I hear everyone moaning but I feel its been a decent window. I can't help but feel everyone is getting annoyed because nothing was done on hype of Deadline day. if we had doen nothing all jan But we had signed Carayol/ Bridcutt and Toums on deadline day everyone would be buzzing. What we need improving and changing you can't do in one window.
The only thing I do agree is we sold bryam for 3-4 mill and saw none of it. But i'm happy all together. MOT.

I agree that, Toums, Bridcutt and Carayol would have been considered good signings on deadline day if we had signed them yesterday . However IMO we would have been in a relegation place if Bridcutt had not com in when he did , so I doubt nine of the 3 would have signed for us in that position . Just a thought, maybe we are all missing the point . Leeds in the championship, with a very low wage budget, not much transfers in. just loans etc is a profitable business! With our great support and not much outlay maybe it makes the profit a business man wants . Understandably getting to the premiere league would bring untold riches, But it would also cost in wages, transfers of better players cost more . but if you're a business man without much, money would a yearly income of say £1/ 2/ 3 or even 5 million only guessing, be a good amount of money to make.? Just a thought! All they have to do, is keep the fans believing, whilst taking it in, because I for one have no doubt that Mr Cellino ain't in this for his love of Leeds United .

2.) 02 Feb 2016 10:48:45
Possibly they've looked at the position we're in and thought there was very little realistic chances of reaching the play-offs. We'd need to average 2 points per game to achieve that and whilst it's doable, it's also highly unlikely. Therefore the powers that be might consider there will be better value in the summer transfer window.
I know it's another season gone by but if we finish top 10, we might be a better proposition to attract incoming players. I can't see the point of going for broke, buying or loaning just anybody to appease the fans and then failing because the ask is too much.

MM.

3.) 02 Feb 2016 11:02:41
Agree Mick, your better off playing coyle phillips erwin and see what they really made off than getting old ex prem players on high wages so it improves there chances of a international call up for a rubbish nation!

like I said i'm happy with the window think evans is building a sqaud. next season if he is allowed to stay will be a totally different team I reckon.

4.) 02 Feb 2016 11:28:14
Furthermore, it looks like the only move open to Lafferty will be in the emergency loan market. Norwich wanted him to go on a permanent but now that's not an option, looks like a deal could be back on the cards. Not an ideal choice but at least we won't be lumbered with him after the season ends and can hopefully add a bit more quality in the summer transfer window.

MM.

5.) 02 Feb 2016 11:50:23
Plus if he buys back Elland Road and Thorpe Arch, he'll have no more excuses as to how the club is losing money!

6.) 02 Feb 2016 11:54:47
Spot on Mick. The playoffs for me were gone when we got beat by the Wendies. A run of not cracking results left us destined for mid table mediocrity. We ain't got 13M for Rhodes and the top 6 at the moment have to gamble in the transfer market with the lure of the Prem and all its riches next season. Just because we didn't sign some has been on deadline day doesn't make Celinio el Diablo! We have a manager on a temporary contract, so until that is decided why give him sh!t loads of cash? My only worry is we have been here before. If the cash is not spent in the summer, then all the Celinio haters will be justified.

7.) 02 Feb 2016 12:14:00
i agree with you Mm. on a different note the Gaelic football season has started here in Ireland, you'r team Mayo have started badly! They have a new manager with a funny accent! I think his name is Hughie Rossler? . Mot.

8.) 02 Feb 2016 12:25:00
If following Leeds breaks your heart, try following Mayo! Always the bridesmaids, never the bride. Still I like a trip to Dublin to see us lose!

I hate to see all the fans already jumping on backs of potential signing. just because he is in league one everyone just thinks he is rubbish. couldn't be more wrong, from what I've seen he is a class player. look at the players over the last few years who have come from lower leagues and made it to the top.
Also I went on the west ham fan page to see what the thoughts were of bryam, and all there fans were over the moon and delighted to have him at there club. He is a player who is not proven in the premier league but they know his potential is there so they will support him. where as we see a lower league player as a failure! think its a disgrace really. nobody knows them or even watched them, only way to judge is after 5-10 games. i'm 100% behind evans and think he is building a solid squad which doesn't happen in one transfer window!

