Have we bid for Solomon yet? Everybody knows he is a target for us so no secrecy needed. Should get this done this week or move on. One piece of business that can be done this week.

Rumours are Everton have swooped in with a big bid for Solomon.
I'm hoping that I less the wages are huge, Solomon will choose Leeds over any other club, and why wouldn't he? He's loved at Leeds.

Our recruitment recently has been good. Sol ao gruev Schmidt etc. but they bargain basement. We need top drawer for prem. Top money. That’s what worries me. Owners thinking we are Leeds and players want to play for us. Like the embarrassing bid for Hamer in jan. they need to spend. Not negotiate.

Fully agree Aus, in the past we have tried to get players a bit cheaper and it has bit us on the bum a few times. We can't buy big before July 1st apparently because of the year end date for p and s. Just hope we will be bidding for players without getting outbid just to save a million or whatever. But with all the bluster from our leader it would be hugely embarrassing to fail to bring in some prem quality.
