Realise that today a few players were just not at the races but the basic error was the team selection.
I could not see how a fit again right footed Rodon could be benched for Cooper?
Our full backs were pressured far too much today by their respective wingers but in that instance it is the CBs and wingers jobs to help out this, never happened today. Hopefully a point to iron out on the training ground.
If out 2 in midfield were being outmuscled by their 3 then a system change should possibly have been istigated to steady the ship, As it was they had too much time in the centre of the park to play telling balls (not helped by some woefull tracking back) .
I could go on about our disjointed forward line but I think it is turning into too much of a rant and it certainly is not meant to be that.
Unlike some, after our recent mini run I was happy but not ecstatically expecting us winning everything at a canter with the best set of players in the league. No we got well beaten today but if we learn some lessons, tweak some things and regroup it could be a blessing in disguise.

Came to see if I was in the minority today in what I watched. Send I was.

Hopefully DF has learnt a lesson today. Until ALL the players are equal quality, you can't play the game of "well you came of the bench and did ?? so so last game, so keep your place"

Cooper has to remain on the training pitch, pass on that wisdom he has ?? with Rodon on the pitch and Creswell on the bench.

DJ has to come off the bench if he's needed.

If DF hasn't learnt anything today then Anthony should start going by his own thoughts on players doing well.

DF faith only goes so far.

Otg. i ain't a. c9nvert as Joel a 7, James is a horse that you should never bet on, . For me time +again he fluffs it, regardless of the obligatory return post someone will send about his assist's, by +large he has been poor since August

We desperately needed someone to control our game today and create whilst we were in ascendency but, blah blah blah sadly it never happened ?.

Well measured post Leodis, wouldn't disagree with any of it. Agree with you OTG re James coming off the bench, he is always far more effective.
Really disappointed with Summerville today, poor to average at best.

Agreeing with you there Chris our players were sheepish in their approach to this game. Southampton had just come back from a severe whipping by Sunderland and for sure their tails would be up for this game.
Farke had warned against this during the week but I think our players were thinking otherwise.

You’re right about DJ, he is that horse you would not bet on. Can be so effective in some games but a total lead plank in others.

Cree needs to show more for me and deal with his defending. Sadly as much as we are disappointed by Willy in the summer, he would have made a big difference today had he been fit along with Rodon instead of Coops.
