On news now Leeds might be interested in Will Buckley, just looked him up on youtube this fella would be a great signing if Iits true.Reminds me abit of snodgrass, direct takes people on and does what a winger should do.can finish aswel

As I said in a previous post he gave our defenders the run around more than once while at Brighton and worth about 10 goals at this level if he plays every game (scores around 1 in 5 + assists on top of that). Still another year or two till he hits his footballing peak so a steal at £1.5m and they may even settle for less as Sunderland try to trim their squad.
Few worries about his wage maybe but honestly can't see Sunderland paying him a huge amount above Championship level so we could hopefully just pass him Sharps wage packet with the name changed crudely using a Biro.

Read a source claiming a deal has been struck with Sunderland, just personal terms to go. Taking it with a pinch of salt but fantastic if true, would really show our intent.

Seen a few reports that say we are in advanced talks but not counting my chickens just yet. Would be a good signing if we did get him.
My only worry is that Byram could be part of the deal as they were interested in him previously.

Hopefully not lifelongleedsfan. It would be a little counter productive if we did, we would then need to go find a right winger and its taking long enough to bring one in on the left.

Brand new to this(well as a poster anyway)I read the site every day good and bad posts and I have to say lads there is a lot of negativity.
I understand we're all fans and we all love Leeds and when its abit quiet we have to find things to comment on but at this minute ee have just hired sn experienced executive (experienced and has history with leeds), a new manager(who I have to be honest after his latter wigan days did not fill me with excitement but after listening to half hour of his press conference I have to admit made me quite excited to atleast give him a chance to a.build us the team we deserve and b.the style of play/commitment/passion we deserve and are all used to being associated with.In my opinon that is why cellino has failed us so far, he didn't realise any of these and hopefully now pearson is here he will drum it into him what being involved with leeds (fan, manager, owner, kit man, tea lady)should feel and ehat should happen.Its so obvious and simple what should happen, the owner know all of the above the msnager he employs takes this on board also then we the fans are happy and wiil turn out in our thousands and fight every minute of every game with our beloved Leeds team and get us out of this championship and back where we belong in the premier league.why did it work for revie, wilko, O'leary/ridsdale for a while(because no matter what we think he did what all us fans wanted and went for it but probably a bit too quick but he was a fan, and he paid for it and, grayson.If he had have been sble to keep that team he had together and add to it no doubt about it we would have been up now, and even redfearn but he just wasted talented enough tactically unfortunately, anyway it worked because they did what we all wanted and played with the fight passion commitment we strive.so please you people being negative let's give this a chance to work, let him build his team and see how we play even if its for 5 games thrn start with the negativity and use it when its needed.the ticket problems are easily solved, if you have supported leeds for 50 year go get the cash and buy your season ticket regardless even if you have to fly/drive miles to do so but do it and let's start being positive.you msy just widh you had of got that ticket in a few months. poisitivity lads positivity.MOT

I don't have rose tinted glasses fella its the truth,this club has to be run by leeds people, wether they adopt that mind set or have it in their dna i'm not fussed aslong long as they realise what being associated with leeds means,sooner cellino does that's when it will work.Obviously somebody has to give him a kick up backside about man management skills also

Your missing the point pal, I said it has to be run by leeds people as in who realise what being associated with leeds means and has the mentality we all do,he obviously doesn't yet and that is my point it will work if he adopts that mentality or it won't if he just runs us like his italian team.we are a rare team unlike any other as in what we all expect, ask any fan, ask eddie gray ask batty vinny jones, alan smith whoever.this is why we get linked with so many players of past because they worked when they were here thry understand leeds.every past player won't work second time round for obvious reasons but we mention the ones who could maybe do a job still because they're one step in front of these italians or whoever else as they already have the most important thing the knowlage of what being here means

Bit of a difference in cagliari and leeds hence that's why he's here and not there anymore after 20 odd year.different clubs have different targets and aspirations.look at the size of leeds and the fan base were a 1 team city too there is massive potential just nobody wanted to take on our debt on and all the graft needed and we didn't have many assets,now we have good youngsters and can buy the ground/training ground back then we sorted.

Fair point pal but you're looking too much into it I think maybe, he's just aiming high eventually who cares if its this or next aslong as we see progression and the making of a good team.hes not talking 5 year down line he said he re evaluated his plan after saying wel be in premier league in 2 year and now said if he doesn't get us up in 2 more year hel walk.sounds fair enough to me and I think its maybe pearson and uwe who have made him start being abit more realistic, going back to uwe's press conference he said top 10 will be good.does he really think that?doubt it but my point is better to sound realistic and everything else is a bonus.nobody thought bournemouth would get promoted and they didn't come out shouting about silly targets.to be fair I think he just needs to think before he speaks.champions league thing is obviously later down line but like I said i'd prefer him to say that than be how bates was.it makes me laugh about all these clubs they had some really good times and memories doing what they did and i'm sure their fans enjoyed it at time just like I did what ridsdale was doing, there's always a chance things can go t*ts up but nobody can say they weren't good times its called gambling and unfortunately it was a gamble that went wrong.

Make your mind up George,budget is insufficient but then you admit it is a step forward even if only baby steps. would you rather him decrease the wage budget?its up 2.5million how on earth is that not a step forward when it cleary means they can sign a couple of players on higher wages
