ok I want to start by applogising, I know I can be very negative and I get annoyed when I have seen the game and fans who have not act optomistic and tell me not to be negative. but I want to be positive, 1stly one goal was bit iffy if it was a dive, 2ndly the other goal was a mistake which you can not account for 3rdly we seemed to play well and could of scored more. result was bad but I do think we are playing ok and will get results. before when I was angry/negitive it was due to how we were playing, patterns of play and style which would always make poor results this time I think/hope it is different. Also people slating redders for not making changes and maybe not having faith in the bench this may be true and maybe a fair point but also consider this is not his team, he might not have faith in bench as it is not his bench if in a years time things are the same then it is bad as he should of fixed it. if honest I would not want to bring on tounge morrision etc as I have no faith in them but then like with redders they are not my players. MOT

Yeah. Its a shame that after 2-3 years of transition we have still a lot of dross to move on. Shift 5-6 out, jus get a winger and goalscorer in. We can't keep playing better and better but not get points! Everybody from cellino down needs to learn what is needed of them. We all know!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I wanted to appologise to 7000 who travled and might be annoyed and me not seeing the game saying all is ok and I am positive (that annoyed me when I was at wall game we were joke and people not their telling me all was well). but from what I read and saw we played well, under hock it was a joke, under darko we were too negitive, played too deep, passed inside our teratory yet offered no threat. saturday was a mistake which happen and can not be accounted for and a dive by the sounds of it. I think we are playing more sensible and with real threat rather than pretty passing but as dangerous as a blunt spoon. Could do with a winger I think annuci is our goal scorer and in different set up sharp would get goals. I still think these players and redders will gel and get better. That said we need points as I have said before rather play bad and ugly and win than play nice and lose, I do predict a very happy xmas for leeds fans with good performances AND results

Agree0 Disagree0

We have to stay optimistic and it would be pointless getting rid of Redders at this stage. However, you say it's not his team. It wasn't Cockaday's or Milanic's either. The team is Cellino's and he has made it quite plain to see that he recruits and the COACH has to do his best with them. If Redders isn't happy with the players he better start warming to them. I feel the squad we have is good and the football for the best part is better than it has been since the Premier days. We just need to stop the silly mistakes. If we can communicate better and cut out the mistakes we'll do OK this season and that is down to Neil.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good point JT, the players are MC's and I have to say I am pleased with the players brought in and their quality (other than ajose who I think has been poor) that said I am sure neil can at leat suggest players and argue a case for them to be sold/brought in. I think neils game plan and style is effective and will work (unlike with our last two managers) and I am positive and think it will come good and as you all know I can be quite negative at times but I think things look good. certainly best squad since graysons days and also the team that lost in playoffs to watford so maybe playoffs might come this season (if we hit a great run) or next once team is bedded in

If we are failing come January. He will have to buy some quality so I'm not worried one bit. If we had Bates in charge I would be slightly panicking that come January our best player will be sold and we'll be left to the wolves but Ireally think MC will invest if needed

Believable0 Unbelievable0

True and I have heard messi to leeds fact (i don't mean the player I just mean someone who can't eat spaggti hoops without slipping it on his vest)

Bowyer is saying that is Blackburns best win all season?

A stupid defensive error and an obvious dive from Varney?

If that's your best win then the rest of them must have been pretty poor?

I am very optimistic about our future for a change, but if Bowyer thinks that win is something outstanding he obviously has no clue whatsoever.

We will learn by our mistakes, where are you going to be if you rely on diving and mistakes Blackburn?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its was really as they picked up 3 points from absolutely nowhere, the game was lost more or less yet they battled on with 10 men and beat us.

Is anyone like me fearful that the decision to buy quantity over quality is now coming back to haunt us. It is clear we do not have enough quality to sustain a decent run of form & unless we get in players that can make the difference we will be in for a lot of hurt this year & we definitely won't be in the premiership after next year as MC has indicated/promised. Before all the comments about being negative start I am only passing on judgment after watching all of the games so far this season.

Have faith, we are in a better position than we have been for many years, and although we aren't winning games we do have a team that is building on itself?

We still have many players to get rid of (and I do mean that in a harsh sense, they have taken the money and not performed) but those coming through need some time, don't expect an instant fix.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to say I think we have brought quality certainly better than players brought in since grayson left

Ive said it before and I ll say it again

Silvestri > Kenny
Berardi > Peltier
Cooper > Lees
Bellusci > Wootton
Bianchi > Green
Adryan > Murphy
Cook > Brown
Antenucci > Smith
Doukara > Poleon

Subs
Sloth > Norris
Taylor > Ashdown
Ajose > Kebe

Were missing McCormack but overall, man for man, were much better :)

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree that our squad is stronger than last year however as we have strengthened so has everyone else in the division. We have lacked key individuals for a number of years i.e. a destructive player in the midfield, wingers, a dominant defender.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha love it Mr Mitch you are always so downbeat, bet your xmas lunch is a sell out with everyone wants to come and hear your tales of woe as it will make them feel better!

