If you ever think things are bad with Leeds and their transfers, (I know we are all happy now) but spare a thought for Burnley fans whose club has just booked a medical with Patrick Bamford! Wow if that’s the best they can do for the premier then they are in serious trouble! ?♂️?♂️.

What do you mean cracking signing what a player 25 million ain t it but if it were me I would leave him go free get him off wage bill, he s taken enough money out of us and I can’t see him putting 5,000 over the bar there so don’t be quick to judge, because were getting some change for him cheerio bam bam.

Not seen that Woodster, where'dyou hear that? Maybe you got it from a misleading headline but didn't read full article as it says Burnley interested in Bamford, and Leeds have Perri medical booked?

Injuries aside, he has been a good signing, and Leeds through and through. He's had a lot of crap to deal with from some fans, and I wish him well. Good luck Pat.

Through + Through eh? ,
Over 2 million quid a year, played sparsely for 18months, had 1 good season in all that time
I would hate to see a player whose only Leeds just " through" because it seems the Through and Through are really special ?
Patrick must have gotten you a pint that time the 5k went over bar.

It was on Leeds rumours and News Now Canada. Good luck to him if he does go as he’s been a good servant in the past, god only knows what JohnHarrison1965 is referring to or who he's getting at but my point was it looks like Burnley are stuck in the mud with their rebuilding and I wouldn’t be a happy fan! Thankfully we have the 49ers ??.

Absolutely shocking player and only thing that he s ever taken well is his wages highest at the club for a while and every season when we wanted him he was never there it’s football look can t get to sentimental, like other clubs show no remorse we ve got to do the same, and there’s been some who have served Leeds well but not bamford get rid soon has and also he can’t take any more penalties for us then even though missed more than scored.
24 Jul 2025 20:55:17
Good luck to the lad - mind you, it could be a very long medical!

Think John Harrison isn’t a fan!
I wish him luck he was a funny character played the fans well and his wilder chant will go down in history.
24 Jul 2025 21:25:27
Yes I wish him well too Woodster, I'm sure he'd have rather been playing than being injured so won't hold that against him.
Plus he kept going even when he got treated like crap after the penalty miss, with his family getting death threats etc.
Wish him luck expect when it affects us!

I think some of the criticism of Bamford is totally unfair. Yes he is paid well compared to the supporters but that is the contract that he was offered by the club. He can't be slagged off because he's hit a period in his career when he's carrying injuries and either can't play or is unable to play to his full potential. Whenever he is on the pitch he always runs, always presses and always gives his all.
There are some players across the leagues who haven't performed because they weren't professional and burnt the candle at both ends. That's not something that you can pin on Paddy. He always did his best and would have liked to have given more but unfortunately he couldn't.

Great posts Canada and Dunelm, nice words and your class remarks totally sums Bam Bam up. He has worked hard even when he wasn’t playing, never stayed away and always showed the others lots of encouragement from the sidelines. Yes he’s paid well but I’m sure non of us would turn down money laid on a plate for us, and remember a footballers career ends pretty early in life so they take what they are given, it’s that simple. Good posts though lads ????.

Dunelm, I ain't slagging Paddy off 1 bit, . of course I would also take whatever cash was offered, and as you say no sports star can play when injured, Simple science
I, as always stated in this instance have issue with silly straplines from fans and media about players .
Bamfords had more clubs than Phil Mickelson and he stayed longest with 1 who gave him most cash
Again Simple Science, so bleeding teams colours and through &through, giving it all, all those type straplines imo are ridiculous
Leeds made him and his family Multi multi millionaires over the 8ish seasons
Simple science again ?
Yet I don't see that posted about him when he's bleeding Leeds colours.

Totally disagree with the anti BamBam rhetoric, and I've said it before too many times. Can't begrudge a guy accepting a deal he's been offered. Criticise the game, Sky TV and the authorities, not the player, for the money aspect. What's he supposed to do? Go "Nah, that's alright pal, don't want that much, so just gimme min wage and a ford cavalier. "? ?????.

I'm with you on this one Bright!
All these Paddy haters. a player doesn't want to be injured.
Ran himself into the ground for Bielsa and rushed back from injuries.
Wish him all the best!
