matt smith rejects a new contract from oldham would he be good for us in the championship
1.) Obsession with this guy since the cup run. Would we of heard about him without this? Doubt it, now move on please.
2.) I think he would be a great addition give us plenty of attacking threats at set pieces. Usual suspects will say he only played at 3 tier level better than Carroll

1.) Isn't Darren Bent Villa's highest earner? I'm sure he's on +80K.
Bent's past and reputation alone will see him get another premiership club with ease.

I do think though that his wages will be out of our league and has had a poor fitness record over last few seasons

3.) Wells would be a good signing but even if Bradford do go up I think somebody will dangle a carrot in front of there faces to test the water but nobody is going to offer no more than 500k for what is still a league 2 player

1.) I know. He had a decent season and pulled off some great saves. Then again stays on his line too much. Not sure could we a better keeper on our budget though?
2.) Whilst he is an excellent shot-stopper, he is absolutely useless coming for crosses/corners and if you look at the stats, I think we were the worst or 2nd worst team at defending set pieces in the league last year. Think about all the points we lost in the dying minutes to headers. Leicester & Wolves to name four points that went begging.

1.) Was your tongue firmly embedded in your cheek when you wrote that Ryan or did it take you a couple of hours to write it due to falling around on the floor laughing. Bradley Johnson must be close to the worst midfield player I can remember seeing in a Leeds shirt. Norwich don't want him? Leeds United certainly don't.

He (johnson) signed a new 3 year contract about 3 months ago, so I doubt that's a runner!
