I won't be too disappointed if we sell cook. £6 million is decent money, and if we re-invest in the squad, then it's all good. We need to be realistic, there isn't a club in the championship who manages to keep their really talented youngsters. Look at burnley, middlesborough and hull. No highly rated, home grown players at all. Cook may be fantastic in 3-4 years time, but in the meantime, will he drive us to the premier league? Definitely not!

I like your optimism, reinvest my arse that money is already spent, wrong to sell cook should build team around him!

Cook Taylor and Mowatt all been offered new contracts. Cook gone because he wanted to. Obviously bournemouth can offer more money than us so its a no brainer for a young lad. Good luck to him. At least we get deceny money for him. No one to blame that's football. Its what we do with the money that matters.

I think selling cook is a no brainer for that money. Yes he has potential but at the minute that is all . It grates that he's homegrown talent and we don't want to see any of it leave but in all honesty I think he can easily be replaced with better perhaps.

I've realised that we haven't got 1 good player!

It's time to get rid of the dead wood. We've got a few players ( bianchi, sloth, doukara, antennuci ) who are never going to take us forward. And I know it's great having home grown talent, but they're not going to hang around whilst we're a million miles from the premiership. There is no chance of us signing bridcutt permanently, so come July, we will be a much worse team than we are now!

Because they have an owner with ambition who is willing to spend hard cash so I'm waiting for him (Cellino) to sell the club because he is wasting our time now. I don't expect anything from him as few deluded people who still support him: "FFP rules" "GFH on his back" "acquiring cash for buying of ER and TA". Silly excuses, who cares for transfer embargo? Sign good team for 30 million in two transfer window and you don't need another and Football League can go make love with themselves and their transfer embargo.

Great to be in the hat for the next round for a change. The signing of carayol means that we've got 2 natural wide players (Dallas ) so Byram is probably on his way. Not too disappointed. He will struggle in premier league, lack of pace and strength. What is the problem with botaka? Not even on the bench even we're resting players?

doesn't track back, too many step overs, no end product, too much hype.

2.) 10 Jan 2016 02:15:15
How do we know? He's only started 1 game, away to the best side in the division! He sounds like ronaldo, with all the skills and no back tracking.

Agree about botaka. Looks good but too clever and fails to deliver good enough passes.

I'm not too confident that Steve Evans will turn this team around. His sides have always been commitment, passion and dying for the badge. Hate to say it, but I don't think he's got too many of them in this squad.

He will have to make them that way. That's part of his job. This is what Rosler could not fathom.

agree, I know quite a few pro footballers and have played at different standards (from poor five a side to simi-pro) one thing that always happens with pros and better footballers is the will to win, this is the difference between some poor pros and some talented players who didn't make it. Every pro got to where they are due to a desire to win, no player crosses the line and hopes to lose it is not in a pros nature. so now the boss needs to remind them of what being a pro is and install a bit of passion and pride something which I think he will do. Also think we will finlly start playing ugly and direct football which in turn will give better results. I did say I would prefer nigel pearson and also would of liked jimmy hasslebaink given a go but do not think this is a bad appointment at all.

For me, it's the manager appointed in the first place. Hockaday, Darko and some others must have thought they were dreaming when Cellino phoned them. But if he ever got a decent manager with a track record other than being fired, I would be prepared to say. take a few months to get the team right.
But unproven managers or one-trick-pony managers have got to hit the road running or else its bye bye.

Evans knows he's on borrowed time so may throw caution to the wind. Personally, I'd like a manager who knows what he's doing, and backs it up with good football. 10 goals in 11 games is just not good enough.

We got to hope
Evans surprises us al
Mc buggers off
I think UWE partly to blame with mowatt form and Byram situation. Hope we can edge up table and Byram stays.

Well I think that rafferty would be a great signing. I'm only going on what he does for n. Ireland. He looks quicker than wood, a better finisher than wood. And his hold up play and work rate are great. Get him signed up quick!
