Snodgrass*

Agree5 Disagree1

At end of the day if they do pay us 8 mil in payment or even a 5 mil + add-ons i would snap there hands off . hes 1 player that deserves to be in prem league and probably would have more chance of getting there with cardif as bates won't spend money but if we take 8 mil warnock could get us out of this league next season as long as he is given the money to spend

Agree3 Disagree3

Just to clarify the point, if we get 8 million for snoddy, master bates will allow NW to bring at least 2 more player ins on loan as replacement......

Agree1 Disagree2

Snodgrass is Leeds. without him we're nothing.

Agree2 Disagree1

When since did Cardiff have £8 million. I heard they could be the next pompey.

Credit where it's due,Leeds were great last night.the fighting spirit and pressing was back to ITs best.becchio looked a handful again.webber had a good debut.Davis in goal was outstanding,any other keeper and at least a couple would have gone in.I was a warnock fan before he came,and I've seen nothing to make me think diff.pleAse Ken support his pursuit of players,shrew leeds

Leeds step up the chase for Matt Mills as Warnock is on the verge of loaning a new defender?

I don't know about anyone else but I thought our defense was magnificent yesterday, the only time they got caught out was the goal. Pughs covering was fantastic, O'Deas clearing was good most of the time and Lees was a great stopper as usual. Did anyone else think Bromby was good until he good injured or is it time for a new right back? {Ed013's Note - A new right back is long overdue, also O'Dea was a different player yesterday. Long may that continue as I didn't rate him and would enjoy him proving me wrong}

Believable5 Unbelievable4

The defence probably had their quietest game of the season yesterday! Can't agree that they were "magnificent" at all. Bromby and O'Dea were a shambles for their goal.

Bromby isn't good enough, either in the middle and definitely not at right back. Also I have to say Pugh is too slow to be a full-back, as he showed in his first spell at Leeds!

But it was certainly a great performance overall yesterday. Becchio answered the idiots who've been on his back on here recently and the performance of Webber was very encouraging considering how little football he's played.

I can see Reading catching Southampton. It would be very sweet to gain revenge on the Saints in the play-offs! However, if we don't sign a couple of defenders I can't see us finishing any higher than 9th/10th.

Cardiff want snoddy for a reported £8m.
Wow that's nearly 20yrs worth of transfer fees for us,using the past 5 yrs as a guide!

Believable2 Unbelievable5

Rejected. Under Grayson he will've probs gone but now, after yesterdays performance we can get promoted without a doubt. {Ed013's Note - Also where would Cardiff get 8 million from!}

Agree5 Disagree1

Good point Ed, although would they have made that sort of TV money from the Carling Cup final? {Ed013's Note - I doubt it, I was under the impression they were in a bad way financially and if they don't go up this season they could be in a bad way}

Agree4 Disagree1

I'd sell Snoddy for 8 million. Too big to turn down in my opinion. Really good player and easily Premiership class so I'd turn down 5 and 6 million tbh. 7 would tempt me but 8 does it. Bag the 7.85M profit Leeds. Bates in charge. Nuff said.

Agree4 Disagree2

Where do Cardiff get 8M from? An offshore slush fund left by Publicity Pete? I think they'll raise the 8M but I don't see Snodders agreeing to go to Wales when better clubs in the Premiership beckon. I can see him ending up somewhere like the Barcodes or either of them Scousers.

Agree4 Disagree2

In the paper it never said that there going to bid 8 mil . If you read the paper it says Cardiff are going to bid for snodgrass no matter what league there in. And it is believed that snodgrass had an 8 mil price tag put on him in the summer

Agree2 Disagree2

Cardiff will be in the europa league next year, providing liverpool finish in the top 6, so will probably have this sort of money to splash around. still dont reckon sonddy would go though {Ed003's Note - I'm sure it's only the runner up in the FA cup that qualifies in that scenario not the league cup}

Agree2 Disagree2

i do think we are all getting slightly carried away here,i think the championship has been poor all around this season,the fact saints are in the top 2 is they have been slightly more consistent than most this season and have a goalscorer not that they are a super/fantastic side...not being negative just being realistic,very important we keep nw and build for next season otherwise this game/performance will have got us all optimistic( the first time for a long time)for nothing... {Ed013's Note - Its nice to hear NW say that the way the players played is the minimum that he expects. Fingers crossed for a strong finish and a board that back him all the way in the summer or I don't think he will stay. It was a good performance and finally gives the fans some positivity}

Believable8 Unbelievable0

Southampton have a goalscorer who we should have tried to sign a few years ago. Fair play to them for that.

