expansion.
Business men. Don’t like being said no to and sulk.
Not desperate.
So many reasons.
One thing 100% sure. They live or die in prem 100% on their decisions.

Brighton almost invariably get teams to overpay them.
Good chance that's the case here too and we won't do that if we were even interested.

Overpay?
The tea lady now in any prem club costs minimum, madness I know but that's now where it's at
So 20mill is now unbelievably low for premiership player.

Lots of type errors in my current moment
Tea lady costs minimum £5 million
Last line should read
20 million is now low for a prem player
Unbelievable I know,
Should make a bit more sense now ?.

Recruitment over the last two years has been solid, no disasters and some gems! So far so good for me. Solid buys with a clear plan and the defensive side of the team largely in place minus a key keeper and still some money to splash on the exciting areas. Byram a good addition! And Bamford looks like he is doing everything he can to make an impact. Lost Webber and Firpo so far largely as expected. I think we’re building a sensible premiership squad with perhaps a few gems missing but some cash to buy them with!

I know Blunderland got plenty in for Bellingham, but if this goes through, what is their net spend?

They spend 60-70% of what they got for Bellingham on a player they already had in their squad, Le Fee.
Time will tell how their recruitment has been but they seem to pay whatever they are quoted currently.

About £110 million so far spent Feath. They will spend about £200m in all likelihood.
Will lose half the team for AFCON though.

Such spend now, will impact their ability to strengthen in the coming windows, and it's a big gamble doing so. They're going to be pushing the line on PSR for quite a few seasons on the back of it. We will not.
On that, the club have done magnificently to manoeuvre us past those pitfalls, with all the poorly structured deals on Orta's Mercs. They need some credit for managing our finances!
