I know we are all getting frustrated because our hope of landing the big one have all been frustrated - so far, Let's take stock against lats year:

1) Goalkeeper - Last year we had 2 clowns. This year 2 good ones.

2) Defense - Ayling is back. We missed him big time when he was injured and we have Pearce full time in the squad. Maybe Pearce won't pleay as a true defender but otherwise we are none the worse and better with Ayling on the Pitch.

3) Midfield - Baker in and Okane nowhere near the grass. Massive improvement. Klich looks like he might come right as well.

4) Attack - Maybe no additions - yet. BUT Lasogga - gone. Grot - gone. Ekuban - gone. An improvement already.

5) Coach - Big improvement. With imptovements still possible I am more hopeful than despondent.

I like this post Kiwi. We have a starting XI stronger than last year and so far, as you say, we have got rid of some players not up to the grade. Now with the addition of a couple (or 3) purchases and a similar number of loans we will be in good shape (well on paper) . I am not one of those who is in despair as I still think there are many players out there who are/ will be available and we do not need to panic and be held to ransom. If they WANT to come to Leeds then great, if not then why overpay them. MOT.