1.) 22 Jan 2016 12:36:16
Agree Phillg 111, well said mate.

2.) 22 Jan 2016 13:18:47
I agree Phill. Let's be honest nobody was over enamored with the signing of Birdcage and look how he's turned out.

I put my trust in big bones Stevie but I won't be getting the new lad's name Diagouraga on the back of my shell suit, I'm too tight. I'll stick to MM

MM.

3.) 22 Jan 2016 13:26:10
Agree Phil. Give the lad a chance. Getting good reports by some people in the know.

4.) 22 Jan 2016 14:06:41
I kind of get this signing. Bridcutt needs support in that midfield therefore with two providing cover to the back four means that the other midfield players i. e. Cook, Dallas, Carayol can play 10 yards further up the pitch and support the lone striker more. Think this signing probably spells the end for Adayimi.

5.) 22 Jan 2016 16:16:00
I agree with you Phillg about not getting on players back's before they have played. I always give players chances. But do we really need another midfielder? IMO we don't and I would rather sign proven championship players but I was'nt exactly excited when we brought in Bridcutt and Carayol either so hopefully they can prove me wrong as well.

6.) 22 Jan 2016 16:18:16
Also Notts it hopefully doesn't spell the end for Adyemi because I think he is decent player for us especially from set pieces, IMO.

7.) 22 Jan 2016 17:24:16
Stan, think Adyemi will stay until the end of the season but I can't see Cellino shelling at £1m for a player whose form has been indifferent. I think he has the attributes to be a very good player but needs to be a bit more aggressive. He is still young with time to develop.

11 Jan 2016 13:46:21
Whats everyones views on if we get Seb Larsson?

phillg111

1.) 11 Jan 2016 14:07:55
Sign him if we can. Should be better player than Murphy, Mowatt, Bianchi and Sloth. Sloth will likely be on his way and possibly Bianchi too so a good midfielder who can create and also take set pieces would be a plus.

2.) 11 Jan 2016 15:31:19
Good signing Championship level. Can pick a pass, shoot and cross. Tend to remember him as a right side midfielder but could definitely add some quality if played more central.

3.) 11 Jan 2016 16:39:21
I would keep Bianchi, he is so good at doing that simple thing of passing the ball to a team mate .

4.) 11 Jan 2016 17:00:37
sign him!

08 Jan 2016 13:45:01
i hate how everyone is judging this guy before he evens plays 5 mins of football at the club. Sometimes players don't like the club they are at or don't get on which the manager or ain't the managers favourite. So they get left behind to rot, could be the new bit of life this guys needs. He clearly has the ability and knows the league, get behind him and give him support to do what he does best. and like someone else has said look at bridcutt, by far our best and most consistant player to short time he has been here.
Delighted for another signing, which is better than the likes of doukara.

MOT.

1.) 08 Jan 2016 14:09:47
phillg111 I don't disagree with your sentiment however Evans has made a rod for his back claiming that the players he will be bringing in are 'Bridcutt' quality. No disrespect to Carayol, as we should reserve judgement until after he has played games for us, but a player who struggled to get into a poor Huddersfield team cannot be put into this bracket. I also assume that this is the temporary replacement for Byram. Would fans not feel short changed if this is the case?

2.) 08 Jan 2016 14:24:27
We will see notts.

3.) 08 Jan 2016 14:25:08
From what I understand the chap only became available 24 or so hours go. I think SE thought it a gamble worth punting.

with the other signings I do expect (or hope) him to stay to his word and be "bridcutt standard" I just think this was something he thought was worth it.

4.) 08 Jan 2016 14:55:00
Bridcutt couldn't get into the Sunderland team last season so what does that make him?

