I’m very much hoping to be surprised in Dublin, but based upon today I cannot say we look even nearly ready, and yes, there’s sixteen days to go before Everton, but is a very tame Devon game and three behind doors friendlies against lowly German sides meaningful preparation for the premier league.
All other epl sides appear to be playing friendlies against a much higher level of opposition but maybe you have to earn that right.
Thought we were fortunate to get a draw today and I’m sure Milan will show how close we really are to being ready for Everton.
Already Perri and Bogle doubtful for that game.
We look four or five players short at this time, hopefully significant meaningful (quality) developments over the next week.
I’m the glass half full perspective normally but would give our premier league readiness a 6.5 at this stage.
