Agreement made with Barcelona apparently.
What is it?

Agree1 Disagree0

Variously reported to be €72m or €75m guaranteed (presumably meaning no add-ons) , but Hay says it’s not done deal yet - guessing arguing over how much if any will be paid in installments.

And that represents good business imo. Perhaps we will get less of the boo hoo chatter once the deal is done. £61m, however it’s paid, is not to be sniffed at, and pours cold water on the “this board can’t negotiate” snipes. That said, I’d love to see Barcelona relegated! ?.

Yeah. Not sure why raph wants them. Be better off at Madrid Munich city liv psg chels, athl Milan juve brentford.
Barca are yesterday for next 5 yrs.

Because Raph is bit dumb Aus? this is not the Barcelona of Messi and Co,

lurve to see Barcelona suffer a barrel load of defeats in next years

, certainly can't see them even getting close to winning anything in next 5 years.

All Leeds TV said last week that an agent contact of theirs had informed them that Real Madrid were monitoring the situation, but would not move for Raphinha this summer as while they really rated him, they wanted to see how he got on in Qatar, to be sure he will have the high commercial value they would want from their new right winger. Guess they may figure that with only 1.5 years left on his contract after Qatar, even if he’s a standout for Brazil, the transfer fee may not go up much, or at all, but the shirt sales and other commercial deals could go through the roof, whereas if he doesn’t make Qatar due to injury, or Brazil somehow tank in the tournament, their bank balance may be better served overall by bringing in a winger who did light up the competition. PSG were said to still be monitoring the situation too - with Raphinha currently being second/ third choice to replace Di Maria. With Dembele now committing to Barca, Raphinha would be further up PSGs list.

However, if we can get the required money from Barcelona now, let’s take it, and let Raphinha worry about whether it’ll end up being the best move or not.

Baz - maybe Raphinha has such happy memories of his childhood heroes playing with Barcelona that he hopes to be one of a new generation of players who can somehow, against the odds, help that club to re-establish itself as a one that players could be genuinely proud to represent. If he does go there and lights up La Liga, perhaps he hopes he can inspire mutual fanboy Neymar to return for vastly reduced wages, or (rather more realistically) other highly promising younger Brazilians who may have similar memories of Ronaldinho etc in the blue and garnet red shirts.

Lots of IFS Clu . the Neymar one particularly unlikely. Still feasible to likely Barcelona don't sign Raph this window . verbal offer bs

Raphinha 7/ 1 to be a Leeds player still next season. decent odds.

Yes I know Baz, just idly speculating on what possible reason Raphinha might feel/ hopeis a worthwhile reason to go there.

As much has I would like rapphy to be still a leeds united player if he don't want it get shut simple as that it's dragged on long anough he's been great but stuff him now he is a sulker tho like most star player seem to be.

12 Jul 2022 20:56:02
Mally - he ain’t a sulker - just HATES losing - and as discussed months ago, also hated both that the refs were so s#*t for us and that nothing seemed to being done by the Club to address the issues of injuries and lack of squad depth, which all contributed to our continued run of poor results, including such heavy losses.
