Sorry folks but in 40 years of following Leeds I have never felt as depressed about a new season. As a Leeds and England fan I find it appalling that all teams are happy being owned by foreigners content to sign mediocre or worse talent from overseas. Let's be honest every name linked with the club has failed to make it in their own country and has to be googled to find out who they are. Surely there are British lads playing up and down the country, perhaps in reserve teams who would leap at the chance to resurrect a sleeping giant, if only we had the leadership, and there lies an even bigger problem!

Could not more strongly disagree. MC clearly a savior. Did the necessary cost cutting. We are no longer owned by Haigh et al. Need I say more? Please judge signings and the Hock after 20 games not before. I also have news for you. Finding young British talent is not what it used to be 20 years ago mainly due to influx of foreigners but only way to alter that is when you are at the top. We are not. It takes serious money to obtain such talent. MC shouldn't have to pay 10 million for such players. Too risky at this stage. I believe the incoming players from serie a and b are better than you think.

2.) 2-3yr plan mate stick it out unless you wanted Bates to stay!!!
Spurs went out and spent over £100,000,000 in 2 months last season look where it got them!!!

MC has a plan, give him time, let him build then criticise if it don't get any better, what else did we have REALLY apart from admin?

3.) The english lads would cost 4/5 times as much though, that's why all, clubs look abroad for players, I for one am feeling happy about this season, sick of signing 30+ englishman on big wages

I, on the other hand am looking forward to the new season with hope in my heart and anticipation to the max! Regardless of signings or coaching staff that have not yet had an opportunity to prove themselves - I live in the hope that we shall do well and be exciting to watch. Our owners - I have faith, for the first time in years we have someone who loves the game - as I love the game! If he loves my team as I love my team then I shall continue to invest my time as he continues to invest his (and his cash!). So cheer up and look for the good and not the bad! I shall be miserable as and when we lose - as I always am! MOT

Really this is the worst you've felt about a new season considering our history I'm absolutely GOBSMACKED (pardon the capitals).

6.) Just because we have not heard of a player doesn't mean he's second rate. I for one think Cellino and Salerno know the Italian market and Viviani is one of the hottest young prospects in Italy. An equivalent English player would cost five times the £2 million we are supposed to be paying (Ross McBadgekisser). On that note, when did we last bid £2 million?. not for a long time.
MC is a breath of fresh air in my opinion. He ain't scared to splash the cash but won't throw money away on garbage, the complete opposite of the previous two administrations.

7.) I'm surprised by OP. Along with many others I'm excited with all the changes at ER, and looking forward to the new season. Let's face it, it has to be better than the last. At last we have an owner with ambition, rather just filling his back pocket at the clubs expense. I personally couldn't give a t=ss what their nationality is, as long as they give their all to Leeds.

8.) This is the best pre season we have had for years. Trust in Don Cellino. Even the part timers should be happy.
