He was our #1 left-back option but too expensive.

Looks a proper player.

Well it’s like I just mentioned to mr bright white, that we ve pulled out of 3 cracking deals after scouting them pulled out because of price but surely we are not in it to sign 20 players just improve on the team from last year where we played good football add a little quality to that which I hope we have but we pulled out of them deals because of cost and nothing else diarra, sadiki, melic diouf, and like I said 3 really good players only 1 of them had to be really good all teams would then be trying to buy them but the thing is mr bright white says Leeds are not trying to do cheap deals yet we missed out on the 3 of them to smaller clubs.

Just have a look at the Sunderland and Burnley transfer feeds. The Clarets is about as depressing as ours but Sunderland's is totally positive. They're still in the market for a keeper, defenders and a no.10.
This is a club that finished way below us last season and only made it into the Premier League by the skin of their teeth. And now they are just blowing us out of the water.
We have comments that media interest and leaks are hampering transfer negotiations. It doesn't seem to be that way on Wearside. What is hampering us is the inept negotiators and the unwillingness of the owners to realise that to survive in this league requires more than £3m bargains like Ao, whoever good the turn out to be.
I may have to eat humble pie if all these behind the scenes negotiations bring in the four or five top targets we've been secretly after. However, I'm not holding my breath.
As someone at the club once said, "I do contracts in my sleep". I think it's about time he woke up and smelled the coffee before it's too late.

Loads of pure speculation, without foundation.

We're Leeds genuinely looking at those players before Sunderland snapped them up.
We will never know, unless a member of the board are part of this group ??.

Dunelm, Sunderland are not negotiating, they are paying what's asked, i could do that for them!
They are going to struggle without defensive reinforcements.

There is a lot of click bait out there but it's interesting that when rumours appear related to Sunderland then the players often do end up singing for them fairly quickly. Nmecha was out of the blue and gave some confidence that the targets were in place and deals would be rapidly made. However Bijol and Gud seem to take an age. It looks like Longstaff will eventually sign. Hopefully for £10m and a few million based on us staying up. But that has been a saga as well.

Under the previous owner/ directorship, Leeds seemed to be wary of signing players who were likely to be called up for Afcon duties. 49ers were obviously ‘in the building’ during that time, as was Underwood, and it wouldn’t surprise me (though I may be wrong) if that approach had changed significantly - particularly as we’re still in the process of trying to establish ourselves back in the Prem, and small margins could make the difference between staying up or not.
