Jack Clarke has allegedly told Mackems that h would like a move to Leeds if possible, but they value him at £20m or above.

But it was "always the plan to leave Leeds".

A repeat of the same quote, George, so I’ll repeat my response; players will say things to please fans at their new club, and I’m sure that most of what comes out of their mouths is fed to them anyway. Should we turn down the opportunity the re-sign the lad because of those 6 words? Abso-feckin-lutely not!

I side with George with regards to the alleged quote. It was like nails on a blackboard for me to read that. However, I had also read that he and his family are diehard Leeds fans. Maybe they were just the words of a jilted lover. After all it could have been he didn't want to go but financially we HAD to sell our crown jewel. I know I have been jilted and said I wasn't that fussed, when really I was.

On saying that, the overriding feeling I have around our search for the Summerville replacement is that Jack Clarke has worn the white shirt before and performed well to a full house at Elland Road. We have a unique atmosphere, and sometimes even the most talented of players finds the shirt too heavy and the crowd expectation too much. In Jack Clarke we have a tried and trusted player who has only gotten better since his sale.

And to nail my colours to the mast. I have previously been in favour of an Alan Smith or James Milner return I the past. They are Ronseal.

At £20 million. fat and zero chance Leeds would be signing JC . he isn't thar good anyway

AIMO.

Bright It was an unnecessary and insulting comment especially in light of our care for him during his mystery sickness.

Agree to a degree within that context George; I still doubt those were his own chosen words, but yes, on that premise, a bit daft to say even if advised!

If Gnonto can be forgiven for being a daft young lad, sure JC can be as well?

Still been reading all the posts, most days, but started realising I was getting a bit dark so apologies to any on here that I offended with my later posts.

And thank you to Jack Clarke, he's brought me back to the best community.
