Although a lot have said winger, I believe all we really want is someone who is fast. Runs at defenders quickly and can cross a good ball. Call them what u want. That is what we need. I don't think any of our current strikers would worry a defender if they picked up the ball on halfway line. A quick player that picked the ball up there and run quickly at goal certainly would.

Good post Ausman. We need pace, that's all in an attacking area of the pitch. All footballers should be able to cross otherwise shouldn't be professionals. Best crossers I've seen in a leeds shirt were Mel Sterland and Carl Shutt.

agree we need pace, I think cook has got some and can beat players and same for bryam possible cook? like to see more of ant as he seemed quality imo and might have a bit of pace and certainly skill about him, this said last year at times under redders didn't we play fast pace effective coutner attacking football (granted only at times) how did we play this so well? also if we get more players who would you drop my line up would be and I think that is a good team although i'd love another center half as prority

Its not just about pace, Think of Snodgrass he had no pace but had the skill to get defenders to commit to a challenge and then skip pass them.

It the ability to get defenders to dive in and still beat them. The Italians call it "SALTARE IE jumping the player" that my best interpretation.
