. Thanks for the update. I agree. No more Beckford talk. MOT!

2.) 10 May 2013
Never wanted him back too greedy no loyalty

3.) 10 May 2013
Must admit I can't think whe he hasn't played more games for Leicester this season, but he is obviously still scoring a few goals.

I don't particularly want him back, but good luck to him - he'll need it if he joins Bolton.

How is he signing when transfer window not open? he might be negotiating, but can't sign.
About him not being loyal, he saw out his contract to see us over the line, when he could have gone in Jan.
You saw how much we meant to him when he came back, Leeds salutes to the Kop ect and he was in Headingley after the game drinking with us and said he would love to come back.
If Brian wants him because he thinks he's good enough then I would love him back, but not if its just as a crowd pleaser.
Maybe its just time to move on and bring in younger players and let Brian build a team in his own style. I and lots of my fellow Leeds mates trust his judgement. MOT

Yes you can sign out of the transfer window. All deals, contracts etc can be completed and submitted to the football league at any time. The window just means that the player does not move teams until the defined window opens.

6.) 10 May 2013
He will be back at leeds trust me

7.) 10 May 2013
Firstly, he hasn't actually signed yet, how many players have been reported in papers that we were close to signing that never materialised?

Secondly, if people want to believe he will come back, let them, after all football is all about opinions, if that's who they feel is needed then that is their opinion.

Thirdly, I'm undecided as to whether it would be a good idea him coming back or not. If he comes back and it backfires then them good times he had with us will be a distant memory, however if he comes back and delivers he would be what we have been missing from a forward from the season just gone. goals.

This guy has history, why does this surprise and disapoint you? He has only ever produced in league one anyway. Over rated and probably over paid in my opinion. let's get players who want to wear our shirt!

9.) 10 May 2013
How can anyone not want him back? I fail to see it. He left us, yes. Probably for more money, maybe even because of the lure of playing in the perm, and also as he wasn't getting any younger but just because he left all you bitter fans keep saying, 'nope', 'we don't want old players back'. But he finished joint top scorer with Everton that season and in my mind, he is a proven goalscorer.

He can score from anywhere, good in the air, fast and has a great first touch. Plus, judging by his actions when he has returned to the mighty Elland road, still has us in his heart.

I would much prefer to see leading our front line with Morrison or McCormack than to see Varney up there. The guy is our worst player!

10.) 10 May 2013
I completely agree with Thailand whites post, he did a great job for us, could of left in Jan & stayed & was tempted away with a big contract & premier league football. I would also love to see him back in a Leeds shirt. since he left us has anyone scored more goals than he did for us? no. to many haters. mot

11.) 10 May 2013
He scored a lot in league 1.
He also destroyed our chances of getting promoted in the same season by not scoring for, what-was-it, 11 games when Grayson refused to drop him and he was pointless dead weight up front?
He's BAD NEWS. Huddersfield were doing well until they signed Beckford.
Leicester have done very well since they got rid.
Sign Beckford, lose your dressing room.
Shouldn't be anywhere above League One, in my opinion.

12.) 10 May 2013
The knee-jerk negative reaction to past players is becoming a bit tedious. What's important is whether the player in question would improve us at the current time. In Alan Smith's case, it was always going to be a no, for that reason alone. In Beckford's case, recent form suggests that he's still got it. Beckford or Varney / Morison? It's a no-brainer -if we can afford him, and he wants to come here, then I personally would take him. The so-called loyalty issue is a bit of a red herring -no one can seriously have any issue with any player having left a middling Championship club for a shot at the Prem. People are deluding themselves if they think they'd have done any differently to Howson, Snoddy, Becchio, Beckford et al. In 2013, the rewards, financially and fame-wise, make it impossible for any player not eventually to succumb. And don't forget these guys were giving their all at a time when their efforts were being undermined by Bates' self-serving Chairmanship. Chapel A

13.) 10 May 2013
Hes only ever produced in league 1? he did well in PL with everton and was one of there top scorers!

I for one would love him back but i'm sure there's better out there.

MOT!

14.) 10 May 2013
He scored only 8 league goal for Everton. How is that doing well? Moyes was quick to sell him as he fell out with him over his lack of effort. He was not their top goalscorer. Their top goalscorer was Cahill with 9 league goals

15.) 11 May 2013
Beckford scored 10 that season coming off the bench for everton, I think he has still got a lot to offer, he fits leeds like a glove, but his grafter ie becchio has gone, he left everton because moyes would not annichebe play up front with him, I think he would be great in a four at leeds don't know if we can afford his wages that's the problem

16.) 12 May 2013
Man, come on Beckford was great for us but we had his best, he went for a last pay day at Everton, which I don't blame him

His best years are behind him now and he is truly a Div 1 player and needs to go back to that level

We don't need him, far more better players out there
