Spot on poster Tone. Andy Flowers it is. So long as it's not Paul Flowers from the Co Op Bank .

Or Tim Flowers the ex-Blackburn goalkeeper!

Andy Flowers is investing by selling shares in his company which is 'only' worth £100m. while this is worth more than I have in the bank we will need a lot more than Flowers can provide if we are to challenge the richer clubs in the UK.

Just hope Flowers is one of many investors.

Agree1 Disagree1

Totally agree. £100m (thats not even his personal wealth), doubt we will be flying high any time soon.

We need 5 of him at least to get up!

Here's to hoping.

P.S - David HAIGH isn't putting much cash in himself, how much of a blagger must he be to convince others to put cash in! what a guy

Agree1 Disagree3

{Ed013's Note - Some people are never happy!}

Why does everyone judge before things have even happened, that goes for players as well, just wait and see what happens then be a pessimist.

Agree3 Disagree0

who knows what David Haigh is putting in and what he is worth. Secondly nobody knows for sure yet who the investors are, or how much they are putting in.I sometimes can only assume that posts are put on here from other clubs fans just to wind us real fans up they cannot be from our club and if they are god help us.

How do you know Haigh is not putting much in? why can't we just be happy we are getting however much and if it is enough to bring Gradel back then all the better. Things are on the up so let's not get carried away or pee on the bonfire, let's just ENJOY!

I think if its 1 million more than what our present owners are putting in we shouldn't be moaning, now give David Haigh and his consortium chance, look at the bad old days under Bates. DAVE MOT!

People really need to stop complaining this early on, with the squad we had before we brought in Smith, Murphy, Zaliukas, Wooton I doubt we would be doing as well as we currently are ( I except that we would still have had McCormack) but those players have been a great deal of help especially Zaliukas, and they hardy cost us anything so it's not like we need a great deal extra to carry on going, c'mon lads and ladys let's not be negative this early MOT

Maxi gradel to be confirmed as signing in jan on Friday

Believable30 Unbelievable25

Radio aire say we in discussions about resigning gradel

Agree8 Disagree0

Respect, let's kick on now. ross will be lapping up the service to him come january

Agree1 Disagree0

If there is the money, I would love to see guidetti on loan he is a good goal scorer, mobile and would compliment McCormack + Gradel.

Agree2 Disagree0

No not at all. Discussions have started, yes, but that is a long way from confirming the signing. Good sign though, would be great to have him back

Agree2 Disagree0

I hope not! Yes gradel was a great player for the 18 months he was with us, but no one seems to understand he has had an anterior cruciate tear! He will never be the same player EVER again! Don't believe me? Michael Owen, Robbie Fowler and a bit closer to home Davide Somma. careers ruined by an ACL injury. He will cost us a lot of money and will not be good enough given our expectations IMO

Agree0 Disagree2

To the poster who reckons he would never EVER be the same again, it is different in every case. Del Piero tore his ACL in his early career and was and still is a great player. Ruud Van Pistolchips did his before he joined MU and he did alright and Shearer did his back in 92 in the early years at Blackburn and he was pretty awesome afterwards.
I am not saying he will be as good but there is nothing to suggest he won't be!
On a side note, if we sold him for £3m, will he cost £3m and if so, isn't there better players out there for that money? Just a thought

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree, Gradel has had his best days, we need to move on, and I know he's still only young but he's had a bad injury and hasn't set the world alight in France. I think we'd be better looking to buy a young winger from the lower leagues and continue to build for the future. Which is looking good under McDermott.

Agree0 Disagree1

Why would you rather 'build' for the future when you can do it now!

Agree2 Disagree0

We actually got about 1.5 million for him and he's played sporadically since his injuries suggesting he hasn't actually recovered.

You must me an eternal optimist!
How many billionaire sheiks have we been liked with (and look what we ended up with )?
We also need more than Max to get us in to the promised land.

I suggest "loaded" is a bit OTT, but we should have enough money to make us competitive in the Championship transfer market

Haigh confirmed at a LUST meeting last month that there is still 2 years left on the Macron deal and they are happy with that. Although do expect us to have 3 new kits next season, as this seasons first choice away kit is only advertised as this season (13-14) whereas in the past they have all lasted 2 season. I think we may go back to the All White/all yellow/all blue.

Believable20 Unbelievable6

Hope so!

Agree2 Disagree0

I always liked the yellow away kit, and it always semed more lucky for us