5.) 08 Jan 2016 15:50:20
mattylufc72, Sunderland are a poor performing team in the Premier League, Huddersfield are a poor performing team in the Championship. There is a difference, but as phillg111 said we should be giving him a chance.

6.) 08 Jan 2016 15:58:58
Maybe he did not want to be at Huddersfield. Maybe he wanted a bigger club like us. Footballers go through dark times as well he may have give up a bit but this could be the motivation he needs, hope so as video show he knows where net is.

7.) 08 Jan 2016 17:56:36
Notts last season hudders would of probs beat sunderland they was playing league one football haha.

8.) 08 Jan 2016 17:58:08
N I don't think there's much difference between the championship n the bottom teams in prem. People could say about vardy well if he was that good why wouldn't any other team want him n then Leicester got a bargain.

9.) 08 Jan 2016 23:02:36
Huddersfield were in the Championship last season.

10.) 09 Jan 2016 15:52:51
Ye I know it meant to say Sunderland was playing league one football. Even there fans was leaving at half time all time.

First of all, thought we were class once doukara came on last night. really impressed with Evans, have liked him since he came in but he showed what all our previous managers were scared to do and that is change things up as soon as he notices it ain't working. Secondly I find it so frustrating how everyone thinks wood is rubbish, I mean don't get me wrong some of the sitters he misses are bad and should be scoring, but he does a hell of a lot what people don't notice. and I think if we started antenucci we wouldn't create half as much as we do. he also has 7 goals this season and highest in championship is 11, hardly a million miles away. But overall i'm so happy with where we are going, 3 points on sunday should get us in top half if results go our way. MOT.

phillg111

1.) 18 Dec 2015 09:48:48
I agree re Wood. Yes, he misses a fair few but he keeps getting himself in those positions. Last night, sitters aside, the goalkeeper made some good stops although he does have the back of hitting the ball straight at the keeper. One of these games it'll all come together and he'll get a shed load. He could still be top scorer in the league easily.

MM.

2.) 18 Dec 2015 10:10:18
Agree wood creates chances for others. Worry is he is not putting his own chances away? Strikers score goals if his finishing was better he would be top of scoring chart. don't think wood will be happy with his game at mmoment so don't see why we should be. Not saying he is carp, but needs to sstart finding the net.

3.) 18 Dec 2015 11:17:57
I also agree re Wood phil, posted a tongue in cheek post about the number of sitters he missed last night, but he played well and did some good stuff.
And how he got out of the way when Byram scored was genius.

4.) 18 Dec 2015 11:23:55
Whilst I agree partly with the posts above, he (wood) has on more than one occasion been utterly useless and idle. Let's hope Steve keeps riding his back and hope he does mange to convert more. Happy with result let's hope we can carry it foreword to Saturday MOT.

5.) 18 Dec 2015 13:01:12
Or Sunday even😳.

6.) 18 Dec 2015 17:57:50
PP
Don't think he will be fit to play if Steve has been on his back.

7.) 18 Dec 2015 23:35:51
If we play Ant we have to change the system and lose the midfield battle. Wood is the only player who can play the lone striker. It's not his natural game and if we have plenty if the ball, which we did yesterday, then we work hum harder than he has probably worked before.

The worst thing would be not creating chances, the fact that we are missing them is frustrating, but 1 or 2 will go in if we carry creating 1 or 2 will go in and his confidence will pick up.

Seb Larsson is class for Champ, if we got him i'd be very happy. His final ball could turn woods season around. Would be very happy.

its all good and well coming up with names, but I know if I was manager i'd rather manage burton than leeds united. might not be a case of pick who we want, could be pick whoever wants us.

If you think wood and dallas ain't good enough then I think your expecting way to much. Dallas been brilliant for us this year and he can't do it every game to cover the rest of the team. and wood does miss some sitters but before he got injured he had 8 goals in the league and top scorer was 12.

yeah I suppose your right 30 mins is a good way to judge a player against his old club, 1 day after signing, not trained properly with his new team mates. My bad!
