The problem with Jannson is that he thinks that he is better than he actually is. It's usually lower end Premier teams which are rumoured to be interested. Having said that, I would prefer him to stay at Leeds. I think Cooper is the weak link. The danger is that White turns out to be another Pennington.

But we still have to replace with equal or better which ain’t easy.
Bit harsh on cooper. Not great but Leeds thru and then.
Batty one of my fav players Not gifted and a bit over the top sometimes. But rather that than a wimp.

The way it’s unfolded would suggest to me that his relationship with key figures at the club has been an issue since the last few games of the season. I don’t think it’s about the money gained from selling him but more whether Pontus really wants to be here under the current set up. Big shame but needs resolving quickly as does Saiz. Both need to be sorted whilst the team is away in Australia.

It's a mighty big problem for Leeds. During the last few close seasons their have been dissenting noises coming out of the Pontus camp but when he crosses the whitewash he gives his all. Clearly there is something amiss if he can see his chances of P.

Agree Spanish. Just as great as a new signing would be the tying up of loose ends before the season starts. All the wantaways, all the contact negotiations, all the deadwood dealt with. Start next year with only the players who want to play and the players we want to keep.

I like Pontus. He reads the game well. But as can be seen by most of the top championship teams for the last couple of years. You don't need an international permanent centre-half. They all seem to loan gifted and young ones
If Pontus moves on to the PL, where I think he deserves to be, then I don't think it's the end of the world.

Jansson is one of the best players in the squad. If we sell him and manage to find a player of equal ability or better for less than we get for Jansson, we would have done well.

I agree with solo, Cooper easy the weak link and needs replacing. Plenty of better defenders out there for free!

Alf, if you are taking your wife ratting can you take mine as well. Mind you they would have to be very wide rat holes to accomodate her but once she sticks her nose in anything there's no stopping her.

Agreed Wex, Bartley gave Pontus the opportunity and confidence to attack the ball and do his thing. Not sure he has the same synergy with Cooper.
