Some maybe envious of Sunderland's spending this summer but they are taking a big risk, non of the players they’ve bought are over 21 years old, no real experience but a lot of potential perhaps?
For Leeds i’m happy with the mix of players we are bringing in and focusing heavily on our defense makes good sense to me.
Sunderland are however desperate for a striker as goals will be a worry for them, same for us too, but finding a good number nine for the premiership is not easy, i'm not sure either of us will attract a quality signing for this position.
Goalkeeper for me is the least important, i’m happy to keep Meslier and Darlow, I think the better keeper out of these two will rise to the surface, we don’t need to waste money on another keeper that may or may not deliver.
We can stick that extra 15 Mil + on a striker.

Great points there OP. Totally concur with the first 3/ 4, but, blimey forget the tin hat and find a nuclear bunker regarding the GK position ?.

Good post OP.

OP you’re one of this sites best posters but I disagree on all of the above.
Every promoted team, especially the bigger clubs, has to take the chance and spend big otherwise what’s the point? It’s called ambition and I, while a tad surprised, applaud the Sunderland board on their ambition. They’ve bought young energetic players with potentially great resale value. They have a smart coach who sets his team up well and adapts to different opposition. Their board has spent peanuts in recent seasons which puts them in a decent position. Can they stay up only time will tell but at least they are giving it a go. Salute to them.
It’s time for us Leeds United to show the same ambition which even though I’m getting a little nervous I believe we will.
I’ll leave alone the GK comment as I’m lost for words on that particular statement.,

Never thought while writing that post that a single Leeds fan would agree with me, I entertain the left side, the place that most people don’t won’t to go.
Life is not a straight line and invariably unpredictable.

Mmmmm. No comment.

Well op I might not truly agree with anything there 1 the 2 boys stole from us are 2 internationals they both play for their country, and as corkey, says they both young run all day and if you watched Englands game the other night you would have seen diarra, score against them, but on the other subject you might be right I know we linked with about 30 keepers but as I always say 29 of them gone and what i am finding now is I know we’re linked to all the big price keepers, but we ve just been linked to Gunn from Norwich on free and the way things are going it’s starting to get a bit worrying now.

And the thing that I have noticed with Leeds for about the last 4 / 5 years is the fans are always the last to know about a deal, because every time Leeds linked with player for 20 million, 30 million we. Never seem to honestly have bid for them, it’s like diarra, sadiki, an argentine centre back for 30 Million, kristvic, Rodrigo de Paul last year they all disappear, like all links last year to a midfielder some big money guys, we bought tanaka and give pittance for him, but luckily worked out well for us for change, I am starting to feel the same again now reading between lines Leeds can spend 150 million without psr getting involved now on 2 pages tonight we only have 100 million, the thing is to stay in premiership we simply need some quality, and that costs, but we’re already pulling out of deals if they cost price, like diouf, who we linked with he can play in 4 positions still young but will cost 23 million so we pulling away from deals and now being linked with Gunn On a free, hamer midfield 6/ 8 million, come on they not giving us the backing are they I just think they don’t trust mr farke.

Why be worried? Ask yourself the question, is it possible to win a title with a serious goalkeeping deficiency?
Fans have decided that our goalkeepers are desperately inefficient, I maybe in the minority but I don’t see why that is.
I’m not convinced that it’s our weakest position and i would not be surprised if the club do not buy another keeper, perhaps more likely new contracts for the ones we already have.

If that’s a serious post opti you best take yourself off to the local asylum. If you can’t see that our goalkeepers are not prem standard you are off your rocker. Or just winding us up. Even the impartial Ed’s say mez is rubbish. He needs to be put away for fraud. You got me going now. We woulda won that league by 15 clear if not for him. Most likely set new records for points and goals scored. He single handedly denied Leeds of making history. Even seeing him in training annoys me. He will never be a top flight goalie again.

That would only be your opinion Aus and not fact. Professional sports people can fall and make mistakes, doesn’t mean they can’t come back and be better than they were.
Meslier has a decent attitude and works hard in training, there’s still an opportunity to redeem himself and win back his number 1 shirt in my opinion.

Ausman and mr op the thing is your not reading big picture why is Leeds struggling to get these deals done I know they don’t happen in 5 mins but Liverpool took a while to get Florian wirtz, deal done but that was for 200 million odd come on it’s not making sense you can bet we ain’t getting stach either, because like I ve already said we not competing for them prices of players.
