Sam Byram to have hip operation could this not have been done in the Summer giving him more time to recover?
1.) Doesn't bode well.
Gylfi Einarson had the world at his feet until his hip operation. oh hang on a sec.
2.) Well, no-one knew he needed the operation then. they still don't know for certain. Why don't we operate on every member of the squad carrying a niggle over summer then?

4.) No if you listen BMD said he 'may' have to have surgery, but might not. Plus surgery would have been a last resort if they thought he could recover naturally.
5.) Its is believed that they have tried giving him injections for this injury in the hope that it would have recovered and he could play through. Obviously this could mean a potential chronic injury which will not only effect his playing ability but also damage any future transfer activity. Bright young starlet but I fear will never reach his full potential and may have limited exposure in the team in the future.
6.) An operation on someone as young as byram is a last resort and should only be done if nothing else is working
7.) Incorrect bmd said that he might need an operation but we don't know at this stage
8.) Good God some people have already written Sam off as being finished!
Cant be that critical or he would already be under the knife!

9.) Seems the club have got it wrong as they did a few years ago when Becchio were injured, and he ended up missing a chunk of the season, due to not having a op when he should have done, Byram should have had the op in may, now because he didn, t he, l more than likely be out til early 2014.

Its a smoke screen so no one signs Byram and come early September he will make a recovery an surgery will not be required!

Spoke to BMD on flight to Dublin on Saturday he said trying to get 3 players in and move 5 out but difficult due to their high wages. He didn't say who the players were.