I agree with some of your players being compared but you have been a bit lazy, for example:
Sil/Kenny - Kenny can't kick, is a dwarf, Sil can and isn't. Both good shot stoppers but never really saw Kenny much outside his 6 yard box, mind you with Sil that might be a good thing.
Berardi/Peltier see your point.
Cooper is much better than Lees, Cooper can pass, play, not scared of the ball, Lees was and Mr hoofball.
Bellusci/Wootton jury out on that one
Bianchi/Green you could argue on this one but see where you coming from.
Adryan/Murphy - no way, have seen more from Adryan in 3 games than Murphy ever did, Adryan much quicker feet/more skillful and won't get sent off for bad tackells!
Cook/Brown - Ha good joke that one
Ant/smith - very different type of players so come on please, ant can run, not a giant, I liked both of them, they may score similar amount of goals but diff types of player, I would have both in my squad for options.
Doukara/Poleon - think Douk has scored more goals this season than Dom ever did in all of his, both quick

But yes we need a bit more quality so agree with that, a exp/good center midfielder who can close out a game for us. A winger for the pace option but a decent one (not klebe types) and another forward who better/diff option than what we already have and who can give us 10 goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree for the most part. Not sure about Biannchi for Green. Green was a good player when fit. Jury still out on Biannchi. Although better we haven't moved forward enough to make that real difference. Hope by playing toether that sorts it out but I have a feeling we need to fortunate enough to go into the market and buy the sort of player that turns out to be the one to make the difference. eg Collins, Giles, Strachan. A pacy winger wouldn't go amiss either or a decent front man (not keen on Sharpe) or reliable centre half. Main thing though is an experienced general who can marshall the youngsters.

Are you for real Mitch?
No mention of Mowatt or Byram in your team but Cook in,but in your earlier post (see below) you slate Cook?and say we need experience yet your better side has little or no Championship experience.
So Mitch what exactly do you want??

Agree0 Disagree0

Doesn't Mitch say what your all saying or am I mis reading it? He says we are better all over the pitch

Agree0 Disagree0

Mowatt and Byram aren't new signings, Cook technically is as he hasn't really played before. Byram and Mowatt can't be better than themselves now can they.

I'm not always downbeat, hence the promotion bets I have on and top scorer ones, I am just realistic and generally fed up of being behind teams like Brentford and Rotherham. I am enjoying this s eason a lot more due to the fact we have a younger side and were much better football. No hoof ball or bean poles up front

Note to redfearn, get shut of deadwood and bring in better players than you are not afraid to make a substitution with. Either noone on bench to change a game or he hasn't faith in anyone changing a game. We must makes changes earlier and affect the game when opposition is on top. That's one thing I admired about Grayson his ability to change things and go for it.

Liverlass

Yes indeed the sign of a good manager (Jose M great example) is that they will change players/formation quickly (ie before other team score!) if game going against them, that could be after 30 mins or 60 mins it doesn't matter.

A pro active manager will always get my vote even if it doesn't work, how many managers leave it until either the other team score or around the 60-65 min mark, a trained monkey could do that for god's sake.

As they say fortune favors the brave!

Rant over

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree Liverlass. Redfearn is outdated in how he uses substitutes and to be honest his approach is play by numbers unless an injury forces him to make a switch

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree and can see point but please keep in mind this is not his bench, he might not have any faith in them and feel he has to stick with starting 11 as he might not rate bench at all. hopefully he will bring in some of his players and then this should change if the same next season then it is a real worry

Well, wasn't at the game and only just seen the highlights. Didn't realise their first goal was such a monumental c**k up on our part. Can't tell conclusively whether penalty was a dive or not from TV. But, and I know we should be putting these games to bed when we are on top, there must come a time when we get some of the luck. I would hope that it's not beyond the ability of the players and Redders to have some games where they play well for 90 minutes not 60 and don't give away goals by stupid mistakes. For what it's worth, and not that it matters - I agree Cooper should have just hoofed the ball away. It's so annoying that there are so many positives and yet we can't get better results

Good post speedy. I was there & until the massive cock up (which gave them momentum) I didn't see them scoring. I totally agree with what Redders said after the game. A point was disappointing but to lose to a dive from an ex player was gut wrenching. With a couple of experienced players we are a good side. Maybe not this year but very optimistic for the future MOT

Varney was involved, you don't need to question whether it was a dive or not. This guy couldn't put a ball in the back of the net when he was a yard out from the line and nobody in front of him.

Still optimistic. Talk of a dogfight is premature. We did not lose Sat (yes I know what the score says) but the did not score against us from open play. We gave them a goal and they stole a second, so in my eyes 1-0 to Leeds. I do not even think that we need to panic buy in Jan our squad is the biggest in the Championship the first priority is to cut the wage bill and ship out some dead wood.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Sorry Leodis, despite your positive spin you don't get three points for winning on moral grounds. The team lacks leaders and quality experience to help the young players that Cellino has assembled.

Agree0 Disagree0

The League table does not lie neither do the points we constantly give the ball away in dangerous positions, yes we have young promising players who can play football and we do need leaders, this is not Revie's Leeds, trying to play football in our own area is suicidal. Tough games coming up Derby twice, Ipswich, Fulham, Forest and Wigan and only 2 points above the drop. Fulham and Wigan need to be beaton another point somewhere would be great.

Agree0 Disagree0

We all know the league table and my scales in the bathroom do lie occassionaly however hips don't lie
