Well what a week!

What a win today!

Over the moon for the whole club tonight, especially Neil Warnock who looked like a broken man just a fortnight ago. Happy Birthday Neil!

Another man worth a special mention today is Luciano Becchio. He scored 2 great goals today and now has 4 in 3 games. The man is a Leeds United legend, hopefully people will stay off his back now he's reminded everyone just what he can do with service.

Finally, great to see Adam Clayton demonstrate that as neither a player nor a person will he ever be good enough for Leeds United. I posted on here last season on a regular basis about how overrated he was, especially by himself. He used to get right on my nerves strutting about with his collar turned up like some sort of prima donna. I was glad when we sold him, after today and how he measured up to Tonge, Norris and Green I'm overjoyed!!

I agree mate,but take into consideration poor claytons dilemma,ditched by the love of his life and then coming head to head with the 'ex' ......he he ! Brings back memories of kilkenny anyone ? And yes becchio is a modern leeds legend more thsn smith,kewell viduka ,fowler and keane put together. Mrc1919.

Agree about bechio one of the best strikers we've had in a long time better than smith and the others you mentioned. just wanted to say I thought it was great what Clayton did to celebrate id have done it myself ....why not a bit of fun and theatre that's what its all about . makes it all a bit more interesting and dramatic ....warnock would have loved it all really

All I was trying to say is becchio takes some right stick but always seems to answer his critics,by mentioning the said ex strikers I was merely giving an example of how he has stood the test of time and scored many more goals,just my point of view chaps. Mrc1919.

You've got to be crazy... Yes I'll acknowledge that Becchio has been great for us. He's played 5 seasons and scored double figures in the league for everyone of them. I really like the guy, (he should really be at least Icon of football manager) but no way is he better than Mark Viduka (unless you compare him with the Viduka of now)
Viduka did four seasons in the prem for us and scored double figures each year. If Becchio can do that for us when were promoted then I'll say they are on par with each other, but for me Viduka is the best striker we've had since Hasselbaink and Yeboah

Viduka looked lazy but he banged in 20 goals a season every season in the top flight apart from the last one when he had to return to oz for family reasons, I met him once and he was a top man.

Viduka.i was sat in the west stand as we was fighting to sta y up.viduka didnt fight.i watched him turn his back when the ball was passed to him.if hed played we would have stayed up.i hold him responsible.

Michael bridges was brilliant capable of all kinds of goals . I believe if hasselbaink had stayed that year instead of going Spain we would have won league . they'd have got between 50 and 60 goals as a partnership

Totally agree mate, disinterested in his and our last season in the Prem. Got himself sent off twice the tool, when we could least afford it. We also cut our own throats by selling our only decent defender (Woodgate)

BBC Sport........Clayton sent Kenny the wrong way from the spot. The midfielder, sold by Leeds in the summer, sprinted half the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of a furious Warnock.
Ah well, never mind. Cant say i blame you lad but i think our midfield is ok without you.

Well, when i saw the initial team sheet, minus Diouf, i thought mmmm, McCormack?. But as it turns out a great performance from the lads again. At least the Town fans will be quiet for a while and their form must be quite worrying for them now, Derby up next, another old school classic, lets keep this momentum going boys.
By the way, Chelsea are on a bad run at the mo, anyone fancy a semi final??

I think we just need another striker for those games where we are struggling to find the net. Mackail-Smith is top of Warnock's list.

Wont be far off if we keep this lot fit.... thomas might even improve with a few more games.... only worry for me LB... but add Matt Phillips or someone like him....keep ross and el hadj fit too.... get rudi back.... suddenly not too bad... bit of momentum and who knows.... would like us to sign a leader....

Imagine the side with another couple of premier league players in,along with what we already have,will definitely be in the race for automatic promotion,well done NW and the lads.

Lets not forget Hall coming good now he's had few games . most assists in English football last season and 2 today that will give the lad a massive boost. he just needed the games didn't have much of a pre season apparently

To those posters who slated Becchio a few weeks ago, you see what happens when he receives quality feed... He scores try getting behind the team rather then slating individuals, its quite clear to me that the poor performances a few weeks ago was a blip. Mot!

Well said jc,us leeds fans can be mercyless when things arent going well but so glad to see becchio actually getting service from the flanks and not just long ball gambles,just hope he goes on to reach that top ten all time goal scorer list and well beyond. Mrc1919

I never slated Bechio, but I did say a few dad ago that I would have played diouf and McCormack ahead of him. I still think I would. Bechio is better than both with his head, but he isn't as skilfull as either. I would agree it might be best to have the best of both though.
But hey, this site is all about opinions. A few weeks ago I said we would win the next four cos NW would have to play Norris and green with injuries and suspensions. However he played varney for the millwall game. IMHO we would have beat millwall simply swapping Norris for varney. A few weeks ago most of you lot said we would be lucky to get a point.

What an accomplished performance today ! Players who have been written off already this season are all suddenly coming good ! Ive posted many times before that once we can bring in quality,proven premiership players the players around them will come good. Lets just hope we can hold on to them till the end of the season,especially tate,who I think has been exceptional and such a steadying influence. Mot ! Mrc1919.9

Warnock said he wanted him but he was asking for too much at the time and warnock said he needed the money for players.

I personaly wouldnt of minded him celebrating if it had been a great goal it was the fact it was a penalty and i hardly recall hearing him mentioned in the 2nd half

He played well though at end of the day and proved he could of done a job for us .good win today nice and easy

Seen NW saying if we haven't got a reason to make changes to the team why should we? That's fine as a general principle. However, when its a league like the Championship, with physical games, and lets be honest some of our better players are no spring chickens, you can't just play the same team x3 in a week! You have to make changes for freshness and energy where required otherwise why have a squad. I also think that's why we get more injuries Ted. Rudy Austin should never have played against Sheffield Wed and then the next games immediately after flying back from a Jamaica double header. He was injured shortly afterwards. It's not as if his performance was great in those games either. He was clearly batterred. I would make changes today. I bet we don't and I bet we labour through the game and get a battling draw at best.

He changed the team and we won 2-4 keep up the positive vibe

Original poster here. I was wrong. It was my honest opinion before the game. Absolutely delighted to have got it very wrong. It means Leeds had a great weekend. Well done lads.
