With Petrovic apparently due to have a medical at Bournemouth, Milinkovic-Savic holding out for a Napoli move and Perri’s situation at Lyon far from straight forward, it’s to be hoped that we have other targets lined up, and that we manage to bring someone decent in shortly, we really can’t afford to be hanging on much longer as the defence need to be able to use preseason to build a confident relationship with a new No1, rather than getting the jitters with Meslier/ Darlow.

Totally agree Cluey. The reports re VMS last night represented the first time I've felt slightly twitchy about this transfer window! Perrin will also be a great signing, but we need to send the message out to other possible signings, that we have a highly reliable GK in the bag.
