Bate transfer set to be announced today as he has passed his medical. The 1.2 million deal includes a substantial sell on clause should we sell him down the line.

Of course, we’ll only need to pay out on that clause if we actually sell Bate. If we continue our upward trajectory and qualify for Europe etc, and he fulfills his very evident potential, we won’t want to sell him and he won’t want to leave - everyone’s a winner- except Chelski😎.
