good game yesterday, ok we did not play well but don't ever play well against them, so to win dispite playing bad is a good thing for me. Wood scored again three big players missing. Thought cooper did well but then always rated him and good to see him play well when next to a proper centre half and not bell-end-ci. Think pontus is better but cooper very good to have on bench. Also good to see douk play, I didn't want him to start against newcastle as he is not good enough but will do well starting against lower teams and again good option. only moans, not sold on o'kane not sure what he does and if he is any good at it, don't think he is bad but jury is still out and finally GREEEN. he has to go, nearly got sent off messing about sliding out of area when clearing into touch was only thing to do (a good team would of cost us) also offisde goal from odemwingy he should of got to, out of place and nearly cost us but cooper covered and the goal was poor and 100% certain the cat would of saved it. Silvstri to get mom on tuesday and hopefully be put back in to first team finally I love wood and he scored again however some want another striker i';d go for rotherman bloke, played for leeds as kid, good touch handful and can scored think he would be great like for like if wood got hurt.

Berm are you in love with silvestri? I only ask as you so fondly refer to the cat in most of your posts! I agree green is shaky but I think you were harsh in your observation of him nearly giving a penalty away it was good committed goalkeeping imo. If all our old goalkeepers stepped forward they would all say ^I am the cat" but there is only one Sparticus and that for me is Nigel Martin. Your thoughts guys on best goalkeeper we have had?

i do love keepers as always played in goal and my favorite ever leeds player is john lukic who I met when I was 8. Green was 3/10 the other day and his play could of cost us three goals against better team, I would have him behind peacock-farrell and even turnbull at moment as he is doing very little right making mistakes and looks shot of cofidence. best ever keeper for me has to be john lukic. only keeper to win two different titles with two different clubs and that don't happen without being class. 90-91 he played every game and was major reason for us coming 4th (when we over achieved) then 91-92 he played every game and was major reason to us winning the league (when we over achieved) them two years he was consistant, amazing with 1-on-1 great shot stopper and controlled our area, sadly form dipped and that is what people remember. Martyn was very good but benifited from our recent golden age never did it for england as he was not top class for me. Robbo far better and the most complete keeper we ever had and shades it from Martyn for me, Martyn often did save for the camera which made his saves look better than they were and made a few mistakes, robbo made saves look easy therefore unspectacualar and can't remember robbo making a mistake and was also great for england unlike martyn.

I still think Green is the better of the two keepers. The Cat is a better shot stopper but that's about all. He was woeful last season at coming off his line and gave no confidence to the back four. I think he is improving and his performance against Norwich suggests that. No doubt he will have a blinder against Liverpool but one Swallow doesn't make a summer old boy. Yes, Green has had a few blips but I think saved us more than he's cost us. Nobody has mentioned that reaction save right at the end of Rotherham game, point blank, which he clawed away. In my opinion, Green saved us two points there. Also in the Newcastle game we would have been one down before we were if Silvestri was in goal. A few minutes before they actually scored the Geordies played a ball in over the top, the Barcode had timed his run perfectly and was in on goal. Fortunately Green had spotted the danger and was quick off his line - Silvestri would not have been! Agree with what you say about Coops though, I really rate him. I also rate O'Kane but think he just had a bad day. MM.

thanks MM interested to hear thoughts on o'kane didn't think he looked bad but did not affect game so interested to hear what people who have seen more of him thought. We normally agree and I do see where you are coming from but silvestri walks into our team for me, silvstri can and has won us games (cardiff norwich are just two that come to mind) green was very good but always loved a gaff but was good, now I don't think he is good so just capable of making a gaff. last year silvestri won us more than he cost like with cooper love to see him with better defence this year as it might help his game a lot which would make him one of the best in the league.

Silverstri was terrible last season. Don't see why that would change this season. He was an embarrassment at crosses and cost us many many games. Green bit better but doesn't fill me with confidence either. Would like Farrell or Turnbull to get a run out.

Berm Robo indeed was a great keeper I agree but I agree with MM I think it's easy not to see the good when you have already made your mind up. The cat is a good shot stopper but can't kick catch or command his area so not too much difference between him or Green other than experience. that can slow the game down when needed and calm things down!

O Kane given top rated player in the current bun and in championship team of the week.

I think O'Kane is a cracking player Wex and Bridcutt's place isn't guaranteed when he comes back. O'Kane gave a lot of possession away on Saturday with stray passes but is always looking to get on the ball. When you see as much of the ball as he does, sometimes passes will go astray. Top player and along with Ayling, one of the unsung heroes. Whilst we're on about Ayling, to me, probably the most shrewd bit of business we've done so far, when you compare his value to the likes of Pontus and Bartley. MM.

Wex, I think The Dandy and The Beano rated him slightly higher actually, and they know their football! 😁.

Probably O'Kane's worst game for us, he has been playing much better and has been a pivotal player since joining us.

Right then boys no Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge, Lallana who are four of their best players on Tuesday and maybe resting a couple as well, must be in with a shout now, hope GM plays the strongest side and let's have a go.

But we have no Bridcutt or Hernandez. Would still rather be in their position.

hope he plays silvsitri and not green, if we are to have any hope against a great team we will need the cat on top form as only he can be.

Squeaky bum time towards end of that match. Half time was rubbing my hands together at the prospect of winning £290 and ended up with a quid. Bad second half, 45 mins against a poor side with 10 men? Upside is we won and in 5th. I expect reading birmingham and hudders to drop out. Still go with my prediction of newcastle norwich leeds derby sheff weds and forest top six. I know brighton will take one of the places but they are an enigma to me and do not exist in my reality.

There is still everything to play for, think bar codes will win it and the other 5 places are up for grabs, Villa will be in the mix. There may have been an element of thinking about Tues in yesterdays performance, with the players just trying to do enough (which is what good teams do ) . Biggest worry for me is player tiredness and fatigue plus injuries, we are now with a full team as good as any team in the League . The next window and the players we get in will have a big impact on where we finish.

Good point PA. I think we just need a striker.

Would say a striker, an attacking mid and a CB to really push on Aus. We have missed Hernandez while he has been out, we just don't have anyone else that can play the role he does, and I can't be the only one who winced when Cooper got the elbow to the face last night, we had no cover on the bench. Without the emergency loan window we need to have options if we get injuries and suspensions to sustain a prolonged drive and we look thin in those areas.
