I read recently big Sam found him to be very agent driven. Even in the short time he had with willy.
I'm afraid that this could shape a career if willy doesn't wake up to what's happening and doesn't stop doing anything his agent tells him.
It happened with anelka. I think he had his brother as his agent and he never settled anywhere and sulked his way through his career.
{Ed001's Note - Anelka was very settled at Liverpool, lovely lad actually was always very nice and friendly and no signs of any sulks at all. Unfortunately for him Gerard Houllier didn't want to make him a permanent signing and instead signed dross. Honestly though, Anelka was not a sulky lad at all, he was very inquisitive though and would ask questions during tactical briefings and sometimes offered suggestions, which Houllier couldn't stand.}

Quite possibly a French thing Ed, they do get slightly more emotionally envolved, I should know I’m married to one ?.
{Ed001's Note - I don't know, I was just gutted Nic wasn't kept, I got on really well with him and I know he was desperate to stay. His brother was almost reduced to chasing Ged around to ask him to sign Nic but Houllier wasn't listening.}

So Gnonto heavily linked to Everton HA ha why would he go there?
Rumoured 19Mil. Why do we sell so cheaply when we should say 30 mill or of you pop and if he don't like it banish him to the reserves. He is under contract with no release clause and his wages are not massive so we hold all the cards.
Me for one won't be too disappointed if he goes as very hit or miss and recon a season in the Championship will be a benefit for him.

The signing of Nat Phillips from Liverpool seems to be gathering pace.
The right type of player that we need for this coming season. If true it shows intent that the 49s are serious and that more of this calibre of player will be signed.
I believe that a set of deals for the manager and players are in place when the ratification is confirmed.
I read a lot of if not most of what is posted on here and whereas a broad range of posts are discussed i think we are all together and really looking forward to the new season. I am for one. MOT.

I'm basically retired now, but spent the last 10 years working just outside Cardiff and so would always go to the away game [and the Swansea game] and would "invite" some to Elland Road. Always a miserable encounter and its very hard to gauge what each team would achieve going into the match.
Even in our promotion season, it was the same; cruising 3-0 up against 10 men and we draw 3-3! Then the first match after the c.v. restart and they do us 2-0. For me always so much baggage attached to the game, being English working Wales.
I hope we turn up and our "EPL Quality" shines through [I know! ]; Sky obviously think there's a potential story to be had; I'll personally be glad to get that match out of the way early doors!
On paper at least, not a bad opening month.

So we have no goal scoring midfielders in this team? Summerville 17. James 13. Gnonto 7. All are wingers but form part of a midfield as we play 2 attacking midfielders and 2 holding. We don't play 5 strikers. I think maybe the 2 holding midfielders should be chipping in with 5 goals each! If only. Glad we have contributed 37 goals from non striker positions though :-)

Alf. That ship has sailed. I understand why he left as who wouldn't and with relegation the following season for leeds it was justified. However, he is still a quality player but i think Ampadu is better so where will he fit in? We have Kamara as cover and Dallas is getting near. I liken him to Milner as Leeds born and bred but he didn't come back.

I like most sat there dismayed at half time on Sunday but strangely thought we would pull it back. To be fair it was criminal we didn't get the 3 points that our play deserved, b4 anybody jumps on me i know the defensive frailties from last season were still there but saw a togetherness from the 15 or so players that were involved that definitely wasn't there last season.
I have gone on record recently that we will have enough to gain promotion either auto or through the play offs and i still believe that.