Good last post. However to add to that what about all you Bates haters who state that he hadn't given Grayson enough money to build a decent team. well everyone apart from Webber who played last evening was a Grayson player and what a massive difference someone with motivational skills and tactical awareness has made. Also Grayson seems to have taken his tactical unawareness to Huddersfield which has started shipping goals like no ones business. Love him or hate him it is about time all you Bates haters started backing the team throughout the game. When you stopped your Bates Out chants and got behind the team the atmosphere was great and the team were magnificent. I know Bates is a T*** but he is not going anywhere yet so put all your efforts into supporting the team and then perhaps we can build on yesterday.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

Theres a lot more to it than that,thats one performance, lets see how we play over the next 13 games and more importantly if nw stays for next season {Ed013's Note - 12 games I think are left and Mr Warnock needs the support until the end of the season to make him stay. That said, if he isn't backed from the board then I personally don't think he will stay either way}

Agree4 Disagree1

It's a little too early to start slating Grayson yet! Let's see how much backing Bates gives Warnock this summer before we start getting carried away!

Agree4 Disagree1

I always slated grayson (note away from ER)

Agree0 Disagree2

It is too early to start knocking Grayson. If Bates doesn't back Warnock, he'll have to rely on the same sort of signings Grayson always had to. Let's see what happens over the next 12 months before we jump to conclusions about Simon Grayson.

Agree1 Disagree0

Being a good manager isn't about signing players all the time-it is about getting the best out of what you have. Of the players that Grayson signed I thought that the majority were decent solid players. It is just that for whatever reason he couldn't get the best out of them. NW doesn't need to go out and sign another team, he needs to get the best out of what we have and this is what he is good at. I can see us still achieving a top 6 place with the players we have

Well i must say having watched championship sides all season and although it was only one game, last night proved that Leeds are a different class to any other team i have seen. I don't think leeds will go up this season however if this type of performance can continue they will be up before April next year as champions. Come on Bates help the God out. MOT

couldn't make the game yesterday due to work, but managed to catch the 2nd half on sky. just want to say how proud I was to support leeds yesterday. the 20 odd thousand fans did everyone proud and it was nice to see everyone getting behind the team. got my ticket for west ham and hopefully we can create the same atmosphere with 30,000 plus. EVERY leeds fan should get behing neil and the boys regardless of their opinons. warnocks passion is clearly evident from his interviews and he is the man to take us forward. MOT!

we totally outplayed southampton and were just desperately unlucky. two clear penalties not given and a string of superhuman saves from their keeper, well that just sucks. we might be a bit too far behind too get into the playoffs this season, but these really are promising times in the warnock era. if we improve our marking of runnners (e.g. o'dea in lamberts goal) and get a younger version of brown to play DM, next season looks very hopefully indeed. let's get behind the team and show neil that we want him next season and then try and convince him to stay on a season or two more! I am not a warnock hater I am a board hater tho and ask for transparency from the board , as I believe we are the greatest fans in the world and this was shown last night . Regarding neils comments about how long he will be here , Neil is struggling to come to terms with how the board run the club . He had a blazing row with Shaun Harvey on Friday what resulted in Neil leaving the room . The row was around the signing of Matt mills he is on 20 k at Leicester after his big money move in the summer and Leeds were only willing to pay 7 k towards his wages with Leicester paying the rest or Matt mills taking a 13 k wage cut what even on massive wages , We all life by are means . Neil is having serious thoughts about how far he can take our club with his hands tied like the previous managers had .

Believable4 Unbelievable9

Your source? Sounds like a load of anti NW bile to me! How do you know any financial details of what Leicester are paying Mills and how much we are willing to contribute to his wage? Ken plays his cards very close to his chest so he certainly ain't gonna tell you or the media is he?

Agree6 Disagree1

I don't think thats true at all,just stirring the pot,there has been no leaked info regarding this at all

Agree5 Disagree1

As I said I am not a warnock hater think it's great he is at the club . And think he can do great things for the club my uncle had dinner with Yvonne Allen who is on the board Friday and was telling him this information I think she would know the finacial implications of the deal as she is not a fan of how Shaun Harvey conducts himself

Agree2 Disagree4

At last a manager that will stand up to Harvey .... Niel Warnock should get his way and Harvey may have to concede to Neils vast experience and managerial role if we are to keep this team and manager and go forward . Neil doesnt need to worry about his job or security financially - so he can walk at any time if Harvey doesnt respect his authority as manager - Politics of the job - Neil will bring success if allowed to manage transfers - if not he will leave in May FACT

Agree3 Disagree0

Your totally right , I personnel think he will leave due to Shaun Harvey been a tight arse but I think that is under orders from ken .

Having 18 attempts on goal is fine but if we cant score with either of them then what is the point? We need someone who is clinical in front of goal.

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Yeh, Messi would have put at least one of those away.

Agree2 Disagree0

This is very true. We wont win anything by missing this many chances! Poor defending for the lambert goal to, he was completely unmarked! {Ed020's Note - i think it was a case that on the night, everything went against us, soton are flying at the top of the league, if we play like that against other teams then we're bound to get results dropping in. a mixture of amazing goalkeeping and bad refereing did'nt help us.}

If you feel the need to spout this rubbish wait until close season or it's mathematically impossible to get in the play offs to flap yer gums.

We did enough to win 2 football matches against Soton. We won't make the play-offs now. Too far behind.
