There has allegedly been a falling out concerning Ian Poveda meaning he's set for a loan away from the club. Never thought he was good enough or going to be good enough for a PL club. Good character around the squad but we require better. Could also be a sign we're about to upgrade our pecking order reserve.

I think we have with Summerville.

I hope Summerville ain't no ( small-town boy ) that says ( don't leave me this way) because (it ain't necessarily so ) 🤣🤣🤣.

With Summerville possibly displacing Poveda, if we could just find a buyer for Costa, and bring in a decent upgrade on him, suddenly we’d be looking a lot stronger in the winger department.

Don’t think you are going to displace either of our two flanks. All four work well together. I’d be more concerned about mid and striker v.

I’d be an upgrade in Costa clueless.

Bielsa never wanted Poveda originally but Orta insisted. Sounds like Bielsa has finally lost patience or Poveda attitude wrong.

Aus - unfortunately when Costa or Poveda come on as sub for either Raphinha or Harrison, I suspect the majority of supporters get an instant feeling of disappointment/ deflation/ frustration rather than excited anticipation. I guess most of us are still open to the possibility/ desperate hope that the substitution (s) may, against our expectations, work out well. However the initial negative feelings amongst spectators must feed across to the players concerned, in a discernible almost instantaneous change in atmosphere. I suspect that, though the two players are popular amongst the squad, within the general positive supportive vibe between them, privately the rest of the squad may have found that their expectations have lowered on the impact the two players will, in general, make on games. Even if that is not the case, they too must pick up on the mood of the crowd. Either way, currently these substitutions would seem unlikely to inspire the player’s already on the pitch, which can’t help really, especially if they need to turn the game. I suspect the same could be the case with supporters’ current expectations of Tyro, but at least there have been some signs of hope, and his confidence seems to be on the up for the moment, which can’t be said of the other two.

I would be absolutely delighted if both Costa and Poveda came on against Everton and put in storming performances, which inspired them to previously unseen, and consistent heights for the rest of the season. If this possibly unlikely scenario does not unfold, given the above, it might be best for all concerned if they were helped to find new clubs, hopefully ones where they could flourish. They’re both decent lads with undoubted talent, and it’s a pity that it seems unlikely to work out for either of them here.
